The ninth session of the CAHO- ISQua Webinar Series on Management of Risk in
Healthcare by Dr. Charles Vincent, Emeritus Professor of Psychology, Univ. of
Psychology (UK) was attended 380+ participants across the globe on 3rd August. It
was moderated by Mrs. Upasana Arora, Director, Yashoda Superspeciality
Hospital, Kaushambi (Ghaziabad). CAHO Governing Committee members also

ISSUES IN CLINICAL PRACTICE

CAHO conducted its sixth monthly session of Continuing
Quality Education Series (CQE) in association with Asian
Society for Quality in Healthcare (ASQua). The session theme
was Medico-Legal Issues in Clinical Practice.
Prof Dato' Dr Ravindran Jegasothy (Immediate Past
President, ASQua), Mr Sanjay Pinto (Advocate, Arbitrator,
Legal Columnist, Author & Former Resident Editor - NDTV
24x7), Mr Siddharth Aggarwal (Senior Advocate, Delhi High
Court), Mr Rajshekhar Rao )Senior Advocate, Delhi High
Court), Dr Nalanda Jayadev (Chief Operating Officer,
Rajagiri Hospital Aluva), Dr T N Ravisankar (Former
President, IMA Tamil Nadu) and Dr Suganthi Iyer (Deputy
Director Legal & Medical, P.D. Hinduja Hospital Mumbai)
were among the speakers who deliberated on various topics
ranging from medical negligence, confidentiality and
privileging in communication, common mistakes in a hospital
setting and their legal Implications, dilemmas of MLC,
advanced medical directives and handling of legal notices
and summons.
The session was well attended by 300+ partcipants. It was
organized by Dr. S Ramesh Babu (Organizing Chairman),
Dr. S Saravana Kumar & Dr Sinthi Pal (Organizing
Secretaries) under the leadership of CAHO Quality
Professionals Wing.
