FAQs:
Question: What is the “Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps Associate” program?

Answer: We created a new learning path that includes carefully curated content to help
you refresh or increase your understanding of CBROPS (Understanding Cisco
Cybersecurity Operations Fundamentals). You’ll get free access to content that teaches
you the skills and knowledge necessary to be a contributing member of a SOC team and
prepare for the 200-201 CBROPS exam. This includes a selection of labs and assessments
to enhance your learning experience. Completing the challenge can award you
Continuing Education (CE) credits.

Question: How many Continuing Education (CE) credits can I earn for Rev Up to
Recert: CyberOps Associate?

Answer: You can earn 30 Continuing Education (CE) credits.

Questions: What are the qualifications to participate in Rev Up to Recert:


CyberOps Associate?

Answer: You must hold an active Cisco certification to be eligible to earn the associated
CE Credits, however, the learning path will be open and available to all.

Question: What account do I use to complete the Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps


Associate program?

Answer: Ensure you've logged in to Cisco U. using the Cisco.com login (CCO ID)
associated with your active certifications.

Question: When does the Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps Associate program start
and when does it end?

Answer: The program will begin on October 2, 2023 and the last day to complete it will
be November 17, 2023.
Question: When is the last day to claim my CE credits for the Rev Up to Recert:
CyberOps Associate program?

Answer: The last day to submit your claim for Continuing Education (CE) credits is
November 30, 2023.

Question: Is there a quiz/test at the end of the Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps


Associate Learning Path?

Answer: Each main course (e.g. section/chapter) under the CBROPS Learning Path
curriculum contains one post-assessment, and there are seven (7) post-assessments in
total.

Question: How do I complete the Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps Associate


program?

Answer: You must review all materials and receive a status of “100% Complete” within
the specified date. In addition, you must score 80% or higher on all post-assessments.
The CBROPS Learning Path contains a total of seven (7) post-assessments.

Important note: For the Rev Up to Recert program specifically, achieving a "PASS" status
on the post-assessment score report alone does not meet the requirements for earning
free CE credits. You must attain a score of 80% or higher on all post-assessments.

Question: I completed the Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps Associate program using


a different account from one that is associated with my active certifications, do I
have to start all over?

Answer: No, please open a discussion post on the Rev Up to Recert Community and one
of our Community Managers will reach out to you directly.

Question: I completed the Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps Associate program.


When will I receive the “Claim Instructions” email for the CE credits?

Answer: After completing the program, you’ll receive a “Claim Instructions” email within
24-48 hours.
Question: What are the Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps Associate Claim Instructions
for the CE credits?

Answer: The “Claim Instructions” email will list all the necessary information required to
submit your claim. However, you may also use the instructions below to submit your
claim.

Log in to the CE Portal with the cisco.com account associated with your active
certification. Navigate to the Submit Items page, and complete the form as follows:

• Item Name: Understanding Cisco Cybersecurity Operations Fundamentals |


CBROPS
• Item Type: Cisco U Learning Path
• Provider: Cisco U.

Please make sure to enter your “Start Date”, such as when you started the challenge
and “Completion Date”, such as the date when you received “100% Complete” status.
These details are required.

Please also make sure all your entries are correct and select Submit. In the pop-up
window, select Yes to confirm your submission.

Question: It’s been over 48 hours, and I still haven’t received the Claim
Instructions email for the Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps Associate CE credits.
What gives?

Answer:

• Check your JUNK/SPAM mail.


• Ensure you've completed the program on or before the specified completion
deadline and are using a Cisco.com login (CCO ID) associated with your active
certifications.

Question: I submitted the CE credit claim for Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps


Associate, how long does it take to get approved?

Answer: Please note that most claims are validated within seven (7) days, but it can take
up to thirty (30) days.Once approved, your claim status in the CE Portal will change to
Earned, and credits will automatically apply toward your current recertification cycle
within 24-48 hours. To monitor your recertification status, please log in to your
Certification Tracking System profile.
Question: My certification/s is/are about to expire within a week, is there any
way to expedite my CE credit claim request for Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps
Associate?

Answer: Requesting an escalation will not be necessary. If you complete the program
before your certification expires, BUT your claim is submitted or validated after the
expiration date, the CE credits will still be valid for recertification. Any pending CE
credits at the time of expiration will be retroactively applied towards recertification
based on the activity completion date, provided that your claim is approved.

Question: Why was my CE credit claim denied for Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps
Associate?

Answer:

• User unknown
• The email address/CCO ID associated with the claim DOES NOT APPEAR on the
approved program list.
• The email address/CCO ID DOES NOT MATCH the email address/CCO-ID used to
complete the challenge.
• The Rev Up to Recert program is incomplete. Please double-check the CBROPS
Learning Path to ensure that you received a status of “100% Complete” and
scored 80% or higher on all post-assessments.

Question: Who do I contact for support if I experience problems with Rev Up to


Recert: CyberOps Associate?

Answer: For community support, please open a thread on the Rev Up to Recert
Community.

Alternatively, If you are experiencing an issue that is specific to the CBROPS Learning
Path within Cisco U. (e.g. progress update issues, content issues, etc.), you can open a
support request with the Cisco U. Support team for assistance.

Question: Are there any other or upcoming Rev Up to Recert programs I can
participate in?

Question: I don’t see my Cisco Certification digital badges on my Cisco Learning
Network community profile. Will this have a negative impact on my
participation in the Rev Up To Recert program?

Answer: No, the Cisco Certification digital badges are for display purposes only. If your
digital badges are not displayed on your profile, it will not have any impact at all on your
participation in the Rev Up to Recert program or your free CE credits.

Question: I completed one or more of the items under the Rev Up to Recert:
CyberOps Associate program, but my progress is not updating. What can I do?

Answer: If you are experiencing an issue that is specific to the CBROPS Learning Path
within Cisco U. (e.g. progress update issues, content issues, etc.), you can open a
support request with the Cisco U. Support team for assistance.

Question: Are the Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps Associate program dates and
deadlines specifically linked to my actual Cisco certification expiration dates?

Answer: No, the dates and deadlines of the Rev Up to Recert program are completely
independent of any candidate’s actual Cisco certification expiration dates. It is the
responsibility of each candidate to monitor their certification expiration dates through
their Certification Tracking System profile and ensure they fulfill the recertification
requirements on or before their certification expiration date.

Question: My Cisco Certification is already expired. Am I eligible to participate in


the Rev Up to Recert: CyberOps Associate program in order to earn CE credits
and renew my expired certification?

Answer: You must hold an active Cisco certification to be eligible to earn the associated
CE Credits, however the learning path will be open and available to all. To ensure that
the CE credits can be applicable for recertification, candidates must successfully
complete the program by or before their certification expiration date.

However, if you complete the program before your certification expires, BUT your claim
is submitted or validated after the expiration date, the CE credits will still be valid for
recertification. Any pending CE credits at the time of expiration will be retroactively
applied towards recertification based on the activity completion date, provided that
your claim is approved.
