DELFI SETUP

1. Speed test
Participants will need to check their connectivity test of their home network
using the link given:
https://cloudharmony.com/speedtest-for-google:compute-asia-southeast1-b
The results will show your network connectivity results.

Pre-class For a good remote visualization experience, you can use the following metrics as guidelines:

DELFI
1. Go to
https://delfi.slb.com/.
Make sure you use
google chrome
browser in your
personal PC.
2. Sign up to DELFI using
your assign company
email. User will have
multiple factor
authentication during
sign in.
3. You will need to click
send verification code
to send to your email.

4. Go to “Workspace” tab on the left and then click Launch Geologist Plus Profile

If you cannot see the subscription, you will need to check if your profile is
assigned in the right department

*In your profile on top right, ensure


that you are in the right Department-

5. A new tab will open. Please wait for the cloud workstation to initialize and create your profile. For first time, the initialization
will take >10 min to setup. This is like setting up reformatting a new machine for you. Subsequent log-in will just take 5-10 mins.
6. Go to Cloud Workstation > Download the .exe file for remote app and tgx receiver.
7. After installing these application. You can now start to open the Remote Desktop (tgx) or you can also start Petrel standalone
rdp (In applications). You will need to click the Petrel application/ Remote desktop and launch it.

8. If you decide to run remote desktop (.tgx), this is how it will look like. By default, it *Extra tip before launching tgx: If you have 2 screen and would like the tgx to
will be on full screen, but you can change into a windowed version by just changing open at only 1 screen. In the chrome browser> DELFI tab> Your workspace

If you decide to launch Remote Desktop .RDP
11. If you decide to run just Remote Desktop .rdp (When .tgx is not working). Click Remote Desktop (.rdp)
launcher and a RemoteApp.rdp will be downloaded.
12. Launch it and click connect.
13. When asked for credentials, you will need to generate a password in the DELFI Workspace Solution
webpage. Copy the password and paste it. Then Remote Desktop.rdp will open.

If you decide to launch Standalone Software
11. If you decide to run just remote desktop .rdp such as the Techlog standalone .rdp. Click Petrel launcher
and a RemoteApp.rdp will be downloaded.
12. Launch it and click connect.
13. When asked for credentials, you will need to generate a password in the DELFI Workspace Solution
webpage. Copy the password and paste it. Then Petrel standalone .rdp will open.
