UANE INTRODUCTION + The purpose of this essay is to demonstrate how my life has been affected both positively and negatively by the Covid-19 pandemic over the last seven months. Also, it describes my high school graduation experience and how | want future generations to remember the Class of 2020. ys \ << : —~“ ESSAY ON THE EXPERIENCE OF THE PANDEMIC + The coronavirus, or COVID-19, should be known to everyone by now. In January 2020, the coronavirus spread around the world after starting in China and reaching the US. There are a number of symptoms associated with the virus, including shortness of breath, chills, sore throat, headaches, headache, loss of taste and smell, runny nose, vomiting, and nausea. Symptoms may not appear for up to 14 days, as already stated. Furthermore, the virus is highly contagious, making it dangerous for people of all ages. The virus attacks the immune system, putting the elderly and those with chronic illnesses at risk. + Researchers discovered that the virus originated in China while delving into its origins. Despite everything scientists have analyzed, the virus originated in a bat and spread to other animals, eventually reaching humans. Sporting events, concerts, large gatherings, and subsequent school events were canceled across the United States as the numbers rapidly increased. In January of this year, the virus was first reported in the news and media. It seemed that the virus posed no threat to the United States and many other countries around the world. Various health officials around the world were alerted to the virus over the following months as it spread rapidly. + Atthat time, the schools were officially closed for the remainder of the school year. A new standard was set through distance learning, online classes, and online courses. On May 4, the School District Of Philadelphia began offering remote and online classes. My classes started at 8 am and lasted until 3 pm four days a week. | had never come across virtual learning befor Like millions of students across the country, jing was new and different for me. As a we were forced to qo from physically attending school, interacting with our peers and teachers, participating in school events, and simply being in a classroom, to simply seeing each other throuigh a computer screen. All of us Could not have predicted that. All of this happened so suddenly and without warning. We strive to keep the spirit of community alive and enrich the lives of our people as much as we can.
