Hygiene is a collection of behaviours that we engage in to remain healthy and keep others
around us safe. According to the World Health Organisation, Hygiene refers to the conditions
and activities that aid in the maintenance of health and the prevention of disease. Hygiene can
be managed on both a community and individual basis. Personal hygiene is a practice that an
individual engages in to maintain their bodily health and well-being through cleanliness.
b. Personal Hygiene plays an important part in creating the First Impression. What are
the key areas (hygiene) that Rahul/Ria should keep in mind for that lasting first
impression? (5 Marks)

Introduction
In today's world, personal hygiene is important for both fitness and social reasons. To prevent
the spread of disease and ailment, it is important to remain clean. This easy habit is beneficial
to your health as well as the health of those around you. It curtails the risk of body odor and,
as a result, the possibility of discomfort and humiliation at work or school.
