CHILDREN TEACHINGS
October 2023.

WEEK 2
Theme: The Word of GOD
Topic: TEMPLE OF GOD - 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 NKJV
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES – That each pupil might know that God dwells in them
MEMORY VERSE:
“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God
dwells in you?” (v. 16) NKJV

God made human to dwell in us as a temple (1 Corinthians 6:16). A temple is a dwelling

place of a god. That is why He made you like Himself, so that He can fit in to you dwell
in you (Genesis 1:27). Sin make God not to continue to dwell in Adam and Eve (Genesis
2:16-17). As many as accept Jesus into their lives now have Jesus living in them by the
Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16). That is why we must not use our body anyhow because
God is living in us (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Whoever use his/her body for sin, God will
destroy (1 Corinthians 3:17). So, we must always keep in mind and keep our body from
sin to serve God alone.

QUESTIONS:
1. What is a temple?
2. What can make God to leave us?

Week 3
Theme: Wisdom of God
Topic: ATTITUDE
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES – That each pupil might know it is wisdom to have right and
positive attitudes.
MEMORY VERSE: Matthew 5:16
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and
glorify your Father in heaven" (v. 29) NKJV

Attitude are the way we behave or respond to people or issues of life. The way you
respond to issues is the way life will respond back to you (Galatian 6:7). Our attitudes
are formed from what we keep hearing which becomes our believes (Proverbs 23:7).
Our believes formed our character, our character forms our habits and habits forms our
attitude. The word of God teaches us to let our attitude be good to everyone. By good
attitude we will be at peace with ourself and others (Hebrews 12:14). That way, we will
find the favour of God with people (Luke 2:52). Bad attitude will not let people help us.
The good attitude are love, joy, peace, patience, forgiveness, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, humility, and self-control etc. These are the fruits of the Holy Spirit
(Galatians 5:22-23) GNT

QUESTIONS
1. What is Attitude?
2. How do we form our attitude?
3. How does our attitudes affect our lives?

Week 4
Theme: Purpose
Topic BECOMING BEST FRIENDS WITH GOD

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: That the pupil might know what determine their quality
worship to God.
MEMORY VERSE: Romans 5:10 GNT
“We were God's enemies, but he made us his friends through the death of his
Son. Now that we are God's friends, how much more will we be saved by
Christ's life!” (v. 13) GNT

Even though God is the Almighty, your saviour and redeemer, yet He wants you to be
your best friend (John 15:15). We see this example in His relationship with Adam and
Eve in the garden of Eden (Genesis 3:8-19). Adam and Eve lost this privilege because of
sin. Only few people in the Old Testament were called friend of God. Eg. Abraham and
Moses. (Isaiah 41:8). David was called a man after His heart (Act 13:22). You can
become His friend though constant communication and meditation in His words (1
Thessalonian 5:17; Psalm 1:1-3). You can remain as His best friend if you keep obeying
His instructions (John 15:14).

QUESTIONS
1. Why do God want to be your best friend?
2. How can I be His best friend?

Week 5
Theme: Word of God
Topic OUR MANDATE AT CREATION

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: That the pupil might know what God mandate them to lead in
their world.
MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 8:3-6 NKJV
“You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You
have put all things under his feet,” (v. 6) NKJV

God made you like Himself to be able to govern the earth for Him. So, at creation, God
gave human the mandate of dominion that will help him/her govern the earth (Genesis
1:26-28). The ability to lead and govern others (dominion) is in you (Psalm 8:4-6). NLT.
This dominion is not by bossing others but by leading others into the will of God (Mark
10:42-45). Sin takes away our ability in God but Jesus came to restore it back to us
(Romans 3:23). We take dominion when we bring solution to situations and allow the
character of God to manifest through us (Act 1:6-8). Then, He will enable you to rule in
your generation.

QUESTIONS
1. What does it mean to have dominion?
2. How can we gain dominion?
