I am Xiaoyu Xue, the Project Manager of the NPO. I wanted to reach out to you on
behalf of our exciting playground project, which aims to create a safe and fun space for
children in our community. I am delighted to contribute to the community with you.
Our project’s Build Week spans four days, from June 26th to 29th, during which we
require volunteers to assist in the installation of playground equipment. Our schedule
is divided into a total of eight 3-hour shifts, with 15 volunteers needed for each shift.
These shifts are planned daily from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 2 PM to 5 PM.
Considering that there are different volunteers in the morning and afternoon on the same
day, and volunteers may have time conflicts, I kindly request your assistance in
recruiting a total of 45 volunteers to manage this important task. Your local connections
and insights can help us reach this goal effectively.
The following is the volunteer recruitment material we have prepared, which includes
an introduction to the NPO and the playground project, the requirements for volunteers,

Who We Are
XYZ NPO is dedicated to ensuring that all children have access to safe and engaging
play spaces. Our Mission is to address inequities in access to playspaces between lower-
income and higher-income neighborhoods.
This Playground Replacement Project aims to replace an outdated playground on a
4,000 sq. ft. lot within 13 weeks, providing a safe entertainment space for local children.
Why Volunteer with Us
l Work with professionals. You'll work with experts in the construction industry and
can communicate projects and ideas directly with them.
l Increase professional experience. You will be exposed to real construction projects
and use your experience to enhance your resume.
l Meet like-minded friends. You'll meet many people who share your passion for the
construction industry and volunteering.
l Get job opportunities. Last year, a student who participated in our volunteer
program was offered an internship opportunity by our partner because of his
outstanding performance.
l Get free meals. We offer lunch and dinner for volunteers every day.
What We Need You (Volunteers) to Do
l You will work during June 26th to 29th Build Week, from 9 AM to 12 PM or from
2 PM to 5 PM.
l You are expected to do labor work, including equipment moving, assembling,
installing, and painting. Technical background would be preferred, but pre-job
training will also be provided.
We Hope You (Volunteers) Are
l Male or female who can accept at least three hours of physical labor.
l Above 18 years old.
l Available from June 26th to 29th.
l Someone with an engineering study or work background. Bachelor's degree holder
in engineering or one year of engineering related work experience will be preferred.
l Fond of volunteer work, especially addressing playspace inequity issues.
l Equipped with excellent learning and communication skills.
