Grasshopper
The chirp of the grasshopper is one of the best-known
sounds of summer.The sound is made by male
grasshoppers rubbing their hind legs against their
wings.Grasshoppers can be found in grassy places all
over the world.especially in warmer countries.There are
over 9,000 species and not all them re able to fly.

What is it?
What is informational text?
-text with primary purpose of expressing information
about the arts,science or social studies.This rangers
from newspaper and magazine articles to digital
information to non fiction trade books to textbooks and
reference materials.
Types of informational text:
Literary Non fiction-includes shorter texts,such as
“personal essays,speeches,opinion pieces,essays about
about art or literature.
Narrative informational text
-typically communicates accurate information and has
a well-defined beginning,middle and end
Expository
-utilize various text structures such as
description,cause and effect, comparison and contrast
and problem and solution.
Argument of persuasion
-provide evidence with the intent of influencing the
beliefs or actions of the target audience.These text
typically include claims,evidence and warrant to explain
how the evidence is linked to the claims.
Procedural text
-Provide step-by-step guidelines that describe how to
complete a task.
