Elevator Rescue Instructions

1. These instructions outline procedures for authorized personnel to rescue trapped passengers from a stuck elevator car. 2. If power is on, turn switches on and use buttons to drive the car to the nearest floor, then open the door and let passengers out. 3. If power is off, open the brake lever to slowly move the car, stopping periodically, until it reaches a floor where the door can be opened to release passengers. 4. Contact maintenance if the car does not move or for any rescue event. Refer to the owner's manual for more details.

BEFORE USING THIS HANDLE MAKE SURE THAT

ALL DOORS ARE CLOSED

How to rescue trapped passengers


These operations are to be performed by authorized persons on Warning!

Moving the elevator car is permitted only if the elevator car is stuck between floors and the car doors are
closed.

If power is on follow the instruction given below


1. Inform the passengers that you are about to let them out.

2. Turn 270 switch ON.

3. Push the 270: RB button together with RDP UP or RDF DOWN on LOPCB board to drive the car to the
nearest floor.

4. The car is on a floor, when the green door zone indicator in LOPCB board is ON.

5. Close and lock the panel door

6. Open the door and let passengers out.

If power is off, or the previous procedure did not work, follow the instruction given below.
1. Inform the passengers that you are about to let them out.

2. Check that all elevator shaft doors are closed.

3. Switch the main power off.

4. Open the brake with release lever.


5. See the SPEED light on LOPCB board if the car starts to move Stop it by letting the brake close after
every 1-2 seconds.

6. The car is on a floor, when the green door zone indicator in LOPCB board is ON.

7. Close the brake.

8. Close and lock the panel door

9. Open the door and let passengers out.

If the elevator car did not move as a result of the procedures in these instructions, contact your
maintenance company. All rescue events must be reported to the maintenance company. Refer to the
Owner's Manual for more instructions.
