Write Up - ITV Train Inspection System - FS - V.0.JGT
Introduction:
By virtue of a memorandum signed by the COO last 15 August 2023 (with Ref.
No. MEM-LRMC-COO-0004), a Technical Working Group (TWG) was created to
conduct a Feasibility Study (FS) for the establishment of an IT assisted train
inspection system as part of the efficiency improvement program of
LRMC/ENG.
Objectives:
One area being explored is the digitization of inspection for the Light
Maintenance Section (LMS).
Deliverables:
Provide an outline of the various scenarios/assumptions, potential
challenges and approach based on the underlying requirements (as
described in the RSK wish list).
1
Gather information and investigate technical alternatives, with
corresponding positive or negative outcomes.
Identify actions on how to overcome major roadblocks.
Assess the risks vs. gains/rewards of moving forward with the project.
Recommend proceeding if it is feasible.
