By Ernili - Crochet: Terms of Use

This document provides instructions for making the Arachne top using crochet. It includes a list of materials needed like yarn, a hook, and a ring. It provides abbreviations and measurements needed. The instructions explain how to make two cups with straps attached to a ring in the middle. Multiple rows are crocheted and chains are made for the straps. The ring is attached by pulling the yarn through it and securing. The straps are then crocheted and more rows are made to add thickness.

CUPS
Make a starting chain that is the length of
Measurement A.
Row 1: Hdc in the second ch from your hook and
each ch until you reach the last ch. In last ch,
(hdc 2, ch1, hdc 2) in same st. Working on the
opposite side of your chain, Hdc in each ch to
end. Turn

Row 2: Ch1, Hdc in each st until you reach the

ch1 space. In ch1 space, (2hdc, ch1, 2hdc). Hdc in
each st to end. Turn

Rows 3 and on: Repeat Row 2 until your cup

bottom is one row away from measurement B.

Last row: Repeat Row 2 until you reach the ch1

space. Hdc 2 times in ch1 space, ch 70 (or as
long as necessary for your straps), sc in the first
back bump of ch from hook and each back bump
until you reach your ch1 space. Hdc 2 times in
ch1 sp and each st to end. Do not fasten off!

(when making the second cup repeat the same

steps as in the first cup, except when you reach
the end of your cup you don't attach the ring in
one go ,but fasten off and attach the yarn on
the opposite side of the cup so that both cups
will be facing the right side up. Then continue
doing the same steps as before.)

on the next page I'll show you how to attach the

ring.
ATTACH THE RING AND
MAKE THE STRAPS
to attach the ring put
your crochet hook
through the ring ,grab
the yarn and pull it
through the ring and
make a sp st( See figure
1-2)

ch 1 and Hdc across the

underside of you cup
( see figure 3)
then make a long chain
for the strap, this chain
should be long enough to
wrap around your
stomach twice in order to
tie it in different ways
( I made chained 200)
add 1 extra chain and sc
into the second chain and
across the long chain
continue on the next
that you made and the
page
underside of your cup.
when you reach the ring
again you'll basically do the
same thing as before, so put
the hook through the ring
grab the yarn and pull it
through the hook and sp st.
(See figure 1-2)
start the next row by turning
your work (you'll have to put
the hook completely through
the ring in order to turn)
ch1 and sc across the
underside of your cup and
the strap again.
When you reach the end of
your strap Ch1 and sc the
next round by repeating the
same steps.
you can add as many rows as
you like, depending on how
thick you want the strap to
be (I made 4 rows of sc)
when you finish the first cup
fasten of
You’re done!
