Ovation™ HART 8-Channel

Analog Output Module
(5X0062G01/5X00063G01)
Features
▪ Directly links the Ovation™ control system to
intelligent field devices
▪ Uses the AMS Suite: Intelligent Device
Manager for information collection and
maintenance
▪ Interfaces through a low-level frequency shift
keyed sine wave signal superimposed on a
standard analog 4 - 20 mA loop

Introduction Module Features

Ovation™ automation technology offers the ability ▪ Eight 4 - 20 mA analog output channels
to solve complex automation issues occurring in
power generation plants and water/wastewater ▪ 16 MHz micro-controller for A/D and D/A
treatment facilities. Ovation’s open, expandable conversion and HART interface control
architecture allows customers to take advantage ▪ 14-bit A/D converter shared amongst 8 output
of continuing strides in technology without cost channels
prohibitive changes to their control systems.
▪ Array of switches superimpose transmitted signals
Ovation HART input/output modules directly link upon each 4 - 20 mA analog outputs to the output
the Ovation system to intelligent devices in the device
field, allowing operators to easily gather ▪ Software configurable I/O bus communication
information from plant equipment as well as from time-out period
process control sensors through the AMS Suite:
Intelligent Device Manager. ▪ 1000 VDC/RMS electrical isolation between field
and logic circuitry
HART (highway addressable remote transducer) ▪ Electronic ID information stored on logic board
is a digital communication protocol designed for EEPROM (electrically erasable programmable
industrial process measurement applications. read-only memory)
HART equipped field measurement devices
(transmitters and valves, etc.) interface with
Ovation through a low-level frequency shift keyed
sine wave signal that is superimposed on the
standard analog 4 - 20 mA process measurement
current loop.
