IN PLANT TRAINING PROGRAM
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
NARRATIVE EXPERIENCE

7
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Through this on-the-job training, we learned a lot. For example, when we first started
working, we cleaned the automotive shop because no one else could clean due to the
pandemic. Then, in order to put the engine back together and make it work, we started
doing that the following day. Our CPM adviser, Mr. Vincente Emata, showed us how to
make our job clean and the safety protocol before we start our job in order to prevent
accidents, so while we were doing our job, we encountered many different things.
NARRATIVE EXPERIENCE
Since I began my on-the-job training, it was also my first day back at school. The
automotive laboratory was left dirty and unclean, and because the students weren't
permitted to attend class, the pandemic caused some of the engines to rust. The following
days we engage in a variety of practical exercises where we must improve because we
forget some of the manual labor and the information from the online sessions was
insufficient. We undertake a lot of assembly work as well as overhaul work on the Kia
R2 Engine 8 valves and for the Automotive Teacher so they can show their pupils how an
engine is actually set up. I learned a lot throughout my 480 hours of on-the-job training
thanks to my tutor who carefully monitored me and my fellow practicumer. Since this is
the start of our adventure after college, they valued their pupils who were eager to learn
and increase their knowledge. We use what we learn in school to our future endeavors
and pass on our expertise to the younger generation.

CHAPTER 4
PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES WITH CAPTION
First day of my On-the-Job Training, we clean the automotive shop because it has
so many dusts and dirt to be cleaned due to the pandemic.
We disassemble the engine parts of the KIA R2 vehicle of Engr. Filomeno S.
Lupiba so that we can overhaul and also to clean his vehicle engine and parts.
We also disassemble the transmission of his vehicle and clean it.
9
We replaced the old cylinder head and clean the other parts of the engine.
After we overhaul engine, we assemble the engine parts thoroughly to make sure
that all parts are installed.
We attached the engine, transmission and other engine parts to the vehicle and
finalizing it.
