COURSE: ENGG 403 – Computer Aided Design

Activity: Final Project

Description: With an open mind, create and plan a three-storey commercial building. Also, each group
should create a 3D logo that will represent their group. Apply everything you’ve learned in ENGG 403 –
Computer Aided Design.

Required Output:

1. Floor Plan
2. Elevation Plan (Front and Rear, Left and Right)
3. Logo in 3D

Rules:

1. It should be a three-storey commercial building with a maximum lot area of 300 sq.m.
2. Floor Plan and Elevation View should be in separate paper.
3. Paper size to be used should be in ISO Full bleed A3 (420.00 x 297.00 MM) and drawing frame
should follow the following (should only be seen in LAYOUT TAB):
TEXT = 2.5 units
MARGIN = 10.0 units
TITLE BLOCK = 10.0 units

4. Layer the objects properly according to their category Ex. Doors, Windows, Columns, Beams,
Dimensions, Texts.
5. Dimensions should have circle arrowheads, texts should be centered, and precision should be
0.00.

7. Maximize the whole drawing area of the drawing frame.


8. Poster should include the title of your project, full description of your design and your group’s logo,
and should fill the whole A3 size paper(portrait).
9. Plot each floor plan and elevation plan in a PDF using ISO Full bleed A3.
Final Submission:

• After plotting all floor plans and elevation plans, please combine all PDF into a single file only. Use
the poster as your front page.
• Upload the dwg file (1) and pdf file (1) of your design in the given link.
• Only one group member will upload the output while the other group member is still required to
turn-in in the google classroom.
Note: No need to add a private comment, a deduction will be given if not followed.

Project Criteria:

Punctuality: 5%
Description: 10%
Originality: 10%
Overall Presentation: 25%
Application of the discussions and rules: 50%

Deadline: December 10, 2023 (11:59PM)


NOTE: Late Submission will not be accepted and will be marked as FAILED.
