Celebrating
12 Years
Pacific Link College (PLC) has been innovating the education landscape in Canada
by building programs and partnerships that lead students to the careers of which they
dream. Our success in post secondary education has made us one of the fastest-grow-
ing institutions in Canada. Our specialty is international students and markets, with
dedicated teams that work in each one.

MISSION, PHILOSOPHY AND VALUES

PLC has always emphasized providing quality, innovative, practical education. These factors are key in helping students
succeed in their goals: most notably in getting employment. PLC has done all this via a strong focus on student services
and assistance, as well as learning strategies that combine teaching by industry leaders, guest lectures and industry visits.

Co-op placement in the industry also plays a key role in student success; hence PLC has a dedicated co-op department to
guarantee placement. PLC also has direct contract with multiple organisations in BC and across Canada for student co-op
placement. Starting with the launch of its career programs in 2017, PLC also emphasized the importance of diversity in
students, faculty and staff.

HISTORY
Established in 2010, PLC began by focusing on language instruction, which to this day is offered to international students.
After opening its first career-centred campus in Guildford, Surrey, British Columbia in 2017, PLC quickly opened its second
campus in neighbouring Burnaby in 2018. 2019 saw the expansion of PLC’s offices from South Asia and Korea to all across
Africa and Asia, as well as Latin America.

Although 2020 saw the world being hit with the COVID-19 pandemic, PLC was able to start its first articulation, with Trinity
Western University. This followed soon with another pathway with Vancouver Community College.

2022 onwards for PLC was a year of further expansion, with the realisation of students coming from many new countries for
the first time, such as Thailand and Peru. It also saw the opening of more focused PLC offices in Africa, particularly Nigeria.

PARTNERSHIPS
PLC works with multiple academic partners in Canada and worldwide. In Canada, PLC works with various language schools
and cultural institutions, as well as post secondary institutions.

We were the first to have a limited-term partnership with the Centre for Digital Media in Vancouver in which PLC students
got to experience prototyping digital strategies as part of a creative exchange. PLC also has multiple institutional partners
across the globe, as well as offices in a number of key strategic regions.

FUTURE PLANS AND VISION

PLC’s strategic initiatives are to grow its brand both nationally and globally while attracting a truly diverse body of students
that reflect the future of Canada. In order to carry out these initiatives, we are adding a new campus in Montreal, Quebec.
This move allows for an increased presence for PLC into central Canada, and also connects Anglophone and Francophone
regions, thereby reflecting the unique cultural fabric of Canada.

With the ability to provide its classes completely online, PLC is opening up an administrative office in Toronto. This move
will similarly connect central and western Canada, and also bring our presence to the most populated region of the country.
PLC will also be growing its programs to accommodate human resource demands in Canada, including those in trades,
accounting and social work.

Our long-term vision is to develop a full independent campus that can service up to 5,000 students by 2030.
C
Canada has become one of the biggest study destinations in the world be-
cause of its natural beauty, study-work-life balance and quality of living. It is
also a great destination to seek future work opportunities. British Columbia

N
(BC) hosts the mildest climate in Canada and some of the best wildlife parks.
These parks are part of what makes Vancouver and the Lower Mainland of
BC the tourism leader of Canada. Tourism is not just about nature in BC - the
province hosts a multitude of international conferences, cruise ship stops
and cultural tourism such as Aboriginal cultural centres and Chinatown tours.
The Metro Vancouver region is also the technology centre for Canada, host-
ing global brands such as EA Games.

STUDENT SUCCESS
A major factor to PLC’s continued success in so many countries is its dedication to student success. Whether via the co-
op programs or partner pathways, PLC student success is through the roof. We boast a 90% graduate employment rate
post-program and a 99.7% co-op placement rate by using our proactive and personal approach. Check out PLC’s student
testimonial videos (includes videos from students from India, Vietnam, Philippines, Lebanon, Korea, Senegal and UAE).

For students that want a bachelor or master or second diploma, we have our pathway partners that play an essential role in
giving students a variety of roads to success.

THINK LOCALLY WHILE ACTING GLOBALLY

PLC has a reputation as a globally-active college. However, we work and confer with people and organisations across BC
and Canada.

As well as working with BC’s Ministry of Grants on providing programs to domestic students, PLC also works with a host of
local partners such as Surrey and Burnaby Boards of Trade and the BC India Business Association.
