FANUC Batteries Conforming To Directive 2006-66-EC (TSR2008 - 175E)

1. Directive 2006/66/EC requires batteries placed on the market in the EU to be marked with a crossed-out dustbin symbol to promote recycling. This directive takes effect September 26, 2008. 2. Batteries supplied by FANUC that do not already have the symbol must have labels added with the crossed-out dustbin mark. 3. The directive applies to batteries in products manufactured on or after September 1, 2008 with CNC serial numbers E089***** or higher. Existing battery stocks may require labels to comply.

1. Summary

conform to this directive, it is necessary to indicate the crossed-out dustbin mark (Note) on
the batteries placed on the market in EU to promote recycle.

In case there is no crossed-out dustbin mark for DIRECTIVE 2006/66/EC on the battery, paste the label on
the battery.

The designation and the label placement of the usually used batteries are shown as follows. Please
inquire for the other batteries (for old model, etc.).

Supplementation of the request


Directive 2006/66/EC for batteries is enforced from September 26,2008.
It is necessary to indicate the crossed-out dustbin mark on the batteries that FANUC supplies,
because the batteries are conforming to this direction. (But the batteries used excluding the
European Union is off the subject.)
Please paste the label on the battery in your stock in case that there is not the indication.
The crossed-out dustbin mark is indicated on the batteries equipped into the products which are
manufactured from September 1st, 2008. (CNC serial No.E089***** or newer)
