3-9 Ornament Order (Letters A-Z, Numbers 1-20)
Students will fill in the ornaments with the letters or numbers that are
missing.
10 Decorate the Tree
Give each student a red and green paint dot- (cotton ball on a clothes
pin), so they can dab ornaments on their tree.
11 Finish the Drawing: Gingerbread Man
Students will complete the drawing by finishing out the other half of the
gingerbread man.
12-16 Nativity Craft/Ornament
• Three options are provided.
• Use the shapes to build a stable for baby Jesus.
• Cut out Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. Build a stable with popsicle
sticks. Fill the back of the stable with squares of tissue paper in
different colors. (Clear contact paper can be cut in shape of stable
to hold tissue paper.) Add a string to hang it.
• Cut out the baby Jesus and let them glue yellow yarn or paper under
him and add two popsicle sticks criss-cross to make a manger. Add a
string to make an ornament.
17-18 Draw a Line to Match
One activity is counting and the other is size.
19-22 Nativity Puppets
Students will cut out the puppets to learn and retell the Nativity story of
Christmas. (Two options, one with a separate stable)
23 Jesus Gift
Cut out and fold on solid line so it is a gift that opens up to Jesus inside.
Decorate the outside like a present with the bow on top.
23-25 Christmas Name Practice
Students will write each letter of their name on a shape to build either a
tree or a snowman.
26-27 Christmas Position Words Guided Drawing
Students will listen for position words for each item to draw around the
gingerbread house.
28-30 Catch the Star of Bethlehem! Scavenger Hunt
Hide the stars around your building and write a hint for the next star
location. The end star will bring students to the true gift of Christmas! I
like to make a special treat or gift that represents Jesus’ love to the kids.
I used Jesus Loves Me bracelets and stickers.
