Jean Paul Gaultier launches its new fragrance Ultra Male in summer
2015. The fragrance is a reinterpretation or enhanced version of the
popular original Le Male from 1995. Ultra Male, announced as
masculine, intense, seductive and at the same time delicate, is
supposedly built on contrasts notes and is a spicier version of the
original.

It opens with citrus notes of bergamot, along with juicy pear, black
lavender and mint. The heart includes spices of cumin and cinnamon,
with aromatic clary sage. The base consists of black vanilla, amber and
woods. It is signed by Francis Kurkdjian.

The face of the advertising campaign is model Jarrod Scott. The

fragrance arrives in a characteristic torso bottle, this time colored in
dark blue with black stripes. It is available as 40, 75 and 125 ml Eau de
Toilette Intense.

Was curious why Jeremy hyped this one up

so much now i got it and now i get it . Its just
so seductive , its a beast mode fragrance
when you first smell it and then in the same
moment you smell another fragrance they
seem so weak comparing to ultramale. it just
has strong smell and you can tell that its long
lasting. Also projects alot you can smell it all
the time around you, sweet pear mixed with
mint and lavender with the LE MALE DNA, i
dont get alot of citrus. I wish i could wear this
during a summer day or spring but i feel like it
will be too strong and cloying, but you can
wear it in summer nights n sunsets ..

My favourite scent to date

I love the pear in the opening along with the

sweet bubblegum vanilla. This thing is a
beast performer aswell, I’ll be wake up after a
night out and will still catch strong whiffs of it
after 12+ hours.

Projection is crazy, so be careful with sprays.

I’ve smelt this on people and go sprayed to
much and it can become very cloying, very
quickly.

Definitely for a night out

This is my boyfriend's signature scent and I

LOVE it. Super fresh and sweet. Not the
generic men's fragrance either but still super
sexy. Every time he spray's a lot on he gets
compliments and not just a "hey you smell
good" but men will literally stop him to ask
exactly what he's wearing even down to how
many sprays he used lol

Fun sweet bubble gum fragrance that

Jeremey has hyped up for a reason. 2018
Plus batches are much weaker keep that in
mind if you have tried the original 2015
Formula.

In my opinion, this is the best JPG fragrance

to date. (yes even better than the new Elixir)
It's sweet, it's fruity, it's spicy, it's masculine,
it's sexy, it's strong. When I put this on, I
almost hear it whispering "And let the
compliments roll in" I have never in my life,
met someone who didn't enjoy this. Males,
Females, Attack Helicopters. If you don't like
this, stop lying to yourself and start spraying.
It's not too overused, so you definitely won't
smell too generic. I feel like the silage, could
be a bit better, but that's a minor detail.
Overall this is a great winter / fall / summer
nights fragrance. If you wanna turn heads
spray 10, if you want it to be subtle but sexy,
3-4 will do. This does not come close to the
versatility of the "OG" le male, but it is much
better for winter and fall.

Honestly, who can’t love this stuff. It’s sweet,

fruity, and not overly masculine. But for some
reason the female gender has like an affinity
towards this stuff. I think it’s perfectly unisex,
but it’s just so playful. Between this and Eros,
I would take this over Eros 10 times out of 10
because Eros is super strong and repulsive to
me because I’m a strong mint and vanilla fan.
But this has that, and some to make it much
better. But the main argument is this, or le
parfum? Honestly I had le parfum and
decided to buy this instead of rebuying it due
to the hype and I wanted to own this after I
finished my bottle of Eros. But I still like le
parfum better because I’m an iris fiend, but
they are also 2 entirely different fragrances.
Ultra male is that super sweet pear, vanilla,
and cinnamon. Le parfum is a strong
cardamom, iris, lavender, vanilla, and spiced
up sex bomb. If you want something more
seductive go with le parfum, but if you want
something more universal and sweet go with
ultra male. But in the end it comes down to
which one you like more, try them both out if
you can and decide which one you like more.
But for some reason Ultra Male is obscenely
hard to find by me, as Macys doesn’t have it
and Dillard’s only had 3 bottles left when I
bought mine. But get your nose on both and
decide, if you want to blind buy you can’t go
wrong with either. Hell, buy both of them
because they don’t smell similar at all.

i smelled it for the first time yesterday in

poland in a store called notino and they had
4.2 oz (125ml) for 322 zł (about $80) absolute
masterpiece. left the store and walked
around the mall for like 15 minutes but then i
instantly went back and bought it (2 left). i
cant smell any bubble gum like people say
but it smells like fruity pear but then gets
more woody and vanilla-y. great performace
too

Its very sweet, but not so overpowering. A

hint of spice and a very sexy pear and vanilla
added to it. I would recommend this for any
situation (eg. clubbing, work, school, date
nights)

Don't know why people say that this doesn't

perform well... got Batch 13421 (2021-12-08)
and this shit is beastly. This lasts 12+ hours
on skin with great projection and sticks to my
clothes for weeks. It's almost too much...

Honestly, I wish people would stop blind

buying fragrances purely for hype's sake. It's
like every review I read, there's SOMEONE
who blind buys it just because it got a lot of
talk. I always tell people at least try it if you
can before getting it. But we just keep
rushing out and snatching up bottles only to
not like it and then come on here and say
"save your money and buy something
better", and whatever else.

And I know I'm probably going sound a little

hypocritical here, but I blind bought this
because of the hype it got. As a matter of
fact, I've blind bought every single fragrance
in my collection. Unless you are someone
who blind buys almost every single fragrance
in your collection, (like me), then go for it. It's
your money. But please, if you can, try it first.
Then make your decision.

Maybe I was late to party, but my experience

with this fragrance has not been good. It's an
overly sweet mess. Very linear, and longevity
is slightly above average on skin, projects
pretty well, and last longs on clothes. All I get
from this is pear, lavender, caraway, and
vanilla. I've got a decent collection, but nice
grabbed this for all the hype, and the notes
seemed somewhat unique. I can't remember
a single time that I've been about to go out
somewhere and thought "I should throw this
on". I'm am very thoroughly underwhelmed.
The only thing that has going for it in my
opinion is that it's versatile. Definitely doesn't
just have to be a club in fragrance as most
people claim it to be. I'm honestly just
starting to realize as well that I'm not very
much into sweet fragrances.

If Halloween and fall itself could be bottled

into a fragrance and mass manufactured, it
would smell just like this beauty. This is a
delectable vanilla and cinnamon ice cream
with a juicy pear right on top: it’s sweet,
scrumptious, gourmand, playful, and sexy.

In the opening you’re hit with the pear and

fruity notes intermingling to create a
bubblegum accord that lasts a good while. In
the mid to dry down is where the sweet
“dessert” aspect to this really shines and I
can’t get enough of it. It evokes playful date
nights out during October where the air is
brisk and flirtation is to be had; this is the
special love of your life, that luscious muse
that you’d fall head over heels for and have
always longed for. The projection and
longevity are monstrous, easily lasting for
over eight hours. The sillage is a thing of
permanence and persistence. Easily unisex
and quite androgynous.

If you can’t tell, this is my personal favorite

fragrance that I’ve smelled thus far, and one
of my favorites in my collection.

Thought I would enjoy it from the listed notes,

but I find it too sweet. Sickly sweet. Glad I
bought a 1ml decant to sample it first before I
pulled the trigger on a discounted 75ml

Ultra Male by Jean Paul Gaultier is a fruity,

spicy, and amber fragrance.

The opening is very fruity, with a smell of

tropical fruit, something between pear and
pineapple, with some green tones of
synthetic mint. It seems that the fragrance
could be fresh after that start, but in reality it
becomes more and more spicy, vanilla and a
warm amber begin to be perceived. After
almost an hour there is a base similar to
classic Le Male, with lavender and vanilla but
also keeping the amber.

Ultra Male is a fragrance that has gained a

reputation for being ideal for parties, nights
out, etc., but it can also be used on dates,
because it is a fragrance that is very well
received by the female sex. It could also be
used in relaxed work environments, mainly in
cool or cold climates.

Its longevity with me was 8 hours.

In my opinion, the KING of beastmode

designer fragrances. Unreal longevity (12+
hours). Huge projection. Addictive sweetness
that is prefect for the club, bar, or any lively
social gathering. This stuff is timeless. It
takes the already great le male dna and turns
it into something that sweet fragrance lovers
will go nuts for. As someone who enjoys
sweet scents, this is my favorite designer
clubbing scent hands down, and I doubt
there will ever be another fragrance that I
wear for nights out more often than this.

JPG Ultra Male in 2023.

There is no denying the influence this has in

the fragrance world. For one, JPG releases
never go unnoticed, their marketing is unreal
and different from everyone else.

Next, I consider JPG to have 5 standout

fragrances (Le Male, Le Male Le Parfum,
Ultra Male, Le Beau Le Parfum, scandal) and
they all work in their own category to the
highest degree. Oh you want to smell sexy
and obnoxious in the club? Get Ultra Male.
Luxury date night? Get Le Male Le Parfum.
Part-time mermaid? Get Le Beau le Parfum.

With that, Ultra Male is still held to a high

standard where it deserves to be. If you want
your signature scent to be sweet and loud
then look no further. It is a blast of cinnamon,
pear, vanilla, all mixed together to give off a
sensual bubblegum vibe. When you wear
this, you can close your eyes and almost
imagine yourself at a club in Europe by the
water, or at a bar with music louder than it's
projection.

Ultra Male is fantastic at not only being a

signature sweet fragrance, but also a good
introduction to the sweet category. Yeah, it's
loud and headache-inducing to some, but to
me, it's smooth for its category and a good
start to helping you decide if you enjoy this
vibe.

I talk to people at my gym who found out

about my collection and they often ask about
Ultra Male because they hear about how sexy
it is. And it's true.

You may find it strange, but I find this really

gourmand-y, i feel like it smells like cinnamon
rolls in the air. I get too much cinnamon from
this but i'm not complaining, this might be
the best thing i've ever smelled, the scent is
so addicting.
The performance is really solid for me, would
not call this a beast mode of a fragrance, but
it gets the job done with a bit over 12hrs
longevity on skin and like 3hrs of solid
projection, and it's a really good compliment
getter. 100% worth buying

If you look at the first reviews posted when

this came out in June of 2015. You’ll see
reviews saying this is a great summer
fragrance. Some even say the performance
was terrible. 1hr of projection and then a 4-5
hr skin scent. Some say it’s a beast. So
whenever someone praises the BPI over the
Puig they are full of shit. If you look at the first
reviews of any fragrance you’ll see the same.
Yet somehow once a fragrance house gets
sold to a new distributor or its discontinued
people praise the fragrance especially the so
called original formula. Another one is how
it’s only for cold weather and you’d be crazy
to wear in the summer. So why even sell
most fragrances in South Florida? 1 million
for instance is probably the most used
fragrance in the hot humid climate of Miami.
My point is that All YouTube content creators
and most reviews on here are full of shit.

Wear what you want when you want.

Back when I owned 0 fragrances and knew

nothing about them, sometimes my girlfriend
and I would go sniff everything at Macy's just
for fun. I knew all the big brands and
fragrances from the commercials, like Dior
Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel, Invictus, Eros etc...
Every time I did my rounds and smelled
everything, I always came back to JPG as my
favorite. I didn't know much about designer
fashion and had never even heard of Jean
Paul Gaultier. I thought hmm, some no name
brand, some funny looking bottle, why do I
like this more than Gucci, Dior, Chanel,
Armani, Prada? The Le Male DNA was always
my favorite, and obviously from no outside
influences like brand recognition or hype.
Ultra Male was always my favorite. So I've
always had a knack for sweet fragrances. I
wear fragrances for myself and I like smelling
sweet accords, they're enjoyable and give
fragrances more character.

This is, or was, a unique one before it

became so popular and cloned. Pear is not a
note often used in male perfumery. It's
typically used in women's fragrances. It
shares the Le Male DNA with the vanilla,
cinnamon, lavender, mint, amber and woods,
but the main difference is the strong pear
note in Ultra Male. This is why it's often
considered unisex, which I believe it to be.
That's fine with me, because I seem to like
unisex fragrances. Like I said, I wear
fragrances for myself. Women's fragrances
are designed for men to enjoy them, and
unisex fragrances have a tendency to
incorporate elements of both men's and
women's perfumery, so it makes sense that
I'd enjoy smelling unisex fragrances on
myself. This is just an epiphany I had the
other day. Well I guess using this theory,
anyone would enjoy smelling unisex
fragrances on themselves for this reason. But
as you know, some men wear fragrances for
the sole purpose of compliments, trying to
attract women, and they just want the most
masculine, top rated "panty dropper" on
YouTube with no real concern about how they
personally think it smells.

Performance is very good on Ultra Male. It

lasts a full day with pretty strong projection
and sillage. It's pretty synthetic but that's
probably how it achieves such great
performance. A great fragrance no doubt.

Ultra Male is JPG LeMale turned up and

sweetened with honeydew melon. A brilliant
sweet opening bolstered by LeMale DNA,
longevity and projection is quite good. I
would've said a scent profile like this is suited
to warmer weather, however, the strength is
cloying with warmth so I would recommend
wearing in the evening and by day in cooler
climates.

I feel as though this was overhyped

somewhat. At the very least JPG hardliners
really talked it up and I was a little let down.
Maybe I'm just getting old. Safe blind buy for
any wearers fond of LeMale.

Too sweet and too little of a longevity factor.

But for the teenage to 30 crowd it will make
you stand out and extend a happy vibe. It
seems a little too restricted when it comes to
when to wear it. Winter club scene and office
parties?
Get a 40, 50 or 60 ml and you're golden.
Remember, just because you cannot smell it
anymore doesn't equate to you still smelling
like Willy Wonka's drunk uncle.

Winter, Fall Scent: 7/10. I'ts sweet, the

opening is sweet and it hits you hard. Some
lavendel rounding it off and definitely some
pear and cinnamon, but the vanilla is most
noticeable. But it's not the best vanilla I have
smelled, it almost gets a bit too sweet. In the
dry down it gets a bit warmer with a little
spicy touch cloud be from the ceder. For me
this is a night time scent, a party scent.
Playful, great for clubbing, this would not suit
the day time or everyday use as it would get
a bit too cloying I think. 3-4 sprays if you are
going out clubbing with a nice shirt. Silage:

The most enjoyable opening in a perfume for

me - to describe it to anyone who hasn't put
their nose to it before it reminds me of when
you open a bag of Haribo's. And in no way is
that an insult to the fragrance, it's incredibly
sweet and juicy. The perfume develops and
morphs into something more creamy and
spicy as time passes. This eclipses its
clubbing counterparts (Eros, 1 Million, ect.)
and is one of the best performing perfumes I
own - the ratio between quality and price is
insane.

Despite the decent amount of notes listed, all

I smell is pretty much a very juicy pear in
heavy syrup, vanilla, and a good amount of
woodiness. The prominent patchouli and
cedar help balance it out to not lean too fem.
Hard to hate and lasts for a long time.

This is that rare type of fragrance that's

transfixing, the kind that transport you when
you first smell them.

One of the best openings and colognes ever.

More modern and not cloyingly sweet like
Eros. Very comforting and plain smells really
really nice.

The pear and vanilla are a masterpiece in this

one. I'd say incredibly versatile all season all
occasion. Safe blind buy. I can honestly quit
this fragrance hobby now and not feel like I'd
be missing anything.

Ultra strong. Ultra sweet. Ultra better-than-

average for winter. Just don't wear this when

It's one of my all time favorite perfumes but

I'm really disappointed with the fact that it
doesn't even last that long on my skin. I get
maybe 4-6h of smell from 5 sprays. It might
be a problem with my bottle or maybe my
skin pH but I wish it would've lasted longer.

On the brighter side, the sillage is enormous,

people told me they could've smelled me
before seeing me.

Got this compliment: "You smell like the

sexiest person in the school right now" Is
there more that needs to be said? That
basically sums up this fragrance. Lasted 7-8
hours when I first got it back in December
2022, I don't know what changed but now its
a lot stronger and projects way better. I got
that complement 7 hours after applying 5
sprays. Longevity for me now is like 10 - 12
hours. Honestly probably longer if I didn't
shower. Maybe Don't wear this in the summer
heat, might be a little too powerful but it
could be worn summer nights, possibly.

Nuclear pear and vanilla. A bit linear but very,

VERY loud. It will definitely get noticed by
people with the amount of projection it has.
Not very versatile. I wouldn't wear this as a

Very nice sweet fragrance with strong vanilla

smell and herby notes. Lasts long and is
pungent. Is not extremely masculine but it's
more masculine than feminine. Great perfume

was surprised that i sorta liked it but its really

top heavy. wish it was more balanced out
when it dries. doesnt really develop.this is
tooth decay in a bottle. and i hate super
sweet scents. but the pear opening is
interesting, the vanilla n cinnamon blend well
together. it still manages to be oriental while
being extremely sweet and as a concept i like
that but again i wish it did a little more when
it dried down. like it lasts nicely and projects
monstrously. this stuff is not versatile at all.
quite unisex tbh. but again honestly not my
type of fragrance but for the purpose it
serves as smth loud, screechy, childish and
attention grabbing. not the worst out there
but boring. le parfum has that balance + lil
toned down sweetness get that instead

Absolutely love the smell. May be a little bit

Fruity, bubblegum scent, playful youthful and

fun. Smells nice and would work wonders in
parties. Performs great but not versatile,
maybe only for parties and special night outs
in cold weather. The only downside which
ruined it for me is that it is sickeningly sweet,
overly sweet that you can't smell most of the
notes and can give you headaches.

Strong with heavy projection and longevity.

I’ve never sprayed this more than thrice and I
would only wear this in cooler weather.

Pungent cotton candy with syrupy pear. As it

dries down the sweetness subsides a little to
reveal a traditional, clean men’s fragrance
that just stands in the background, cocktail in
hand, giving the fragrance a nod.

This fragrance, in my experience, is loved by

women. They are like bees to a flower with
this one. If a fragrance ever caused women to
want to eat you it would be this.

For that reason, I love this one.

An entire day on skin. This is no slouch.

Now this is a good flanker. It retains certain

minimal elements from the original but the
composition is definitely contemporary.
While Le Male was a bit much for certain
occasions, Le Male Ultra feels subtle and
more put together.
The pear in the top notes is glorious, followed
by the lavender, cinnamon, cedar and sage.
This is less sweet than the original, it plays
more with herbal notes.
Definitely a recommended fragrance.

Had to create and account to talk about this

one. I’ll start by saying this thing lasts
FOREVER. I sprayed it on me at 5:30 in the
morning and by 3 in the afternoon it was still
decently strong. I even had it on a tank top,
washed the tank top, and it’s still on there.
And I only sprayed it once!! Incredible

As for the smell, it’s very unique. I haven’t

quite smelled anything like it but it smells
almost exotic but in a good way. Very sweet
and elegant. The projection is just a banger,
like walking around with a boombox. You will
shake the room and if anyone around you is
wearing a fragrance this one is going to be
what we call “that loud pack”. would
definitely recommend this one

Another masterpiece, thank you Francis. It is

a very sweet, fruity and vanilla scent. It has
nothing to do with its name which is Ultra
Male, it has nothing to do with a super
masculine or serious perfume. It's a very
youthful and unisex fragrance for me, a
woman can wear it without any problem.
From the opening, it is a pineapple juice,
clearly. At first I thought I was crazy, but
without saying anything I had my friend try it
out and the first thing he said was, “It looks
like pineapple. » I don't think there is
pineapple, the mixture of all the top notes
must give this impression. The fragrance
evolves towards a sweet pear, sublimated by
a gourmet vanilla, it looks slightly like a pear
crumble or in any case a pear pastry. On
clothes it's an olfactory bomb, it easily lasts 1
week on my jackets without problem. It is
very synthetic with little evolution, so we
won't talk about heart or base notes, they are
all mixed from start to finish. if you manage to
find it around 70€/125ml, go for it, otherwise
opt for the “Le parfum” version which is more
serious and less juvenile. 11/10.

price makes for a must buy every time this
fragrance runs out.

The definition of a sweet, playful upbeat

fragrance. An absolute classic. Pear
bubblegum is the best way to describe this. It
smells so sweet on the opening and the dry
down reflects the pear fruity balance.

A very sweet and fruity scent targeting men.

It has the DNA of Le Male line and its
flankers, but this is the Gourmand, sweet and
conforting version. It's not too far from One
Million Elixir. I pick at first sniff pear, but more
testosterone frag pear. Nice to wear, versatile
and holds well; it's a good perfume I
recommend for anyone who wants a sweet
but not "feminine" or classic "men" fragrance
- whatever that means.... A perfume a bit off
the beaten track but not too off. A must-try!

I just spotted a 2012 First formula 125 ml

new with can Ultra Male X Batch on ebay at
the store under the handle
'guardianofthefragrances'.

So good! Brighter juicy pear, deeper spicier

tonka base than modern formula.

I'd get it myself but I have too many bottles

Great longevity and village. I love the black

vanilla husk on this one. Cannot smell the
lavender on this one though. Although
marketed for men, this can easily be a unisex
scent. Great all rounder for all occasion day
or night. Not too offensive and not too weak.
This will make you feel regal.

I initially got the 75 ml bottle. I gave away

some of it, thinking that it was mostly a
clubbing, vulgar fragrance. For some reason
in the last few weeks I haven't been able stop
spraying it on me and got the 200 ml, in spite
of how hard I tried not to.
It makes me feel fkn delicious! Come women,
I'm happy in my skin, I'm not gonna run after
you ;)

Opening of this is the closest I think to a

"bubblegum" scent for men. It smells very
fruity and sweet (and I don't think it smells
like "pears" without reading the notes, I got
something akin to a black raspberry the first
time). Then it drydowns to a very warm and
sweet scent (some people describe it as
"toffee" and I can see a resemblance). You
can also feel some hints of the original Le
Male here and there.
They really did something great with this.

This is my first JPG. I know may sound crazy

since I owned like all kind of perfumes
designer and niche but somehow I avoided
JPG. I was looking for something with good
projection and longevity and this one came
out. Was a blind buy in a way. I say in a way
because I smell it like few years ago. What
can I say. Is very sweet and pleasant, and I
love sweet fragrances but I'm not sure about
longevity and projection. I'm used to my
favorites from Xerjoff like Vardasina, Opera,
etc.. and this seems a little more less. Of
course I realize is a different price and
different segment but I was hoping for more
to be honest. I'm not sorry however. I love it.
As for compliments, nobody seems to notice
at the office. I think they are used with others
perfumes on me. I recommend it.

One thing I cannot stand when reading these

reviews is when people call a fragrance that
is marketed a certain gender and then calling
it "unisex". I see it a lot, like reviews here on
Ultra Male. Stop labeling frags as unisex
when it is SPECIFICALLY marketed towards
men or women. Unless it is advertised as
unisex, say Angels' Share, then fine.

Never came like this again

I'm quite happy for this to be called a "club
scent", but you can use it anytime, any day -
just use your sprays in moderation. It smells
very sweet (not in a nauseating way), but it's
hard to imagine that someone would be
bothered by it even in the office. Granted, I
wouldn't recommend bathing for work, but
even in an office 1-2 sprays can provide a
really pleasant and comfortable sillage. I see
this as a younger scent as it's sweet and fun,
but honestly I think anyone can pull it off. It's
simply amazing.

I both like and dislike Ultra Male because of

the ways it's pretty unique:
It's VERY sweet. Almost sickeningly-sweet,
and believe me when I say this is one of the
only fragrances I think could almost be "too
sweet". The notes come together to smell like
an ultra-sweet, creamy, pineapple candy, or a
Dole whip with pineapple.

You know that ever-pervasive smell of fried

[whatever] that follows you when you're at a
County/State Fair? ...Well this isn't that.
However, you know that fairground
sweetness --the scent of cotton candy, funnel
cakes, and Dole whips-- that runs parallel to
the smell of FRIED? This is that. It reminds
me of a trip to the fair on a hot day, and
you've been on all the rides, and you catch
that sweet-fruity hellscape scent that
would've pushed your stomach over the
edge, but thankfully you didn't eat anything
substantial earlier so you can just barely
stand it. And then you learn to enjoy it. And I
actually WAS enjoying this fragrance when I
tried it for a few days.

But it's also unique in that it's one of the only

fragrances that actively gives me a headache
any time I try it, and with only a couple sprays
at that. So I got rid of it. What a shame. It
was maybe an 8/10 otherwise.

Oh, and it's not masculine-leaning in the

slightest. There’s nothing in here that
significantly deepens it up in any “manly”
way. It’s thin, sweet, and unisex. Some of you
guys are fooling yourselves looking at a name
that’s trying way too hard.

blindly as a sweet and good-smelling men's
perfume at a time when sugary perfumes are
gradually decreasing and a bad image is
spoken among consumers. Its persistence
and propagation performance is quite good.

I find myself coming back to JPG Ultra Male

almost every day, as you may know, this is a
pretentious scent, you wanna wear this if you
want all eyes on you (good or bad), you
CANNOT wear this in a small packed room.

Wear this to the gym, wear this to the grocery

store, that pear bubblegum vibe it gives off
will project in your face all damn day.
9/10, must-have if you like sweet scents

Yes. This IS the sweet sexy alluring scent
you’ve read about. Vanilla, pear , bubblegum
type scent. Just magical sillage , especially in
colder weather. It still works in the heat
though.

Not a single woman I’ve dated disliked this

(Big W).
I may be biased because I got laid many
times wearing this , or perhaps it’s because I
always put it on as a *date* scent.

Oh and forget the clones, they cannot

emulate the magic in this. This isn’t that
expensive. Get the original.

I think this fragrance has been reformulated,

as now I don't get as much projection as I
used to. It still opens nicely with the gorgeous
pear and cinnamon combo that almost
reminds me of a pie, especially with the
vanilla that comes later on. It is still a great
clubbing fragrance that is somewhat unique. I
have to overspray in order to get more than a
meter though, so be prepared to if you're
going to a club or a party. Compliment wise I
have gotten quite a few from friends and
family, and even the girl I'm interested in.
Definitely try it out if you're looking for a
compliment beast for a party.

get me started on the bpi x batches because
those are still 99% the same as puig). i hate

minutes before I did. Packed with sweetness
that would make Willy Wonka jealous and
caused me to get a cavity by just opening the
box. For the young who like clubbing in the
fall/winter.

Only perfume I've had 3 bottles of, there will

surely be a fourth also, tells it all... I felt like
the latest bottle had changed a bit, maybe
reformulated. But now broken in after being
sprayed for some weeks it feels just the same
way as before. I need just one spray that I
share on my wrists and then rub on my chest
hair, a second spray would be to much or for
partying only... Don't take those youngster
and clubbing views too seriously. I'm 58,
having no issues wearing Ultra Male every
day at work under the coldest months. Funny
how fond I am of this fragrance considering it
contains clary sage and patchouli, 2 notes
that normally often turns me away from even
trying out something new. Ultra Male is so
well blended, nothing rough going on here.
One of few scents that smells even better
when I sniff it closely on my skin. Highly
recommended. The opening is challenging
with that massive sweetness, but then it
settles and the rest is pure, playfull,
minty/fruity bubblegum goodness.

JP Gaultier is always nice in terms of

performance. So you won't be disappointed.
For me, I've worn it a lot, but i catch myself
wearing Wanted by Night more nowadays
whenever i go out. None the less still a killer

Decent Performance. Didn't love it at first but

the more I wore it and the more time I spent
with it the more I started to understand the
hype. Its very sweet but in not overly sweet
and smells unique which I think is the pear
note. It is a compliment beast and the ladies
love it. I don't think this is a "clubbing"
fragrance like everyone says, you can
honestly wear it anywhere any time maybe
except for warm summer days but even then
if your dont over spray it is more than
appropriate. It is young, playful and sweet. I
think you can get 200ml for under 130
dollars, for that price tag it is 100% worth it.

I love this fragrance, but I really dont get the

hype around the performance of Ultra Male..
Its not especially long lasting, and the sillage
is no more than moderate. Related to
performance this has about the same rating
as Spicebomb Extreme, but that fragrance
runs circles around Ultra Male performance
wise.. I tried this side by side with Gentleman
Eau de Parfum Reserve Privée and that has
WAAAAAAY more sillage than Ultra Male.

A fruity ambery aromatic fragrance. This isn’t

smelled often and therefore it seems slightly
niche. This scent has such a great opening
with the juicy pear and fresh mint. Once the
fragrance drys down, you get this deeply
sweet vanilla that has a calming effect. It
lasts almost more than 4 days on clothes and
10 hours on skin! It is honestly a powerhouse
no matter what year or formulation. You can
wear this out with a S/O, to party, around the
house, but I usually wouldn’t recommend it
for school. (Unless school is a party, which I
guess it is.)

As i got into 9th grade, this was my first

"high-end" scent. A fruity, inviting, joyous yet
sexy scent for younger guys looking to turn
heads. A great performer when it comes to
getting compliments, especially with younger
crowds. Seems to go hand-in-hand with
clubbing. For you nordic fragheads out there
like me, this is PERFECT for our winters,
sticks out like a sore thumb in an alluring kind
of way..
No more than 3 sprays gets you through the
day and the scent sticks to clothes for
extended periods of time, giving it that
eternal feel. As ive grown older and out of the
fruity fresh stuff this seems like it can give me
a headache nowadays, still a great scent
nonetheless. Cinnamon seems to be a
reccurring theme with JPG scents.

Great longevity, great sillage, great value.

Pear, cinnamon, and woody notes pop out

the most! Jeremy was right when he said it's
a clubbing fragrance. It radiates and lasts on
clothes for 12 hours. Great at highly
populated areas and is mass appealing.
Would not wear it to the office or on an
airplane ride since it might be too offensive.
9/10 and way better than the original Le
Male.

I like the Jean Paul Gaultier style. I like the

oval metal box with the red velvety stand
inside and i like the distinguishing bottle
design. It feels good when you hold it and
also when you look at it. The only think i hate
is that when i spray it a little bit of drops gets
on the chest of the bottle and i must clean it
every time when i use it or just leave it with
the stains. However i love the unique bottle
designs. The longevity will not disappoint, it
is more than 10 hours and projecting loudly
even after the 6th hour.
I'm not really sure if i like this more or the og
Eros. Ultra male smells more modern, but i
can't decide between the two.
JPG smells mostly like sweet pear in the
opening and with time the pear fades and
you left with sweet complex vanilla with a pint
of the other ingredients. Lastly the price is
incredible for a designer fragrance
considering you get extra 25ml because the
bottle is 125ml.

A great compliment pulling parfum which is

excellent for a night out. If you want to wear
this more regularly however, i recommend
mixing one spray of this with one spray of
Viktor & Rolf's Spicebomb EDT.

Personally one of my favorite fragrances ever

created. JPG did an amazing job with this
one. My favorite Le Male flanker, alongside
the original Le Male. Some people say it’s
reformulated which is maybe true. I don’t get
the performance as Jeremy hyped it, but
nevertheless 8+ hours and a beastly
projection in the first 2-3 hours. After that it
sits closer to the skin. Excellent youthful

Ultra Male by Jean Paul Gaultier is a

fragrance that I have been wearing for the

this is my cousins favourite scent. as for me,

im not a fan of sweet stuff as it is but this
scent profile is sweeter than sweet. it opens
with pear sweetness and goes on for a really
long time with vanilla sweetness. its a sweet
powerhouse for sure.

So this is supposed to be a reinterpretation

or enhanced version of Le Male which was
released in 1995. When I originally tried this, I
was trying to imagine a men's cologne from
the mid-90s, but it smelled more like
something from the mid 1980s. It was the
fruitiness muted by the vanilla. However, after
having fallen in love with Le Male Le Parfum, I
can see this one as more of a modern
masterpiece. It's not overly sweet, yet it's still
youthful and playful while remaining
conservative enough. It's like a mature man
having fun. I like it and it's different enough
from Le Parfum to warrant buying a bottle.

This fragrance is very sweet and smooth

throughout the whole ride. When you first
spray it on you get some sort of pineapple
like smell. Then it settles to the pear and
cinnamon. Around 45 minutes later the vanilla
kicks in and you have this smooth not
screechy combo of pear powderyness and
smooth vanilla with some spicy touches. It
does smell quite like bubblegum like people
say. Almost a nutty smell like 1 million. This
doesn’t resemble 1 million that much
however. Performance is great. Lasts maybe
9 or 10 hours on my skin and projects heavily
for maybe 6-7 hours. 2 sprays is enough for
maybe casual wear but for anything else 3
sprays max. This honestly is a very solid
release form JPG and it stands out in the
designer world.

This is maybe by far, my most favorite Le

Male from my collection.
At first trial, I am questioning but now I
whole-heartedly love.

My version seems to have new intensity, less

sweet, less coiling.
It is no longer the "BEAST MODE" fragrance
but in this manner, it really like it more.

I cannot wear LeMale original, their is some

inside made it unweable for me.
While, UltraMale give strong homage to
original LeMale with a twist that's really work
well with my skin chemisty.

When apply, it give a nice blast of something

fresh and crisp and juicy.
along with Fresh icey citrus and that give
really fresh opening.

Further develope to middle at 1 hours mark,

this is star.
This give something a bit Modernize hair
promade, shaving cream.
a bit slick, a bit oily, a bit sweet. I like it so
much.

When it start to dry down at 4 hours mark.

it's still project good.
and start giving nice dose of mildly sweet
vanilla with dry cedar and ambery sweetness.

I might be wried but I feel this version gives

sort-of semi barbershop vibe.
not strongly but present in line with clean
vanilla-woody base.

When I wear, I feel intoxicatingly handsome.

Sexy hunter sort of way.
but also groom and poilte. I wouldn't mind
wear this all year round even in the office.

Trust me, you have to try.

This is smell so handsome.

LeMale UltraMale have many manufactor and

rendition over time.
from my search, I think their are rendition as
below.

* BPI manufactor version (made in France)

around 2015 - 2018(?) believes to be
Strongest and Sweetest.

* PUIG manufactor version (made in France,

found in 125 ml. bottles) around 2018-2020 is
less sweet but strong candidate, in line with
BPI version.

* PUIG manufactor version (made in France,

found in 125 ml. bottles) post 2021 are much
less sweet, I notice JPG website also reduce
the intensity so I believe this is tamed to level
that can be anywhere / all-year round.

* PUIG manufactor version (made in Spain,

found in 40ml. / 200 ml. bottles) believes to
be the less potent version of all.

I do not own any of these apart PUIG, made

in Fance 2022.
But so far I do really like mine version alot.
maybe I will take a look a deeper year and
give another back-up bottle.

I get a chance to buy this back up bottle from

BPI one.
And I am here to say that scent profile is
totally difference.

The top note in BPI almost come-across very

fruity (strawberry / raspberry kind-of).
Before it develop into the middle which
provide sort-of barbershop muskiness but
10x time more strong. When dry down it is
about the same.

However, I feel BPI is a bit too much for my

liking.
It very strong and quite hard to use in Daily
life.

I highly suggest you go with the newer batch.

Which has versatility to wear all year round.

Great bubble gun scent made unique with the

pear. Great performance enough to for the
whole house to start smelling like it with 6
sprays and last a good 5-6 hours. I own a
2019 bottle and a 2022 bottle and I wouldn’t
say the performance has been noticeable
changed maybe a slight bit but a sweet
fragrance like this is also very easy to go
nose blind to. Some say it’s a skin scent
some say it a beast performer guess it up to
your skin chemistry but I’m in the beast mode
boat

Rant time
This fragrance is not discontinued they
simply made a slight reformulation and
started calling it ultra male intense. Any
fragrance that you can easily get at a
department store and is always listed in stock
on the manufacturer website is not
discontinued. For example a fragrance that
actually was recently discontinued (Acqua di
gio profumo/Code absolu) is no longer in
stock on macy website and getting rare even
on discounters. I don’t care what your email
to insert brand rep said they are literally one
step up from a chat bot they have no clue
what’s going on their job is to just sell you on
whatever new flanker they just came out with.
They probably just look at what In stock on
the website currently and if it so happens to
be out of stock at the moment because of
popular demand or they’re making new
batches they just say it’s discontinued.
Especially this fragrance since its super
popular and has been rumored as
“discontinued” since 2020. Use common
your sense and stop spreading
misinformation

WHY DID THEY DICONTINUE THIS HOT

STUFF? WHY??
This scent is not just for clubbing as people
tend to say, at least in my opinion. It is very
sexy, sensual and outgoing tho, so only wear
it when you want that kind of attention from
people. But of course you can wear it all
season, day and night, and even to work if
you apply a bit carefully. It smells really
pleasing then, and as the new formilations
are not overwhelming (but still strong) in
projection, people will notice you,- but in a
good way!
Of course its even better for dates or meeting
people, as it has this very sensual and
alluring vibe to it.

What I find funny is, that earlier, before I really

got into frags, I just thought it was sickingly
sweet and way too cloying. When I heard
how good people find it to be, I gave it
another try and suddenly realized how sexy it
gets in the drydown.

Give Ultra Male a chance if you like sexy,

sweet, alluring designer scents as much as I
do, and do it quick if you do so, as this is
now officially discontinued.

I purchased this about 2 weeks ago and I

absolutely love the smell. I only have one
problem and that is I don't think that it lasts
very long. On my skin, it lasts for about an
hour and when I spray it on my clothes I get a
couple of hours but you can only smell it
when you are putting your face right where it
was sprayed. I've seen other reviews where
people say that it lasts a long time but I don't
get that with mine. I know that it is not fake
as I bought it from Macy's. Am I just going

This got to be one of my favorite scents well

let's just say I do get decent compliments
from relatives and friends with this perfume,
to me the projection isn't strong as some
people experienced well let's just say same
thing with every new batch so you wanna
lower your expectations a bit I find it above
average but clearly not a beast. Longevity is
definitely great.

I own a batch from mid-2019 and it's beast

mode in the best way.
Looking at some of the more recent reviews
below complaining about the performance
leads me to believe there have been
reformulations. Unfortunate because this
fragrance smells incredible and always had
beast mode performance before now.
Literally 4 sprays would last for 24+ hours
and project heavily for 6-8 hours before
settling down.
I might use mine less because if I run out, I
don't want to buy a newer batch that doesn't
perform as well.

Solid fragrance. I got the 2019 batch, the

performance is very strong, with 20h
longevity, and projects a lot for the first 5-6h.
After that, it is still projecting very nicely. The
initial extreme sweetness goes away after 30
mins and leaves a nice moderately sweet and
woody note. Does anyone else get the woody
note in the dry down? Haven't noticed it in
the comments. 10/10 for me.

Ultra Male in 2023.

After some time wearing this, I can totally see

both perspectives on this fragrance.

Sometimes if you’re high on life and feeling

pretentious and want to grab attention, go
ahead and overspray yourself with this one. It
is incredibly sweet, and I mean SWEET.
Definitely stay away from this if that isn’t your
thing.
To me, that’s what makes it nice and unique.

However when I see the negative reviews,

they make sense to me. If I’m feeling a little
nauseous and spray this, it WILL give me a
really bad headache. Sometimes the
sweetness is just too damn much.
There is no middle here, you either love or
hate this one. Definitely try before you buy, if
you think it’s too sweet but that’s still your
thing, I would say try out 1 Million Parfum
instead.

8/10 for me, the OG is still my favourite.

Delicious perfume with lousy performance.

Fruity from the Pear, aromatic from the

Lavender and Clary Sage, spicy from the
Caraway and Cinnamon, and with a lovely
Vanilla envelope. Truly delicious!!!

Although marketed for men, this is a

completely unisex fragrance, suited for
almost any kind of weather, with the
exception of very hot days. Wearable daytime
or nighttime.

Unfortunately, it’s biggest drawback is

performance which is intimate from the start,
projection is non existent, and longevity is
just a few hours. Constant reapplying will be
required.

DEFINITELY A TRY BEFORE YOU BUY

PARFUM!!

In such famous fragrances you can’t really

trust reviews, there are a lot of fanboys, paid
reviewers, and even a few know-it-alls that’ll
tell you your applying it wrong, as if they
knew better… so don’t trust anybody, not
even me… if you are interested in this
fragrance (or any other for that matter) go to
the store and try it, or purchase a decant, but
definitely sample perfumes on yourself before
spending your money on them!! You’ll thank
me later!!

JPG Ultra Male is a head turning sweet date

night scent for anyone looking for
compliments. The opening is very sweet from
the pear and vanilla but not overwhelmingly
so, it's just right. As it dries down you get a
pit of freshness from the lavender that
balances everything out. This fragrance will
last forever, I get about 10+ hours on my skin.
You might be limited to what occasions you
can wear this but when the time is right, it's
perfect. Great for nights out, preferably in
colder fall and winter days.

I'm sorry but this one is awful... I read many

great reviews so I was excited. I love a good
sweet scent. I'm not sure what exactly I was
expecting but it was most definitely not this.
This fragrance is a powdery mess. It reminds
me of something my grandmother would
have worn in the 80's. It does dry down after
an hour or so into something more tolerable
but still not for me. Disappointed because I
like most JPG fragrances that I've smelled.
This one, however, is not one of them.

I started my fragrance journey as a lover of

sweet scents. As a result, I took to Ultramale
as expected.

This is an absolute gorgeous scent,

especially if you enjoy sweeter scents.

As stated by a previous reviewer, Afnan 9PM

is about an 85% to 95% clone with similar
performance. While on the topic of
performance, Ultramale lasts about 4 to 6
hours on my skin. Not the greatest but I still
do not regret this purchase. Projection on my
skin is beastly and it certainly is an attention
grabber.

Your defense of this perfume might be the

silliest I have ever read.

So Ultra Male has terrible performance

because I applied it wrong???

Several points:

First, how do you know where?, how? and

how much did I apply?

Second, there are no rules on how to wear a

perfume, therefore there are no mistakes.
And even if such rules existed, which again,
they don’t, wearing a perfume on parts of
your body would be the first one.

Third, you do know that most perfumes will

stain your clothes when they oxidize, right?

Even if you spray the inside part of your

clothes, as you recommend, the stain would
still be noticeable with certain expensive
perfumes.

In fact some Mancera/Montale fragrances

stain bright red, and a few with Oud stain
dark brown. You should really be careful while
doing so, and even more so if you are going
to make it your calling in life to recommend
applying perfumes on clothes.

Think that other people might actually have

expensive perfumes with strong ingredients, I
know you don’t, but others might, and they
could have their clothes damaged while
following your recommendation.

Fourth, I try to avoid getting perfume on my

clothes, although not always possible, and I
do it not only to avoid stains, but also
because I wear a different perfume everyday
and I don’t want any lingering aromas on my
clothes interfering with the next scent.

Fifth, coming back to Ultra Male, this

perfume won’t project nor stay in your body
or your clothes, it really doesn’t matter where
you spray the fragrance it has terrible
performance on any surface, and it’s a shame
because it smells really good.

Got a 40ml bottle. I smelled it for the first

time some 5 years ago and i did not like it,i
thought it was quite synthetic. Now it has
grown on me. Quite good fragrance sweet
and fruity with some fresh mint at the
opening. More sweet than the OG also more
than 1 million. Performance is quite good. I
still prefer the smell of the original,but this is
a good flanker.

Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male

I’ve had this fragrance for three years now
and this is my review.

The top note on this one is too sweet in my

opinion, it can come off as a bit feminine
almost. I get a very sweet pear as the top
note, but I am more in to the more woody,
dark & incense style fragrances so this one is
actually not one of my favorites.

The dry down is a lot better though with

smooth sweetness instead of overwhelming.
It has crazy performance 10+ hours.

Buy this if you like sweet fragrances.

Many girls like the smell of this.

Beast mode scent. Strong projection, and I

can smell this on clothes i wore days ago.
Potent pear right away, lasting vanilla
throughout, and very sweet overall.
Somewhat similar to the OG le Male, but also
pretty unique. I would say it leans "youthful,"
so i dont find myself reaching for it very often.

Just picked this one up, and I love it.

It’s described as an extremely sweet

fragrance, but after the first 30 minutes or so
it dries down to a spicy oriental scent with
the cinnamon and vanilla really shining
through. Definitely sweet at the start, but not
at all throughout the duration of the fragrance
(at least on my skin)

It’s said to be a slightly uni sex fragrance, but

I don’t see it. Again, with the sweet pear
notes at the start it can seem a little uni sex
but as it dries down it’s far from feminine.
Definitely not the most masculine fragrance
out there but I would find it strange smelling
this scent on a woman.

Smells amazing, very strong (be careful about

over-spraying)

My bottle is 2021 and just bought it this

October. The opening is fresh and fruity but I
don't get all the notes at the same times. 20-
30 minutes in and it begins to smell like
metallic-citrus and somewhat green on my
skin. The dry-down is sweet, sexy and the
vanilla is not overwhelming. The longevity is 4
to 5 hours on my skin but it lasts more than 4
days on my shirt. Maybe it is no longer a
beastmode performance as people said but 5
hours is more than enough for me going out
on the weekends. This is not a must have but
it's a fine fragrance for my collection of
vanilla scent. I will say it is a good purchase,
but I won't buy another one after finishing it.

I have over 200 fragrances and this is always

at the front of the line for me. If I haven’t worn
it for a few weeks and I go back to it, every
time I think to myself, “Holy crap, how can
something smell so good!” I am not in the
fragrance game as a compliment seeker, not
that there’s anything wrong with that, (I love
getting a compliment as much as the next
guy), but it is definitely my most
complimented fragrance. The ladies, (and the
gents), swoon over this stuff. I have “9pm”
and it’s good, but honestly, don’t waste your
$$ on it. It’s definitely a much less expensive
alternative but save up your $$ and splurge
on “Ultramale”. You’ll be so, so glad that you
did. All of this, of course, is in my opinion
only. It’s all subjective.

While I totally adore the composition of this

perfume and the smell itself, I am entirely
disappointed by its performance. I purchased
2 bottles in the last 2 years, and both were
performing extremely poorly, also not
showing good aging. Accounting for the
high-performance score shown here and
some written opinions below I can only think
what it was reformulated, or the batch
reproducibility is very bad.

Did someone really say the performance of

this was bad? lmao I can think of many other
fragrances with stronger performance this
has stayed on my clothes for over a week,
sometimes it's too strong because I want to
wear a different perfume the next day on the
same clothes but I can't because it smells of
ultra male. Anyway for those who don't know
ultra male is discontinued so buy backup
bottles

Shocking how headache-inducing this is. It's

screechy and generic and just not good.

I love the notes in other fragrances but not

Hi guys. I’m having this parfume 5th year now

and have worn it maybe 2 time in the past 5
years. Was confused why I bought it, maybe
because it went to the sky as one of the
sexiest fragrances, at least for clubbing. I
didnt like the opening, because it was to
sweet for my taste. I mean, I have fragrances
that are sweet but this opening was more
younger guys even more feminine for me.
Yesterday I sprayed it on my arm, just to
remind myself how it smells, but that
sweetnes wasnt that playfull like I remember
it, it somehow matured, got more serious,
misterious, intimidating and…. The drydown..
OMG! What a plesent smell.. The point is, if
you want to get compliments or to convince
that this is a great fragrance, dont give them
to smell the opening, give them the drydown.
I now understand why everyone was talking
about how sexy this smell is. Apply it 1h
before going out!

Lets do a detail rating:

Wearability: Fall and winter (but colder days)

Longevity: 12+ hours

Sillage: 4-6 hours, sometimes (like the last

time for example

Opening: 4/10

Drydown: 9/10

This might be the best male fragrance I have

ever smelled. It quite literally took my breath
away! Fresh and THICK simultaneously. As a
woman, I adore this. It is incredibly sexy. This
does to women what Good Girl does to men.
A club scent, sure, but go ahead and wear
this all the time if you want to.

As for the individual notes, the most

prominent ones to me were pear, lavender,
and vanilla. I somehow picked up on the
base notes first, then got the top notes in the
dry-down. Everything else blends together to
add richness and depth. Fresh, but not your
typical aquatic or green freshie. It's hard to
describe the exact scent, so I recommend
testing this out to see for yourself.

I got my fiance to spray the tester on himself.

The performance could have been better, but
of course that's dependent on skin chemistry.
I'd still give it a 10/10.

Pleasant amber in the dry down that lasts a

while.
Nice vanilla, almost Guerlainade like,
(Shalimar). I think it's more "fluffy" than
"powdery".

Although the performance is crap, it’s a

delicious fragrance. Good for a club or a
party for the younger man. I’m in my 40s and
feel a little old to wear this but it’s delicious all
the same. I love pear in scents and there’s
buckets of it in this. If you’re a young guy
who goes clubbing, wear this. They’ll be like
flies to pear……..I mean, honey.

If you want a super sweet party scent that

has been around has a good history and you
are kind of crazy with fragrances. You will
need this one in your collection as it is a must
have in a way. It is super sweet but it also
very different, it is been called one of the club
kings for a reason and it will always be
remembered like that. It is old yes is it still
wearable yes. Of course it is designed for the
younger crowd but I still enjoy it once in a
while when I am in open spaces.

This is my favourite scent. Unfortunately

thinking about not getting a new bottle once
it runs out. The more recent batches do not
perform at all; barely projects for 1 hour on
me.

It honestly feels like I need to wear this in

summer now to get any performance out of
it. After the initial 1 MAYBE 2 hours of
projection, it becomes a skin scent and a
weak one at that. After it stops projecting, all
I get is a very light vanilla scent unless I get
hot and it has some heat to liven back up.

feb 2022 batch, and let me tell you, its been

on for 12 hours now, had it back in
2018/2019 the only difference is that there
used to have cinnamon but the pear note is a
bit more jucy, so dont worry about
reformulation, i think ppl just get noseblind to
it

Update: Sold it cus of lack of projection,

erase everything i said above buy Afnan 9pm,
i did so much better

Do not trust you tube reviews saying that this

and others are a beast. I blind bought Afnan
9pm after hearing that was also a beast and
although it did last very long, it had zero
projection

Like the reviewer below said. The

performance on this is junk. Not what it used
to be. These reformulations and other things
are destroying fragrances. They are no longer
worth the money. Everyone should just stop
buying this garbage and let these companies
fold up and evaporate into thin air. They no
longer care about the customer so why
should we care about them!!!!!

This must have been reformulated because it

has no longevity nor projection nor sillage,
nothing compare to what people said on
youtube. Suffice to say Montblanc's
Individuel from 2019 last longer! It reads on
the plastic that wraps the can: "rpk 2017". I
don't know what it means but maybe is
related to the lack of performance. By the
way, it says this is a "Eau the toilette intense",
maybe there is another that is not intense?
Anyway, this can not be the performance
everyone talks about, definitely not. Smells
nice though.

Not a beast. At least not anymore.

This is a really nice scent but I do wonder if

the comments of good performance are
related to older batches. The current product
doesn't perform well in my experience.

As I say its a nice scent while it lasts. Juicy,

spicy, boozy fruit and vanilla.

Going to try Afnan 9pm on the promise of

better performance.

The only scent I wore for three years straight,

and I still have a love affair with it. It's sweet,
vanilla-forward. Imagine eating a poached
pair with vanilla ice cream and caramel on
top. That's essentially the vibe and
composition of this fragrance. Opens with
this fruity pear accord, develops into a
slightly spicy caramel vibe and ends off in a
sexy vanilla amber base. I will say, to this day
this is the most seductive fragrance I've ever
worn, as well as the biggest compliment
magnet, and it's still my signature scent to
use in my collection in colder months.
Because of how sweet it is, it's not for
everyone, BUT if that is your thing, you're
about to fall in love. This does have a
reputation for primarily being a
clubbing/f*ckboi fragrance, but that's just
mainly because of how attractive the scent
profile is. Test it in the fragrance department
of Macy's/Nordstrom/Sephora. You'll know if
you like it or not on the first spray. I know I
sure did. And the rest is history.

It's far too sweet and too strong. even one

spray. The pear note is overbearing and the
smell is just too thick and syrupy, almost like
trickle. I've only had negative comments from
this also so not just my opinion.

Definitely more for the younger crowd, age

group below 25 years. Obviously you can
where what you want but I don't like smelling
like a teenager at club.

You will love this scent if you like sweet

fragrances, I just prefer a more balanced
smell with freshness added to it like the
original Le male.

Syrupy, fruity vanilla with some cinnamon. It

lasts super long, especially on clothing, and it
projects very well too. This is an absolute
banger for the colder days of the year and
most people will like it on you. It’s also my
favorite of the jpg male line, with le parfum
coming in second.

Winter beast

Fruity (cant really smell what fruits), metallic

About as sweet as your ever going to get

with a fragrance. Absolute sugar bomb.
Sweet fruit cinnamon vanilla. Projection is
ridiculous performs even better than
Sauvage. Longevity definitely there also I
would say younger women especially are
almost guaranteed to like this but more so in
the "I would wear this" way. I would certainly
say to me it doesn't smell at all masculine but
others detect masculine notes in it. Honestly
could be better as a womens than a men's
but still a winner for a younger man.

King of clubbing!

This is mainly a sweet pear & vanilla

fragrance, and definitely a top-tier club night
scent.

Isn't as over-the-top sweet or strong as many

other club fragrances, and the pear note
brings some great freshness that balances
out the sweetness and makes this very
likeable and avoids being headache-
inducing.

Sometimes we get too edgy. I mean maybe

you have been listening to Pixies, The Jesus
and Mary Chain and Mogwai excessively for
several months. Perhaps you are reading just
too much Lovecraft, Burroughs and Camus.
It is during times like these where a change
towards lightheartedness and fun is in order
and I make a lateral move and hop on to
some pop punk (Jawbreaker) and 90's
techno (Eurasure) or maybe read (Three Men
in a Boat). Okay, so get to the point. Stop
dropping references and quit being all post
modern. Well, okay, here it goes. Ultra Male is
my guilty pleasure! This stuff is autumn ready
and just a pleasure to wear in between days
sporting Jules by Dior or Kouros. Ultra Male
is a sweet, spicy, fruity antidote to consistent
heavy hitting fragrance wearings. Pear,
cinnamon, lavender and of course vanilla are
the main players here. The base is a very
calming almost incense like amber which
maintains the sweet aura of this fragrance.
This stuff is nuclear in terms of longevity and
performance and clings to clothes for days.
Ultra Male is loud, sweet but never cloying
(imho). Yes, I know it is popular and worn by
everybody, but sometimes it is okay to dip
your toe into something fun and different
from time to time.
I will end with the words of the great Oscar
Wilde: "Fashion is a form of ugliness so
intolerable that we have to alter it every six
months."

Smells really nice, albeit a little bit too dry

and musky for my taste. It also lasts for a
really long time. However, the smell really
reminds me of Layton, which I also own, so
I'm considering replacing Ultra Male with JPG
Le Male Le Parfum instead just for the sake
of diversity in my collection

Super sexy, super sweet bubblegum scent.

It’s not working for me, it’s too sweet and too
playful, kind of fboy fragrance. I can imagine
that as a party scent or using for date night,
but I can’t imagine at any other occasion,
that’s just don’t smell mature enough. If you
looking for a sweet vanilla fragrance just go
for Versace Eros.

At first smell, the pear and sweet vanilla

seemed like a great winter night fragrance.
After a couple of wears, the scent changed
for me- it became extremely cloying and
somehow sweeter. I like sweet unisex
fragrances, but this made me nauseous it
was too sweet- smelled like I bathed in ice
cream. Seems like a cologne made for guys
who wear Ed Hardy jeans, not my style.
