Welcome to Xavier School of Human Resource Management (XAHR), Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB)!
We are pleased to inform that you have been selected for admission to the two-year full-time MBA-HRM
program, 2020-2022, of Xavier School of Human Resource Management (XAHR) of the Xavier University,
Bhubaneswar (XUB). The program will be offered from the New Campus, situated at a distance of about 13 kms
from Bhubaneswar Airport, at Nijigada, Kurki. Your admission is provisional and subject to your complying with
all the other conditions for admission, which are given below.
Please indicate your acceptance of the provisional admission by paying Rs. 1,50,000/- on or before June 22,
2020, towards a part of the first year/instalment fees. The balance of the first year/instalment total program fee,
plus all other fees as applicable, will have to be paid on or before July 15, 2020. The second instalment of the
first year fee will have to be paid on or before October 30, 2020. (Refer to the attached Additional Instructions &
Guidelines.)
You must be ready for the registration during July 27-30, 2020, and the modalities of which will be intimated to
you in due course. The original documents (mentioned in the additional instructions) along with one set of self-
attested copies must be produced at the time of registration. The academic session will commence from August
03, 2020 (Monday).
This admission offer and/or admission will stand cancelled if you:
1) Have not indicated your acceptance of the admission offer by paying the acceptance fee by June 22,
2020; or
2) Do not pay the balance of the first year/instalment fee on or before July 15, 2020; or
3) Do not register for the first academic term during July 27-30, 2020; or
4) Do not produce the required certificates at the time of registration (See Additional Instructions); or
5) Do not complete the requirements of your Degree examinations before the date of registration*; or
6) Do not complete the Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent course, with at least 55% marks in aggregate..
Please note that you are being admitted on the understanding that you will not take any external examination or
not do any other course while you are a student of this University. Violation of this rule and other rules as
mentioned in the students’ manual of policies (MOP) of the School, at any time during the tenure of the study, will
lead to cancellation of registration. Also, at any point of time during the program or after the completion of the
program, if it is found that any information furnished by you is incorrect, you may be asked to discontinue from
the program or your degree may be cancelled.

of the website, to proceed with the following steps to make payment. Keep your XUB ID ready at-hand. Please read ALL
the below steps before you proceed to pay.
Step 1: On the SBI ‘State Bank Collect’ Screen that appears, select the drop-down “Pay Provisional Admission
Acceptance /Waitlist Fee”.
Step 2: Fill in the fields as required (REFER TO THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THIS LETTER)
Step 3: Select the item in the drop menu “Pay Provisional Admission Acceptance Fee” and select amount as
“1,50,000”.
Step 4: Review the Form to confirm that all information provided by you is correct.
Step 5: Proceed to Submit and make payment as instructed.
To make the remaining 1st Year/Instalment Fee follow the steps below:
Login through the website to make a 2nd payment. Keep the receipt generated in earlier transaction ready.
Step 1: On the ‘State Bank Collect’ Screen that appears, select the drop-down “First Year Master Program Fee”.
Step 2: Fill in the details as instructed. Select the name of the program as is given in your letter.
Step 3: Select the amount to pay for each category as detailed in your letter, and proceed to make the payment.
(Note: If a category / amount is not applicable to you (not mentioned in your letter) select ‘0’ and proceed to complete
the form and make the payment)
Please PRINT and retain the e-receipts generated at each step.
Option B (Payment through NEFT / RTGS system)
Option B: Direct Payment through VAN (Virtual Account No) for NEFT/RTGS. Go to any nearest bank and make your
payment as per the bank/account details given below:
a. Bank and Branch Name: South Indian Bank, Xavier University Ext. Counter, Harirajpur.

c. Virtual Account Number (VAN): A327A11 [VAN is the account to which you will make your payment. You will write
first VAN as given above to which you will add, without leaving any space, your XUB ID and program name (HRM) to
identify your payment as found in the offer letter. <VAN+XUB ID+HRM>, therefore, your account No will look something

Payment receipt will be mailed to you by the admission office ([email protected]) after the payment is confirmed by
the Accounts Dept. ([email protected]) or you may collect the payment receipt from New Campus Accounts Office.
2. List of certificates to be submitted at the time of registration: The following original documents
and their self-attested photocopies must be produced at the time of registration, for verification.
1) Matriculation or equivalent certificate (for date of birth).
2) Degree certificate. If you are completing the Degree this year, a certificate from the
Principal/Director of the College/Institute stating that all requirements for Degree including the final
examinations, have been completed.
3) The mark lists of the Higher Secondary and the Degree examinations.
4) Transfer or Migration Certificate from the College/Institute/University.
5) A character certificate from the Principal/Director of the College/Institute last attended.
6) Work experience certificate, if any.
7) Four recent passport size colour photographs.
8) Blood group report.
9) Medical fitness certificate.
10) Anti-ragging undertaking signed by the student and the parent separately.
11) Copy of the Aadhaar Card.
12) Money Receipt for the payment of full first year/instalment fee.
If you have completed / completing the Degree this year, you MUST submit the documents mentioned in
item nos. 2, 4 and 5 above, on or before October 31, 2020. Failure to submit documents 2, 4, 5 by
October 31, 2020 invites penalty of Rs 5,000/- and may also be treated as having not completed the
Bachelor’s degree.
3. Laptop:
It is mandatory to possess a laptop, while you are a student of this University. The preferred OS: Windows
8.1/10 Home/Professional 32/64 Bit Edition; activated with Microsoft Office package (Office Professional
2013/2016/2019 or Office 365). Minimum configuration requirement being Intel ® Core i3 Processor / WIFI
enabled / 500 GB HDD / 4 GB Memory / Minimum two hours battery backup, or any better set-up.
4. Withdrawal, Refund and Other Rules:
After the payment of the first year fees (in part or full), if you withdraw your acceptance of the admission
offer, with the letter of withdrawal reaching our admissions office, on or before July 26, 2020 you will be
entitled to a refund of the fees paid less a processing fee of Rs.3000/-. If you decide to leave the program,
any day after completing the registration, appropriate deductions will be made before refund. The students
withdrawing after registration have to contact the respective Dean-Academics for approval, clearance,
register and exit interview.
With the completion of the Registration, you become a student of this University and you will strive towards
your professional and personal growth. You will be governed by the Manual of Policies and Regulations till
the successful completion of the program.

The Spirit of the Students’ Residence
Our Mission is realized in its objectives of training future leaders by giving them not only academic learning
and managerial skills for life, but also by instilling in them the ethical and social values of life.
In accordance with this Mission, the essence of the Residence is like that of a happy family. The members
of the Residence are expected not only to receive the benefits of this family ethos but also to contribute to
it. Your contribution to the culture and values can be one of the most edifying and formative factors during
your stay at XUB.
We have a warm, friendly and informal culture. You will make new friendships that will last a lifetime. You
will have to adapt to the demands of a rigorous academic life, cope with difficulties, face new challenges
and exercise your judgment based on prudence and reason. At the end of it all, you will have evolved into a
more mature and adaptable person. After your graduation you also will be proud member of this valuable
network, upholding the values and traditions of the University.
Accommodation in Students’ Residences
Students will be given either a single room or a room which will be shared by two students, depending on
the availability of rooms, preferences given by the students and norms decided by the University. Limited
single seated rooms may be available. All the rooms are provided with cots, study table, chairs, cupboards
and internet connectivity through LAN and Wi-Fi. All other indoor/outdoor facilities of the Residences are
shared by the students of all programs. A copy of Manual of Policy (MoP) for the resident students will be
given at the time of Residence registration. Xavier University is recognised by UGC, and hence we have zero
tolerance for ragging, possession and/or consumption of alcohol and we strictly adhere to and implement
the National Policy on Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
Mess Facilities
The Mess, and the payment of minimum mess fee in the University Accounts Office at the time of
admission are mandatory for every resident. The mess is run by a Private Contractor who directly deals with
the students in terms of menu (both veg & non-veg), quality, hygiene etc. One needs to pay the minimum
mess fee separately (Ten months fee @ Rs 3000 per month for PG students) upfront in the University
Accounts Office at the time of admission.
Transport Facilities
The New Campus is located at Plot No. 12A, Nijigada, Kurki, Harirajpur -752050. It is about 16 kms from the
Bhubaneswar Railway Station and about 14 kms from the Bhubaneswar Airport. The taxi fare from the
Airport is about Rs.400/-. The taxi fare from the Bhubaneswar Railway Station is about Rs. 400/-. Auto fare
from the Bhubaneswar Railway Station is about Rs. 300/- during the day. The new campus is about 7 kms
from the Khurda Road Railway Station, and the auto fare is about Rs.100-150/-, and the taxi fare is about Rs.
250/-.

RESIDENCES
Bedding Please bring along with you a mattress, bed sheets, pillow, pillow cases,
mosquito net, towels, blankets, bucket, mug, and lock with key.
Books The University has a well-stacked library, and students will receive their
personal textbooks / reading materials for the courses. So there is no need to
buy any textbooks before coming. However, if you wish, you may bring a
standard English dictionary.
Dress Ordinarily, the style of dressing is informal but not casual. But please bring with
Code you a set of formal dress (suit and tie for gents, sari for ladies) for use on formal
occasions. You are also advised to bring a suitable rainwear for the monsoon
season.
Medical Please get yourself thoroughly examined by a reliable doctor, and bring with
you a complete set of medical documents (on your present state of physical
fitness and health, and past ailments, specifically psychiatric, if any). These are
to be submitted to the University’s Physician on arrival through the Prefect of
the Residences to arrange for medical insurance. XUB has round-the-clock
ambulance service available for the residents. There is a dispensary with
medicines and two nurses and a doctor.
Vehicles Since the program is residential, your presence on campus is required on all
days of the terms. Therefore, you are discouraged from bringing ANY vehicle
to the University. You are not allowed to keep any 4-wheeler in the campus.
However, in exceptional cases, if you decide to bring a vehicle you have to
seek prior permission from the University. You must have its registration
papers and your valid driving license and you have to pay the parking charges
(@ Rs 100/- per month for a two-wheeler and @ Rs 1000/- per month for a four-
wheeler – to be paid for the entire duration of the stay along with the fee). Only
these vehicles are allowed to be parked in the campus.
Sports/ We have facilities for outdoor games, such as basketball, cricket, football, tennis,
Games volleyball, and badminton and indoor games like table tennis, pool table,
carroms etc.
A modern gymnasium is available for the use of the students. There are also
plenty of places for jogging in and around the campus.
Other Water Coolers (RO), Washing Machines, Geysers, Multi-purpose Hall with TV,
Facilities Dhobi, Xerox and Laser Printing facilities, vending zones etc. are also available
on the campus.
