Shiva, Who grants all that is asked for, Who grants desired food, Who is
the wish giving cow, To all the Brahmins, Who rose out of river Ganga

PADMA-ASANA STHITHE DEVI, PARA-BRAHMA SWAROOPINI,

PARAMESHI JAGAN-MAATAAH, MAHA LAKSHMI NAMOSTUTHE ॥7॥
To the one who is seated in the yogic lotus posture, to the one can assume the
form of Supreme Brahman, to the one who is the supreme and universal mother
of the entire creation, I worship to thee, Sri Maha Lakshmi.

Meaning: The accurate meaning of the mantra is: "I fold my hands before the

and destruction of the enemy's intellect". Here, Darkness symbolizes enemy's
intellect and with the arrival of light, darkness disappears. Likewise, light (God's
Grace) destroys darkness (enemy's intellect).
