Course Outcomes
At the end of the course the students should be able to:
1. Discuss the rights and obligations of both employers and employees under
various Malaysian employment legislations (PLO1, C2).
2. Analyze the application of various Malaysian employment legislations (PLO4,
C4).
3. Discuss legal and managerial issues in managing human resources (PLO7, A2).
Course Description
Human resource practitioners must have knowledge of the rights and obligations of
employers and employees and be able to apply the Malaysian employment legislation at the
workplace. Students are taught how to analyze and solve current employment issues
through lectures, class discussions, and collaborative learning. This course will emphasize
the application of the current employment legislation in the workplace.
