DSE855 USB - ETHERNET
CONVERTER INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS

The DSE855 USB to ETHERNET CONVERTOR is designed to allow DSE USB enabled
controllers to be connected to an ethernet by industry standard RJ45 connectors. This
enables (for example) DSE Configuration Suite Software to communicate over an ethernet
connection to a USB enabled DSE controller for configuration and monitoring.
Additionally, a simple web interface allows for a level of monitoring and control using a
standard web browser.
SETUP

You may wish to consult your company’s IT


department before making changes to your
PC network settings.

Connect the DSE855 ethernet port directly


to your PC Ethernet port.
You can use either a ‘straight through’ or
‘crossover’ network cable.

Set the PC IP address as shown.

Using Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet


Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, enter the IP
address of the Convertor.
Enter the username and password of the
Convertor. The factory settings are detailed
below.

NOTE:- Password is CASE

LED STATUS
An LED shows operating status of the USB connection to the host DSE controller.

LED State Description


Off DSE855 is powered down.
Flashing Slowly DSE855 has no active USB connection to a host DSE controller.
Flashing Rapidly DSE855 is connected to a host DSE controller by USB and data is
being transmitted.
