1. Schools across the country celebrate the annual National Nutrition Month or “Buwan ng Nutrisyon” this July. In
connection with this, the National Nutrition Council (NNC) has announced that the theme for this year’s celebration
is “Healthy diet gawing affordable for all!”. The NNC explained that this theme highlights “the need to support efforts
that will enable Filipinos to have greater access to healthy, safe, and affordable food.” SCIS, Feeding Affordable Project”
will advocate the importance of making healthy food accessible and inexpensive.
2. This will cater selected wasted and severely wasted learners who will attend national learning camps to sustain physical
activities and good health. This Project will serve nutritious Soup (Sopas) with malunggay which are available at gulayan
sa paaralan. This will also raise awareness of the importance of healthy food and diets being affordable and readily
available at home and school. Another important aspect of this project is to spread awareness and educate students on
the measures they can take to make their diets healthier.
3. This office announces the meeting on the Implementation of SCIS, Feeding Affordable Project.
4. The participants for the said meeting are TLE Teachers and Club Officers, Beneficiaries, SPTA, and Nutrition Leader.
5. The agenda are the following:

c. Implementation Process
6. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is enjoined.

The following methodologies are shown and designed to effectively
implement the program.
1.Identify the potential wasted; severely wasted students to attend national
learning Camp.
2. Discuss the project with the parents and stakeholder.

4.Identified students will bring their own utensils for their food instead of
using plastic food packed.
5. Nutritious soup will be served during break time.

Narrative To strengthen the health and nutrition among SCIS last Aug. 14-16, 2023,
SCIS Feeding Affordable Project was successfully conducted at Sto Cristo
Integrated School. The said project was a collaborative effort of SCIS
Nutrition Coordinator, TLE teachers headed by TLE Head Department
Ma’am Sheryll B. Duque, Esmer Arosal, and Thelma Tabios. It was
sponsored by Ms. Star Gutierrez and Mr. William Yerxa.
The preparation of the food was done in the cookery room and the
distribution of nutritious meals for the day was served to the students during
break time. It serves all the participants and teachers of NLC. Documentation
and pictures with the stakeholder were also secured for the accomplishment
report.
SCIS Feeding Affordable Project not only enhances and monitors the
nutritional status of the learners but also encourages the participation of
other sectors and parents in promoting proper healthy nutrition.
