Geography: Natural Vegetation Basics

This document discusses natural vegetation and wildlife in Chapter 6 of a geography textbook. It begins with multiple choice questions about types of natural vegetation and factors that influence vegetation growth. Trees in evergreen forests remain green year-round due to heavy rainfall. Many species are becoming endangered due to deforestation, mining, hunting, and climate change. Further questions cover the features of taiga vegetation, limited growth in tundra, differences between evergreen and deciduous forests, and adaptations of taiga forest plants to harsh climates. The final question compares vegetation in hot and cold deserts, noting characteristics that help plants survive dry or freezing conditions.
