Message from Registrar

A University is an institution of higher learning dedicated to multi-faceted


growth of each student. It has integral provisions to ensure an intellectual and
equalitarian environment. Situated in the hinterland of the state of Haryana, CRSU
Jind is a unique place for learning. A significant number of our students come from
remote areas. Hence, diligent efforts are made to keep them at pace with updated and
employability generating syllabi, research endeavors as well as with opportunities to
participate in cultural and sports events. Even at this nascent stage, the university
has made a mark in all fields. We have patents to our credit. A good number of
faculty members are actively involved in research having publications in reputed
journals. MOUs and Research Projects have also been attained by the university. In
keeping with the spirit of innovation and holistic development, the University has
adopted NEP 2020 with hands on training and apprenticeship embedded in the
programme content. The University plans to start an incubation centre to nurture
talent and provide training in both hard and soft skills. CRSU Jind happens to be the
only university that offers Yoga Science & Human Value as elective subjects.
In collaboration with local industrialists, entrepreneurs and retired
personnel, students are provided training for future placements .The University also
boasts to be the best nursery for budding players. Our sportsperson have been
awarded the Bhim Samman and have won laurels at all national and state events. A
green, clean campus is a matter of pride as vigilant steps are taken to minimize our
carbon footprint.
The University values its collaboration with affiliated colleges. Regular
interaction with the colleges is maintained through seminars, cultural and sports
events. We also acknowledge our social responsibility and have adopted five nearby
villages to spread the message of literacy, cleanliness and patriotism.

UNIVERSITY PROFILE

Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind (Haryana) was established on July 24, 2014, by the State Legislature Act
28 of 2014. It is located on a sprawling 75 acre campus situated on Gohana-Rohtak bypass, Jind. The primary
objective of the university is to impart quality education and create an environment that is conducive to the
production and dissemination of knowledge. The university's vision is guided by innovative thinking, scientific
enquiry, sublime human values, sustainable ecology, and democratic ethos. Its aim is to cultivate citizens with a
rich awareness of our heritage who can lead and serve in every sphere of human activity.

The University is affiliated under section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, vide letter no. 9-12/2014 (CPP-I/PU) dated
26 September 2014 and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. It is also recognized by the
University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 12(B) of the UGC Act, making it eligible for central
assistance, as of 03.01.2018. Despite being a relatively new university, CSRU has many accomplishments to its
name.

The University has recently constructed a new academic block, C.V. Raman Bhawan and Patanjali Yogshala- all
with modern facilities. The university's central library houses about 16,000 books, national and international
refereed journals and magazines, and subscriptions to several Hindi and English newspapers. The library also
provides round-the-clock internet access to students. The university has a Language Lab to help students improve
their communication skills, and a Computer Lab equipped with the latest software and internet connection. The
Language Lab has been established to improve students' communication skills. The Lab is equipped with the latest
software for English Language and Communication, providing opportunities for students to work with online
exercise sheets and virtual practice sessions in a simulated environment. The labs of university have latest
appliances and equipments, spacious Conference Room and two auditoriums equipped with world-class facilities.
The University is also in the process of constructing its new library, guest house and residential complex.

The University has shown impressive results in both academics and co-curricular activities, and it looks forward to
a promising future. The University Computer & Informatics Centre (UCIC) is working to provide excellent
infrastructure facilities with high-end systems controlled by Dell Make Power Server, covering the whole campus
with optical fibre LAN. Internet access of 1 Gbps is available to students and staff 24x7. UCIC is monitoring and
updating all university information on various portals and aims to automate administrative and secretarial wings of
the university. UCIC also provides opportunities to enhance students' professional knowledge. The Pandit Deen
Dayal Upadhayaya Kendra grooms students for various professional fields by offering free UGC NET coaching,
personality development capsules, and SSB coaching. Experts from different fields are also invited to deliver
extension lectures in the centre.

The University offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various disciplines such as
Science, Arts, Commerce, Law, Education, and Management and shall be adding more programmes to its
curriculum. The faculty at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind is renowned for their expertise and
commitment to providing quality education to their students.

There are currently 26 departments in operation, 42 undergraduate and post graduate programmes. With a focus on
providing quality education, the University has recently launched two undergraduate programmes in line with the
National Education Policy 2020. With a focus on providing quality education, the University has recently
launched two undergraduate courses in line with the National Education Policy 2020. The first Programme is a
four year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program, which is designed to equip students with the
knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the world of business. The second Programme is a four year Bachelor
of Commerce (B. Com) program that offers multiple entry and exit options, allowing students to customize their
educational path based on their individual needs and interests. With these new programs, Chaudhary Ranbir Singh
University is poised to continue its tradition of excellence and prepare the next generation of leaders. The
Programmes offered by the University are based on the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), which is a flexible
system that allows students to choose courses of their interest and pace their learning accordingly. The University
places great emphasis on holistic education and universal human values. To this end, the university has made it
compulsory for all its students to study the papers of "Universal Human Values and Holistic Education for Health,
Happiness and Harmony" in Semester-I and Yoga Science in Semester-III. The university also offers a variety of
vocational, job oriented and skill-based online/offline certificate/diploma Programmes to cater to the needs of
students seeking industry-relevant skills. These programmes are designed to equip students with practical
knowledge and expertise in specific fields, making them ready for job.

The University has established a Research Innovation and Promotion Council and Professional Ethics under the
ambit of IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell). This highlights the university's commitment to research and
innovation, as well as promoting professional ethics among its faculty and students. The university has also
organized various workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance the research capabilities of its faculty and
students. These initiatives reflect the university's dedication to fostering a culture of research and promoting
intellectual curiosity among its community.
Apart from academic excellence, the university has also excelled in the field of research and innovation. Its state-
of-the-art research facilities and laboratories enable students and faculty to conduct cutting-edge research and
develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. In addition to its academic and research achievements, The
University also lays emphasis on extracurricular activities and overall personality development of its students. It
provides ample opportunities for students to participate in sports, cultural activities, and social service programs.

The University has achieved remarkable success in sports in recent years. Students have excelled in various
national and international competitions. Ms. Shakshi, a Kabaddi player, and Ms. Rimpi, a Handball player,
received Bhim Award 2022. Ms. Shakshi also received the prestigious Arjuna Award 2022. Ms. Priyanka, another
student of the university, won a gold medal in the Senior Handball Asian Championship held in Jordan Oman
2023.In the Khelo India University Games 2nd Edition 2021, CRS University, Jind, won medals in Boxing,
Wrestling, and Karate disciplines. The Boxing team of the University won two gold medals (Miss Pooja 50kg and
Miss Dipika 63kg) and one bronze medal (Mr. Parash 92 kg). The team also adjudged Overall 2nd place in the
Boxing Championships. In Wrestling, the university won three gold medals (Mr. Raman, Mr. Gurmeet, Minakshi
53kg) and two silver medals (Mr. Ankit and Ms. Bhawana 72kg). In Karate, the university won two gold medals
(Mr. Ankush and Mr. Hitender), one silver medal (Team Event), and one bronze medal (Mr. Rahul). The Karate
team of the university adjudge Overall 3rd place in the Karate championships.

Cultural achievements/highlights of the University include participation in various International, National and
State Level competitions and events. In 2022, CRSU celebrated State Level Event titled “Haryana Utsav” to
celebrate Haryana Day on 1st November; the University won the Runner-up Trophy on the occasion. This
achievement show cases the University's commitment to promoting and celebrating the cultural heritage of the
state of Haryana. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students and faculty members of the
university. The event provided a platform for the students to showcase their talents and creativity, and it helped to
foster a sense of unity and pride among the members of the university community. The university also divided all
degree and educational colleges into three zones, i.e., University Teaching Department-Special Zone, Narwana
Zone, and Safidon Zone, and celebrated the Narwana Zone Youth Festival from 12-13 November 2022 at C.R.
Kisan College, Jind, and the Safidon Zone Youth Festival from 16-17 November 2022 at Hindu Kanya
Mahavidyalaya, Jind.In addition, CRS University organized its first Inter Zonal Youth Festival in 2022 and
participated in the North-West Zone Youth Festival, held from 24-28 January 2023 at M.M. University, Mulana-
Ambala. The university won the 3rd position in Procession and 3rd position in Classical Indian Vocal Solo. CRS
University also participated in the National Youth Festival, held on 24-28 February 2023 at Jain University,
Bengaluru. Moreover, the university participated in "Spandan," held from 25-26 February 2023, at the Central
University of Haryana, Mahendergarh, and in the "All India Shri Nandlal Gadiya Memorial Debate-2023," held
from 02-03 March 2023 at Mewar University Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. These achievements are a testament to the
university's commitment to promoting cultural diversity and fostering a spirit of healthy competition among its
students.

In August 2022, Haryana's Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala laid the foundation stone for some new
buildings at the University and innaugrated the newly constructed teaching block. He also laid the foundation
stone of a Hi-Tech Library building that is set to be constructed. This move is expected to enhance the
infrastructure of the University and provide state-of-the-art facilities to the students. The Hi-Tech Library building
is expected to be equipped with modern amenities and will cater to the needs of students pursuing higher studies in
various streams. This initiative is a step towards the government's vision to promote education and provide world-
class facilities to students in the state.

Overall, the University has established itself as a leading institution of higher education in Haryana and is
committed to providing a holistic education to its students that prepares them to face the challenges of the future.

Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind (Haryana) won Prof. Manubhai M. Shah Memorial Research
Award and Gold Medal for best research parper titles "An Empirical Investigation of Factors
Influencing Perceptions towards the Adoption of Electric Vehicles" at 73rd All India Commerce
Conference 2022 of Indian Commerce Association held on 22-24 December, 2022 at Dr. Babasaheb
Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (MH).

Ten research papers published by the M.Sc. students of Physics Department in the International Journal of
high repute.

A patent titled "Process for preparing Oxyfluoride Lithium Zinc Borosilicate Glasses Doped with
Dy3+Ions" awarded to one Ph.D. Scholar, M.Sc. Student along with one faculty of Department of Physics.

Research innovation and promotion council and professional ethics under the ambit of IQAC, CRSU
has been established.

Various workshops, seminars and conferences have been organized by university to strengthen research.

UNIVERSITY LIBRARY
Libraries are an integral part of all educational institutes in India. CRSU Library is a Central facility, which
caters to the informational requirements of the Students, Teachers, Research Scholars, and other staff members of
the University. University Library is well equipped with nearly 28437 books. It has subscribed 15 Newspapers in
Hindi & English Languages. It is well equipped with the technology and infrastructure. It has a separate computer
lab for the use of the Researchers, Students and Teachers. Kiosk system has also been installed for the convenience
of the Library users. It is computerized with KOHA Software. It provides Web Online Public Access Catalogue
(Web-OPAC) system, to search, and to check the availability of books online anywhere. It, at present not only
allows the members to borrow books or other resources, but also provides reading room where the readers can
study peacefully. It has air conditioner reading environment. The Library timings are from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.
(Issue/Return- 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) as per availability of the staff. It recorded about 200 users including

RANI LAXMI BAI GIRLS HOSTEL

The University has one Girls Hostel named after the Queen of Jhansi, Rani Laxmi Bai. It has the capacity of
accommodating 240 girls. The hostel is provided with electronic gadgets including electric geysers, 32” LED
along with Dish/DTH facility and water cooler with RO system. The hostel subscribes to several national and
regional dailies and magazines for enabling the students to know what is happening around the world. Sports
facilities for girls included table tennis and badminton court, volleyball court, gym and different indoor games
carom-board and chess etc. Medical facilities to all hostel residents are provided through the University Health
Centre. The hostel on the campus operates its own mess providing hygienic and nutritious meals with a varied
menu. In view of the number of students applying for hostel accommodations, the University allows hostel to the
students on the basis of merit.

In addition to the above, the Hostel has Vending Machine Facility and Common room facility for the students.

CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI CHHATRAVAS FOR BOYS


The University has boys hostel after the name of great freedom fighter, Chhatrapati Shivaji. It has capacity to
accommodate 200 Students. The hostel has following facilities:

PANDIT DEEN DAYAL UPADHAYAY UNIVERSITY HEALTH CENTRE

The Health Centre located in University Campus has sufficient space for a dispensary with patient beds and stools
with drop stand. The centre provides free medicines to all students and staff. The health centre is well equipped
with all basic apparatus and general OTC medicines. The Health Centre also provides first line of treatment in
emergency cases. The process for the full-fledged development of university health centre is in process and will be
accomplished soon.

UNIVERSITY COMPUTER AND INFORMATICS CENTRE (UCIC)

The University Computer & Informatics Centre (UCIC) is striving to develop the University as "Digital
University", working rigorously to provide excellent infrastructure facilities with High end system controlled by
Dell Make power Server. Central UPS with a power back up of 8 hours is controlling all the Computer Systems
connected via optical fiber LAN covering the whole Campus. 24×7 Internet facility with 1.5 Gbps is available for
students as well as staff members. UCIC is continuously monitoring and updating all the information on
University website. The UCIC established a Computer Centre with the objective of providing readily available
facilities of computers to the students and teaching and non-teaching staff of the University. It also purports to
automate administrative and secretarial wings of the University with the aim to cater to the needs of the entire
University. University Computer & Informatics Centre (UCIC) is providing opportunity to enhance professional
knowledge among students and staff members. The University Computer & Informatics Centre (UCIC) manages
the services of Integrated University Management System, Video Conferencing, IPABX telephone exchange etc
for facilitation of students & staff members.

LANGUAGE LAB

The language lab has been established to improve communication skills of the students. The lab is equipped with
latest software related to English Language and Communication. It provides a host of opportunities for students to
work with online exercise sheets and virtual practice sessions, thus enabling them to learn language in a simulated

SC/ST/OBC CELL

The SC/ST/OBC Cell has been established in the University implement of the various policies and programmes
launched by the State Government and the UGC for the benefit of the SC/ST/OBC students and employees. It also
undertakes activities to develop awareness among the SC/ST/OBC students about the role of University in higher
education avenues. The members of the staff in the Cell are actively engaged in co-ordinating and solving the
problems in matters of admissions/ scholarships etc. and resources utilization in the university. Students are
informed about government scholarships and fellowships through timely circulars. The Cell concentrates on the
implementation of the rules of reservation in admissions as well as monitoring the prevention of discrimination.
The Cell aims at providing educational opportunities to those, who are economically and socially deprived, in the
higher education Institution.

The SC/ST/OBC Cell has taken up problems of the SC/ST/OBC students and employees with the university
authorities and has solved some of them amicably. The Cell, in the ultimate analysis, has been a user friendly
counselor to all SC/ST/OBC employees and students. The University provides tabulating information periodically
and promptly on all aspects to the Government of India, and the Government of Haryana. The Liaison Officer, on
behalf of the Cell, organizes periodical meeting with SC/ST/OBC students to sensitize them about the facilities
available on the University campus. Interactive sessions and informal meetings are also conducted to equip them
deal with personal, social and academic problems. The Co-ordinator ensures due compliance of the orders of
reservation issued from time-to-time in favour of SC/ST/OBC’s. Co-ordinator also looks after the prompt disposal
of grievances of the SC/ST/OBC employees. The Cell particularly attempts, (i) to ensure due compliance with the
reservation policies and other benefits admissible to SC/ST/OBC (ii) to scrutinize and ensure prompt submission
of the prescribed annual statements by the appointing authorities to the University and consolidation of the annual
statements and sending such consolidated statements to the UGC (iii) to scrutinize properly all proposals for de-
reservation and to certify that such de-reservations are inevitable (iv) to co-ordinate between the university
authorities and the government by supplying required information, answering queries, and clearing doubts etc.

GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING CELL

The Cell takes care of issues of mental well-being of all stakeholders. During Covid-19, efforts have been made
by Guidance and Counselling Cell to organize programs related to personal and academic stress issues of students
through telephonic and through online counselling. A stress management committee was established by university
under Guidance & Counselling Cell and Department of Psychology. This committee addresses different issues
related to examination stress, uncertainty and anxiety for future due to pandemic and so on. Mental health
measures have also been taken for students and life skill training program was organized by the Department of
Psychology for better mental health of the students.

TRAINING & PLACEMENT CELL

Training and Placement Cell strives to provide all possible support for students in their employability like
Entrepreneurship, Job Search in Corporate Sector, etc. The University is providing sufficient funding to the Cell.
The benefits of this funding are reflected in the preparation of students to be able to secure high-income and
prestigious positions. Training and placement services operate year-round to facilitate contact with companies,
NGOs, and Government funding agencies for entrepreneurship. Director, Training and Placement is readily
available to answer any type of student's questions or concerns. The aim is to ensure that students have the
information and skills they need to conduct effective employment.

The cell regularly conducts surveys on what recruiters expect from students. The cell organizes employment
promotion training with particular emphasis on grooming sessions, soft skills development, business etiquette,
general personality development, effective presentation skills, interviewing skills, leadership, and team building as
required for industry professionals. Planning and holding workshops/seminars, promoting internship opportunities,
join the industry with summer internships, organizing industry visits.

On-campus recruitment campaigns will be conducted by inviting companies from the private, public, and
government sectors to fill entry-level positions for university students. Placement support is not only
industry/sector/vertical but also feature-related.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY CELL

The University has constituted Equal Opportunity Cell to provide equal opportunity to all including persons with
disability. In addition, it will also examine all the possible ways in which disadvantaged and other minority groups
can be helped.

VIGILANCE CELL

The University has a Vigilance Cell to activate vigilance machinery for investigating complaints and sensitizing
the University community against corruption and corrupt practices. The main objective of this cell is to prevent
corruption and to encourage a culture of honesty and integrity.

RESEARCH CELL

The University has constituted the Research Cell to facilitate and promote quality research in emerging areas of
higher education with focus on new frontiers and to act as a knowledge power- house capable of contributing to
the national development and welfare of the society.

INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

IQAC plays an important role in improving the quality of higher education in University system. Considering the
same and with the spirit to enhance the quality in education, IQAC cell was established in the year 2014. Since its
establishment, IQAC is working hard and making best possible efforts to achieve the goal. As this cell is ensues
for quality, hence various sub committees have been constituted to complete the work in time bound manner with
promising efficiency. A number of workshops have been conducted and also planned for near future. Sufficient
emphasis is being tried to encourage for research, which is one of the crucial factors in achieving good score in
NAAC. IQAC also organizes Orientation programs for non-teaching staff in collaboration with HIPA.

INTERNAL COMPLAINT COMMITTEE (ICC)

The University is committed to provide to all women a place of work and study free of sexual harassment,
intimidation and exploitation. It is expected that all students, faculty, staff and officials treat one another and
visitors to the University with respect. Reports of sexual behavior are taken seriously and dealt with promptly.

Sexual harassment can take place in various forms; some subtle and indirect, some blatant and overt. As per
policy, the University has constituted ICC to ensure rights in interest of all women employees and students.
NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (N.S.S)

In India, the idea of involving students in the task of national service dates back to the times of Mahatma Gandhi,
the Father of the Nation. It was thought of Mahatma Gandhi that students should always be aware of their social
responsibility. The first duty of the students should be, not to treat their period of study as one of the opportunities
for indulgence in intellectual luxury, but for preparing themselves for final dedication in the service of those who
provide the sinews of the nation with the national goods & services so essential to society.
The idea was considered by the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) and implemented as National
Service Scheme as per recommendation of the CABE keeping in view that student should devote some time to
manual work on a voluntary basis and the teachers should also associate with them in such work.
Main objectives of NSS are as under:

1) Understand the community in which they work;


2) Understand themselves in relation to their community;
3) Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process;
4) Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility;
5) Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solution to individual and community problems;
6) Develop competence required for group living and sharing of responsibilities;
7) Gain skills in mobilizing community participation;
8) Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude;
9) Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and
10) Practice national integration and social harmony.

The Motive of NSS

The motto of the National Service Scheme is: ‘NOT ME BUT YOU’. This reflects the essence of democratic
living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other person’s point of view and also to
show consideration for fellow human beings.
Benefits
NSS certificate will be issued to NSS volunteer who will complete 240 hours of regular activities in the period of
2 years and has attended one annual special camp. This Certificate has special weightage during admission or for
job etc. as an extra curriculum.

YOUTH RED CROSS


The Youth Red Cross (YRC) Zone of the University is the part of Indian Red Cross Society. It is set up in
educational institutions with an objective to make people aware about HIV AIDS, service to the sick and
suffering, protection of health and life, promotion of national and international friendship to develop the mental
and moral capacities of Youth. It organizes Awareness Campaigns, First Aid Training, Fire Fighting Training,
Voluntary Blood Donation, Yoga and other physical fitness exercises. Its volunteers also lend a helping hand in
relief work during emergencies like flood, fire, earthquake, draught and other natural calamities. It also organizes
National, State and Universities Level YRC camps for the students during December/January every year. There is
YRC unit of 50 students in the University campus and all its affiliated colleges. The Youth Red Cross, CRSU, Jind
organized 5 Day students Training Camp from 7th to 11th Jan 2020 in association with Indian Red Cross Society,
Jind at University campus.

STUDENTS WELFARE ACTIVITIES

The office of Dean Students’ Welfare is established in any educational institution with an objective to carry out
students’ welfare activities through various programs, policies and projects to further facilitate conducive and
healthy environment for the holistic and multidimensional development of students of the University. Various
sports, cultural, social outreach programs, awareness campaigns, lecture series, workshops, seminars and
conferences on themes of contemporary relevance are conducted throughout the session and all possible support is
extended to the students for honing their talent. Bus and railway pass facilities are also provided to the bonafide
students of UTDs. The projects like establishing well furnished separate common room for boys and girls and
Group Insurance Scheme (GIS) and scheme for financial aid to students are in progress.
To promote sports activities on campus, UTD Sports Committee has been constituted which takes trials of the
teams to be sent to compete at national and international level and organize various sports activities like Annual
Athletic Meet, Cross Country Run etc. Beside this the sports kits and other sports items are also purchased on the
recommendations of UTD Sports committee. UTD, Teams of Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind
participated in various Tournaments like Wrestling, Kho-Kho, Handball, Kabbadi, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket,
Fencing, Athletic etc. and created a niche for themselves at national and international level during the session
2020-2021.
The department also observes all important anniversaries and days of national importance to commemorate the
contribution of freedom fighters and social reformers. In this league Gandhi Jayanti, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel
Jayanti, Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand, AIDS Awareness Day, Women’s Day etc are observed. To keep
students up to date and make them aware of various social issues Youth Red Cross organizes various Programmes,
Training Camps and Blood Donation Camps etc.

DIRECTORATE OF YOUTH AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS


The youth represent the hope and future of a country. They have a vital role to play in fostering and strengthening
social consciousness against all social evils and leading the country to unity and prosperity. Directorate of Youth
& Cultural Affairs, Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind act as a platform for the cultural empowerment of
the students and equip them to find new opportunities globally. DYCA, CRSU, Jind has not only been developing
the cultural infrastructural facilities in the University but also trying to showcase the hidden talents of students by
providing opportunities to participate in district, state, and national level competitions. To strengthen the feeling of
self-confidence, self-reliance, discipline, and communal harmony as well as to help in ensuring the all-round
growth of the students.
Cultural activities are undertaken to strengthen the awareness of the cultural heritage and foster positive values of
goal setting, patience and perseverance, competitiveness and cooperation, and coordination in the students of
UTDs and affiliated colleges. The directorate celebrates and observes all important days such as Independence
Day, Republic Day, National Youth Day, Martyrdom Day, and Teachers’ Day to commemorate the sacrifices of
our warriors and to motivate the students for patriotism. The directorate organizes Talent Search Competition at
the beginning of the academic session to identify and motivate the students to take part in different cultural
activities such as Dance, Theatre, Music, Literary, and Fine Arts. Further, the directorate organizes Haryana Utsav
on the occasion of Haryana Day and also organizes Zonal and Inter Zonal Youth Festivals in October/November
in all events notified by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
To preserve cultural values and unity in diversity, it is of supreme importance that we foster national and
emotional integration among our students. The Directorate of Youth & Cultural Affairs, CRSU, Jind aims to
promote national, cultural, and emotional oneness among the youth.

DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC RELATIONS

Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University’s Directorate of Public Relations Office works to increase awareness,
understanding and support of University’s vision, mission and accomplishments. Working with the Vice-
Chancellor, Deans, Chairpersons, Academic and Administrative Officers, Faculty and Staff, Department of Public
Relations provides communications services and support-significantly contributing to the advancement of the
University’s image/brand as it relates to its target audiences, local community and internal and external
constituents.

3. CRS University is the leading university in the 1st and 2nd edition Khlo India University Games held at
Orissa 2020 and Bangalore 2022 respectively, achieving 14 rank in the National level and 3rd rank among the
state universities of Haryana.

2. Before filling the online Application Form, the candidates are required to read the prospectus carefully. For any

3. The admission to M.Ed., M.Ed. (Special Education) Courses, PGDRP, M.P.E.S. and M.A Education for the
Academic Session 2023-24 will be made on the basis of inter-se merit of percentage of the Qualifying
Examination through online counselling by C.R.S.U. Jind.
4. No one who is already in employment (whole time or part time or in honorary capacity) shall be admitted to the
any of the courses without taking leave from the employer for full academic session.
5. It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure eligibility for admission before applying for the course. If
on verification at a later stage, it is found that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility conditions, his/her
candidature will be cancelled and the fee deposited by him/her shall be forfeited.
6. On-line registration-cum-counselling fee is Rs. 1000/-. Registration cum Counselling Fee is non-refundable.
7. On-line Registration-cum-Counselling Fee shall be deposited by the candidate online through Credit / Debit
Cards and Net Banking on the charges already fixed by IDBI.
8. All the candidates must verify their personal information during online registration.
9. Locking of submitted choices is advisable, however, candidates who do not lock the choices, their last filled
choice would be considered final.
10. Registered candidates who do not fill choices or fail to save the same cannot be considered for admission and
seat allotment.
11. Candidates must take print-out of their onlineApplication Form along with their locked choices. This print-out
has to be signed and submitted at the time of reporting for admission.
12. The outcome of counselling will be displayed on www.crsu.ac.in as per admission schedule. No individual
allotment letter will be sent to the candidates. They will have to download by applying Registration and
password allotted to them and report to the allotted college from the website i.e. www.crsu.ac.in.
13. All the candidates who are allotted seats will report to allotted college/institute within stipulated date, failing
which their seat allotment shall stand cancelled. Also, they will not be considered for further Counsellings.
14. Candidates will produce all the relevant certificates in original including Registration-cum- Counselling Fee
receipt for verification along with provisional allotment letter, a signed print out of their online application
form, their locked choices generated from the website at the time of reporting.
15. At the time of reporting, if documents are found to be correct on verification by the college then provisional
admission/ auto upgradation letter generated online will be issued to the candidate by the concerned college.
The candidate shall check all the entries in this provisional admission/ auto up-gradation letter and should sign

16. The allotment of seats is liable to be cancelled, if the personal data viz. Category, Residential Status, Bonafide
Residents of Haryana or All India Category), percentage of marks in qualifying examination, gender etc.
submitted by the candidates at the time of registration is found to be wrong at the time of verification of the
original certificates atAllotted Institutes. But, if the candidate is found to be eligible after the correction in
personal data, the candidate may be considered for subsequent rounds of counseling, if any, against the
vacancies only.
17. If a candidate is admitted on the basis of the information submitted by him/ her, which is found to be incorrect
or false at any stage then his/ her admission shall be cancelled and all fees and other dues paid by him/ her
shall be forfeited. The University/ College/ Institute may take further action, as deemed fit, against the
candidate in accordance with law.
18. Candidate seeking admission are advised to ensure that they are lawfully admitted failing which, they shall not
be authenticated and registered by the CRSU, Jind and they themselves shall be responsible for any such lapse.
19. All the rules and regulations for submission of migration certificates by the candidates who have passed the
qualifying examinations from other Universities will be applicable as per the rules of the CRSU, Jind.
20. In case, a candidate after having deposited required fee for admission to M.Ed., M.Ed. (Special Education),
PGDRP, M.P.E.S., M.A Education Course for the Academic Session 2023-24 decides to leave the said courses
before the last round of counselling, the fee deposited by the candidate will be refundable to him/her by the
concerned college if the seat so vacated is filled by some other candidate after deducting Rs. 1,000/- only.
21. In case of ambiguity about any rule, the interpretation of the same by the University shall be final.
22. All legal disputes relating to admission to these courses will be subject to Courts having jurisdiction at Jind.
23. The number of colleges/sanctioned seats may increase or decrease based upon the approval and affiliation
from the University.
24. Candidates are advised to consult the updated list of colleges on the website www.crsu.ac.in, before filling
their choices as intake in various institutes subject to change by the comptent authority in view of pending
writs\appeals in courts\NCTEwith regard to their recogation.
25. The attendance rules of the University will be applicable on the students.
26. The participating Colleges/Institutions will ensure that all the admissions will be made only on the basis of the
recognized and valid degree (s)/certificate (s) issued by the approved and recognized Institutes/Universities. In
case any clarification of equivalence/recognition of qualifying degree/certificate/Institute/University is
required, the same may be obtained from the University.
27. All the updated latest information/notices/changes/modifications will be displayed on the University website.
28. The candidates are required to visit the website regularly to obtain the latest information.
29. All the candidates are hereby advised that all the entries in the application form should be filled in carefully by the
candidates they must ensure that they have filled correct name, subject, stream etc. while filling the online application
form. If any entry found incorrect at the later stage, rupees five hundered (Rs. 500/-) will be charged for the correction.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR COLLEGES

1. Every College shall constitute an Admission Committee to be appointed by the Principal


from amongst the teachers of College.
2. Verification of the documents of the candidate will be made by the respective Admission
Committee of College at the time of reporting for admission, by comparing with the
original certificate against which candidate has been allotted seat. Any entry of information
filled/made by the candidate, if found to be false, shall entail automatic cancellation of
admission.
3. The admission committee may ensure that the Candidate has deposited the fee as per
his/her entitlement.
4. Online reporting should be done as and when candidate reports at institute and not on the
last date of admission.
5. After successful admission of the candidate, the institute must issue system generated
provisional admission slip/ auto up-gradation letter to candidate.
6. Colleges are required to update admission status online on www.crsu.ac.in strictly as per
admission schedule so that the subsequent counseling may be conducted as per schedule,
failing which they will be fined heavily.
7. All admissions by colleges are to be updated/ reported online, as and when they admit the
candidates. No permission of any kind would be provided for admitting students, if status
of admission not reported online as per key dates/schedule.
8. Information about only those candidates, whose admission status has been reported online,
will be forwarded to Registration Branch of the University.
9. Responsibility for any wrong/irregular/excess admission will entirely rest upon the
Principal concerned.
10. Admission of candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from other
University shall be provisional subject to verification of the eligibility by the Registration
Branch of the University.
11. All the rules and regulations for submission of Registration Return of students by the
college will be applicable as per the rules of the Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, Jind.
12. Every College must give accurate information on its website regarding human and
instructional resources alongwith subject in which teachers are available in the College.
13. Under no circumstances the original certificates of the candidate should be retained by the
college. The candidate seeking admission will submit two sets of his/her
documents/certificates duly self attested by Candidate, at the time of reporting in the
college. The Principal of the College will authenticate these documents/ certificates after
comparing these from the originals and the originals will be returned to the candidate. One
set of these documents/ certificates thus authenticated by the college shall be deposited in
the affiliating University, for the purpose of registration, for which no original certificate
shall be demanded. Anyhow, if the affiliating University, so desires the original certificates
from the candidate can be demanded through the institute of his/her admission for any
purpose what so ever these may be.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION

MASTER OF EDUCATION (M.ED.) 2 YR. (SEMESTER SYSTEM) COURSE


Eligibility as per NCTE norms:
The admission for the Degree of M.Ed. Programme shall be open to candidates having atleast 50%
marks or an equivalent grade in any of the following programmes:
(i) B.Ed.
(ii) B.A.-B.Ed, B.Sc.-B.Ed
(iii)B.El.Ed.
(iv) D.El.Ed with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each)
MASTER OF EDUCATION (M.ED.) SPECIAL EDUCATION 2 YR. (SEMESTER
SYSTEM) COURSE:
Eligibility as per RCI norms:
The admission for the degree of M.Ed. Spl.Ed. degree shall be open to:
(a) A candidate who has successfully passed B.Ed Spl. Ed. With minimum 50% marks in
respective disability area from a recognized University or any other degree considered
equivalent to B.Ed.Spl.Ed. from an affiliating University and/or teaching department under any
University recognized by U.G.C. with RCI registration/recognition.
(b) A candidate who has successfully passed the B.Ed. General Course and has successfully
completed Diploma in Education (Special Education) in respective disability are recognized by
the Rehabilitation Council of India with minimum 50 percent marks in each course.
(c) A candidate who has successfully passed the B.Ed. General course and has successfully
completed Post Graduate Professional Diploma (PGPD) in Special Education in concerned
disability (till Academic Session 2014-15).
(d) A candidate with B.Ed.Spl.Ed. in particular specialization may be allowed for M.Ed.Spl.Ed.
cross disability/multicategory (as and when offered) but the reverse is not allowed.
B.Ed.Spl.Ed. with multi-category should not be admitted for specialization in a single disability
at the B.Ed.Spl.Ed. level, however, these can be admitted to B.Ed.Spl.Edu. Area C Courses and
complete the Specialization Courses to qualify for a particular disability. On completion of
Area C, these can be admitted to the M.Ed.Spl.Ed. in a specific disability.
(e) A student with B.A/B.Sc./B.Com.B.Ed.Spl.Ed (4 years Integrated course in concerned area
of disability).
(f) Candidate should have valid RCI registration.
Note:
(i) There shall be no rounding off of percentage of marks of the qualifying examination from 0.5%
and above to next higher number for determining the eligibility i.e. 49.5% and above will not be
rounded off to 50%.
(ii) 47.5% marks for SC/ST candidates of Haryana State only. As per instructions from state Govt.
letter dated :-16-07-2014
(iii) 47.5% marks for Blind /Persons with Disabilities and visually/Hearing Impaired candidates.
(iv) Compartmental candidates will not be allowed admission in M.Ed./M.Ed.Special Education
( Regular Course) in any case.
(v) Cut off date for eligibility will be the last date/time of online choice filling.

ELIGIBILTIY FOR M.P.E.S.


B.P.E.S. as per UGC Notification dated 02-05-2016.(Annexure- XIV )
I. Candidate who have obtained at least 45 % (42.5 % for SC/ST) marks in the B.P.Ed. four years
integrated degree/B.P.E.S/B.P.E/B.Sc. degree in Physical Education, Health Education and sports
or equivalent degree are eligible for admission.

ELIGIBILTY FOR PGDRP:


a. Bachelor's degree (regular mode) with general psychology courses in all the three years, or
b. Master’s degree in any branch of psychology either in regular or distance mode, or
c. Master’s degree in counseling psychology either in regular or distance mode 5 with a minimum of 55%
marks in aggregate. For SC/ST/OBC category, minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is essential. Entry
qualification shall be from a UGC recognized university.

ELIGIBILTY FOR M.A Education Two Year Programme:


1. Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 45 % marks in aggregate (42.75 % for
SC/ST/Blind/visualty/Differently ableded etc. candidates)
PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST FOR ADMISSION
Merit for admission to M.Ed., M.Ed (Special Education), PGDRP, M.P.E.S and M.A Education Courses shall be
determined on the basis of marks obtained in the Qualifying examination. However, if two or more candidates
have obtained Equal marks, following procedure will be used for the preparation of merit:

ONLINE ADMISSION PROCEDURE
This section provides an overview of the steps involved in counselling and admission process.
A. Online Registration
(i) Candidate should visit website www.crsu.ac.in
(ii) Candidates should go through prospectus for gathering information/instruction in details about
Counselling schedules and procedures. Softcopy is available on the websites www.crsu.ac.in
(iii) Candidates will register themselves as per key dates mentioned in the admission schedule for Self-
Financing Colleges of Education affiliated to this University.
(iv) For participation in online admission process, a candidate has to register by submitting personal
data/requisite information correctly in the online application form. On submitting this data/information user
Id and password will be generated/ created for use in future logins by the candidate.
(v) For subsequent logins, candidates will be able to login directly with their user Id and password.
Candidates should remember to logout at the end of their session so that the details filled by themcannot be
tampered with or modified by unauthorized person.
(vi) Candidates are advised to record/remember their password for future logins and not to disclose or share
their password with anybody.
(vii)It is solely the responsibility of the candidates to verify that their personal data including Category,
Subcategory, Residential Status, gender etc are consistent with documentary evidence.
(viii)If the personal data submitted /entered by the candidates are found to be wrong at the time verification of
certificate either during reporting or at a later stage, the allotment of seat/provisional admission is liable to
be cancelled.
(ix) Candidates should take a print out (hard copy) of the online application form containing the above personal
data for future use.
B. Payment of Registration & Counseling Fee.
(i) All the candidates will be required to deposit processing charges through Netbanking/Credit Card/Debit
Card/UPI .
(ii) Remember you have paid your Registration-cum-Counseling Fee before proceeding for online counseling,
otherwise your allotted seat can be CANCELLED at any stage and candidate would not have any claim on
such allotted seat.

C. Online Choice Filling & Locking


(i) Online choice filling & locking by the candidate can be done as per key dates mentioned in the admission
schedule for Self-Financing Colleges of Education affiliated to this University.
(ii) If the fee is paid by a candidate through intenet banking/credit card/debit card, then the choice filling open
will be activated immediately otherwise the candidate has to wait for next day to get his/her option
activated.
(iii) Candidates are advised to go through the updated list of Colleges of Education affiliated to this University
on the website www.crsu.ac.in and should prepare a list of Colleges in order of preference in which they
are interested in seeking admission.
(iv) Candidates can fill in as much number of choices in order of preference as they wish to Candidates are
allowed to change or re-order their choices, delete earlier choices and add new choices any number of times
until they lock their final choices.
(v) All the candidates must lock their final choices as per key dates mentioned in the admission schedule.
(vi) Candidates will not be able to unlock their choices once they are locked.
(vii) If candidate fail to explicitly lock their choices by the last date, their last saved choices will be
automatically locked and allotment will be done on this basis.
(viii)Candidate must take a print out of their locked choices. This print out has to be signed and submitted at the
time of reporting for admission.
(ix) Registered candidates who do not fill choices or fail to save the same cannot be considered for admission
and seat allotment.

D. Indicative seat Availability (Mock Counseling)


Based on the number of registered candidates who have submitted their choices before the key dates mentioned
in the admission schedule, the system will be able to provide an idea of the seats that candidates may be offered
for M.Ed, M.Ed (Spl. Edu.), M.P.E.S, PGDRP and M.A Education courses in Self Financing Scheme Colleges
only. The indicative seat availability will be displayed on the websites www.crsu.ac.in as per key dates
mentioned in the admission schedule. Candidates are advised to visit the websites www.crsu.ac.in for this
purpose. The final allotment of seat, in the allotment rounds may be different than the indicative seat
availability.

E. Online Seat Allotment


First Counseling
(i) Seats will be allotted in the order of merit and preference/ choices as per admission schedule as mentioned.
The allotment result will be available on the websites www.crsu.ac.in individual allotment letters will not
be sent to the candidates. However, candidates may get a print out of the allotment details from the above
websites.
(ii) Candidates who are allotted seats will have to personally report to the allotted college.
Second Counseling
(i) Seat will be allotted against vacant seats available after the first round of allotment and reporting.
(ii) Registered candidates will not be allowed to alter or resubmit their choices.
(iii) Eligible candidates for allotment against vacant seats fall into one of the following two groups:
Group-I: Candidates who reported at the allotted college after first round of seat allotment and opted for all
the choices of preference higher than the currently allotted seat (auto upgradation) to be considered in the
subsequent round(s).
Group-II: Registered candidates who were not allotted any seats in the first round of seat allotment.
(iv) Candidates who, at any stage, cancel their provisional admission will not be considered for the subsequent
round(s) of counseling. Also, if candidates fail to satisfy the minimum educational
Qualifications prescribed, their allotment of the seat shall automatically stand cancelled and such candidates
will not be considered for the subsequent round(s) of counseling. Candidates opting for auto upgradation
shall automatically forego his/ her claim on the seat previously allotted Similar procedure will be used in the
subsequent round(s) of the seat allotment.

F. Reporting at Allotted College/Institute


(i) The outcome of the different rounds of seat allotment will be displayed on the websites www.crsu.ac.in
(as per admission schedule). Individual allotment letters will not be sent to the candidates by the university.
(ii) All the candidates who get an allotment should take print out of this provisional seat allotment and will
report to the allotted College/Institute as per specified reporting dates for taking admission, failing which
their seat allotment shall stand cancelled. Also, they will not be considered for further rounds of seat
allotment.
(iii)Candidates will produce all the relevant certificates in original including registration and counselling fee
receipt for verification alongwith provisional allotment letter, a signed print out of their online application
form, their locked choices generated from the website at the time of reporting.
(iv)At the time of reporting if documents are found correct on verification and the fee is paid (as mentioned in
the prospectus) by the candidate, then a provisional admission letter generated online will be issued to the
candidate by the concerned college. The candidate shall check all the entries in this provisional admission
letter and should sign it and preserve it for further reference.
(v)At the time of reporting if documents are found correct on verification and candidate opt for auto
upgradation, then a provisional auto up-gradation letter generated online will be issued to the candidate by
the concerned college. The candidate shall check all the entries in this provisional auto up-gradation letter
and should sign it and preserve it for further reference.
(vi) The allotment of their seats is liable to be cancelled, if the personal data viz. Category, Sub-category,
residential status (Bonafide Residents of Haryana orAll India Category), percentage of marks in qualifying
examination, gender etc. submitted by the candidates at the time of registration is found to be wrong at
time of verification of the original certificates at allotted Institutes, But, if the candidate is found to be
eligible after the correction in personal data, the candidate may be considered for subsequent rounds of
counseling, if any, against the vacancies only.
(vii) If a candidate is admitted on the basis of the information submitted by him/ her, which is found to be
incorrect or false at any stage then his/ her admission shall be cancelled and all fees and other dues paid by
him/ her shall be forfeited. The University/ College/ Institute may take further action, as deemed fit,
against the candidate in accordance with law.
(viii)The allotment of the seats to candidates who do not report within the stipulated period to the allotted
College will be cancelled and these candidates will not be considered in the seats allotment in the
subsequent couselings

List of documents to be brought at the time of reporting in the Institute:


The candidates, at the time of reporting must bring the following Original Certificates/Documents/Testimonials
alongwith two sets of duly attested photocopies of these with them.Any candidate, who fails to produce any of
the required Certificate/Document/Testimonial at the time of reporting the institution, will forfeit his/her claim
to admission.
(i) Qualifying Examination i.e. Bachelor Degree and /or Master's Degree or Shastri Degree 3-year (with or
without English)/Acharya Degree two year. The candidate will bring the DMCs of all the years of
Bachelor and Master Degree or Shastri/Acharya Degree.
(ii) Matriculation/ High School Certificate
(iii) 10+2/Intermediate/Senior Secondary School Examination Certificate & Detailed Marks Card.
(iv) Character Certificate:
(a) Regular Candidates: The candidates who have passed their qualifying exam from College/Department as
regular students are required to submit the Character Certificate as perAnnexure-XV.
(b) Private Candidates: Male candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination as private candidates
should submit their Character Certificate, duly signed by a Notary Public.
(c) Gaps in study: Male candidate who have gaps in their academic career after the qualifying exam., must
furnish a gap certificate, in the form of affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper or certificate from the
employer (if in the service) and should also furnish separately the character certificate of gap period duly
attested by Notary Public.
(d) Residents Certificate as per Annexure-XII, if applicable: Candidates, who have passed their qualifying
examination from a University located in the State of Haryana will be deemed to be Haryana residents and
will not be required to submit certificates of bonafide residents of Haryana.
(e) Certificate from the Employer in the case of Employees of Govt. of Haryana, members of All India
Services borne in Haryana Cadre, Employees of Statutory Bodies/Corporations as per Annexure-XIII, if
applicable.
(f) Scheduled Caste Certificate and Deprived Scheduled Casre Certificate as per Annexure-V and VI
respectively, if applicable.
(g) Backward Class Certificate as per Annexure-VII, if applicable and affidavit as perAnnexure-VIII.
(h) Certificate in respect of Persons with Disabilities Candidates as per Annexure-IX, if applicable.
(i) Certificate required to be furnished by the Children & Grand-children of Freedom Fighters as per
Annexure-X, if applicable.
(j) Certificate from Ex-Servicemen of Indian Deference Services or Para-Military Forces-Annexure-XI.

(i) All Original documents, 04 latest passport size photographs and 02 sets of attested photo-copies of all

Instructions regarding Bonafide Residents of Haryana issued vide letter No.62/17/95-6 GSI dated 3rd
October, 1996, No.62/32/2000-6GSI dated 23rd May, 2003, No.62/27/2003-6GSI dated 29th July, 2003
and No.62/62/2011-6GSI dated 17th January, 2012 by the Chief Secretary to Government, Haryana.
Subject: Bonafide residents of Haryana - Guidelines regarding.
1. I am directed to invite your attention to Haryana Govt. letters noted in the margin on the
subject noted above vide which the instructions were issued regarding simplification of
procedure for obtaining the certificate of Domicile for the purpose of admission to
educational institution (including echnical /medical institution). The matter has been
reconsidered in the light of judgment delivered
By the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Dr. Pradeep Jain vs. Union of India
and others reported as AIR 1984-SC-1421, wherein it has been held that instead of the
word 'Domicile' the word 'Resident' be used in the instructions issued by the State
Government and it has been decided to revise the Government instructions. Henceforth, the
following categories of persons would be eligible for the grant of Resident Certificate:-
(I) Candidates, who have passed the examination qualifying there for selection in an
institution from a School/College in Haryana.
(II) Children/Wards (if parents are not living)/Dependents: -
(i) Of the regular employees of Haryana State posted in or outside Haryana State or
working on deputation;
(ii) Of the regular employees of the statutory bodies/corporations established by or
under an act of the State of Haryanawho are posted in Chandigarh or in Haryana or
outside Haryana.
(iii) Of the regular employees of the Government of India posted in Chandigarh or in
Haryana in connection with the affairs of the Haryana Government;
(III) Children/wards (if parents not living)/dependent so persons who after retirement have
permanently settled in Haryana and draw their pensions from the treasuries situated in the
State of Haryana.
(IV) Children/wards (if parents are not living)/dependents of pensioners of Haryana
Government irrespective of the fact that the original home of the retiree is in a state other
than Haryana or he has settled after retirement in or outside Haryana,
(V) Children/Wards (if parents are not living)/dependents of persons, who have permanent
home in Haryana and include persons who have been residing in Haryana for a period of
not less than 15 years or who have permanent home in Haryana but on account of their
occupation they are living outside Haryana;
(VI) The wives of such persons who are bonafide residents of Haryana irrespective of the fact
that they had belonged to any other State before marriage;
(VII) Persons who were born in Haryana and produce a certificate to that effect; provided that
the parents/guardians (if parent sare not living) of persons belonging to anyone of the
above mentioned categories are :
(a) Citizen of India;
(b) Produce an affidavit to the effect that they or their children/wards (if parents are not
living)/ dependents have not obtained the benefit of Resident in any other State.
(VIII) Children & Wards of the accredited journalists residing at Chandigarh and recognized by
Govt. of Haryana.
2. All candidates claiming to be bonafide residents of Haryana should produce a Haryana Resident
Certificate signed by the District Magistrate/GeneralAssistant to Deputy Commissioner or Sub-
Divisional Officer (Civil) of the District/Sub-Divisions/Tehsildars of Revenue to which the
candidates belong. Resident Certificates in respect of elsewhere or in respect of the
Children/Wards/Dependents of Haryana Govt. employees who are posted at Chandigarh, Delhi or
elsewhere or in respect of Children/Wards/Dependents of pensioners of Haryana Govt. or in respect
of the Children/Wards/Department of the employees of the Government of India posted at
Chandigarh or in Haryana in connection with the affairs of Haryana Government, or in respect of
Children/Wards/Dependents of the employees and retirees of the Statutory Bodies/Corporations of
Haryana established by or under an Act of the State of Haryana or a Central Act and located at
Chandigarh, Haryana or outside Haryana, should be bytheir respective Heads of Departments.
3. Candidates seeking admission in educationa linstitutions (in cluding medical and technical
institutions) located in Haryana may not be required to produce Resident Certificate, if they have
passed the examination from a School/College situated in Haryana. For this purpose, a certificate of
the Principal/Headmaster from concerned institution where the children/wards studied last should be
considered sufficient. The Principal/Headmaster of the institution shall be competent to issue such
certificate, which should be sufficient.
4. If a candidate is admitted on the basis of claim that he belongs to the State of Haryana but at any
subsequent time is discovered that his claim was false, the student shall be removed from the
institution, all fees and other dues paid up to the date of such removal shall be confiscated. The
Principal/Headmaster may takesucho the raction against the student and his/her parents/guardians a
she may deem proper in the circumstances of any particular case.
5. The children/wards/dependents of the employees of Punjab & Haryana High Court, who are
discharging their duties in connection with the affairs of the State of Haryana and have not availed
facility from their parent State, the State of Punjab and U.T. Administration Chandigarh, would also
be eligible for grant of Resident Certificate of the State of Haryana only for the purpose of
admission in academic/technical/medical institutions of the State of Haryana. However, in that case
the employees of the Punjab & Haryana High Court shall be entitled to draw this benefit at one
place/State only. Head of the Department of the Punjab & Haryana High Court would be competent
to issue such a certificate.

ANNEXURE-XX
The criteria for Physical Effiency Test (PET) of M.P.E.S is as under:-

Male:
a. Total distance of the Circuit 75 meter. ( Excluding the lengh of long jump Pit & Width of River
Crossing).
b. Long Jump 10 ft.
c. River Crossing 7 times –(6.0 ft width)
d. Vaulting Horse Height 5.0 ft.
e. Forward Roll.
f. Hurdle Height 3.6 ft.
g. Two Buckets of 10 kg each.
h. Timings to complete Circuit 33 sec.

Female:

a. Total distance of the Circuit 75 meter. ( Excluding the lengh of long jump Pit & Width of River
Crossing).
b. Long Jump 8 ft.
c. River Crossing 5 times –(4.0 ft width)
d. Vaulting Horse Height 5.0 ft.
e. Forward Roll.
f. Hurdle Height 2.6 ft.
g. Two Buckets of 5 kg each.
h. Timings to complete Circuit 33 sec.

The description of the placement of obstacles:

1. Distance from Starting Line to Long Jump- 12 m.


2. Distance from Long Jump to River Crossing -10m.
3. Distance from River Crossing to Vaulting Horse -9m.
4. Distance from Vaulting Horse to Front Roll -7m.
5. Distance from Front Roll to Hurdle-15m.
6. Distance from Hurdle to Buckets-10m.
7. Distance from Buckets to Finish Line-12m.
Note:

1. Al the candidates are requested to bring original ID Proof ( Aadhar Card/Driving Licenses/PAN
ard/Voter Card) along with the hard copy of submitted application form with all relevant
documents and two latest colored size photographs at the time of PET.

2. In case of two fouls during the whole circuit the candidate will be treated as fail.
3. In case the candidate complete the circuit without any foul but not within the prescribed duration (
Male – 33sec. & Female- 35 sec.) he/she will be treated as fail.
4. In case of one foul during the whole circuit and the candidate completes the circuit within time limits
(Male-33 sec. & Femail- 35 sec.) he/she will be given second chance. Further in the second
chance/attempt, if he/she commits and foul he/she will be treated disqualified.
5. If a candidate skips any station during the circuit he/she will treated disqualified.
6. If any obstacles brakes during the course of the circuit, fresh chance will be given to the candidate.
7. The decision of obstacle judge will be final.
8. Any misbehavior/misconduct by the candidate before/during/after the PET test will be treated as
disqualified for the PET.
9. Only the candidates who are appearing for the PET will be allowed to enter the PET Hall with their
Roll NO.
10. The candidates appearing for the PET must wear proper sports kit, otherwise he/she will be allowed
for the test.
11. The result of PET will be declared on the spot.

Note: Married female selected candidates will have to submit a certificate from RMO/MO of the
University Health Centre that she is not in family way, along with an undertaking that if during the
course of study, it is found that she is in family way, her admission would be liable to be cancelled
IPSO-FACTO and all dues paid by her shall be forfeited.
