WHY HAVEN'T YOU STARTED ALREADY?
I Know how frustrating it is to know that you're meant to do something BIG in life, but you're
unable to find what.
Over the years, I've personally also struggled with this issue.
being unsure of what I wanted to do, I regularly dealt with misery, self doubt, and
frustration in equal proportions.
Therefore, I know what you're going through. And, I also know that you can easily get out
of this. It's really just about getting your thoughts organised and structured.
So, there are 3 main reasons why you've not started your side-hustle just yet:
1. You lack a good idea:
The most common reason that people quote is this.
2.You have too many ideas:
Believe it or not, many people struggle with this too!
3.You don't know how to start:
This is when you know what, but you're unsure of the how.
Be honest - you must be one of these 3 people. There really isn't a 4th possibility.
Okay, with that out of the way, it's now time for some REAL TALK.
By using this book, and by going through our modules, you will find the right business idea
for you.
But can I be honest? Having an idea is not even half the work done. There really are no
million dollar ideas - just million dollar execution. Even if you find the right idea, it's really all
about what you do with that idea.
So yes, while some of the exercises that we'll do together will help you find your idea,
doing just that will really not be enough. You will have to work HARD - really HARD to
make that idea a reality. Becoming your own boss, being a business- owner, quitting the
9-5 cycle - all these things sound really fun and glam, but they're really not.
Truth be told - entrepreneurs are people who quit an 8 hour job to work 24 hours instead.

KNOW YOUR 'WHY'
Can I tell you something whacky? It's usually a bad idea to start a hustle just for the
money. Before you roll your eyes, hear me out -
Starting a business or a side hustle is a lot of work. It can drain you - both physically and
mentally. In the early days, when you just start, it's mostly just grunt work - stuff that you'd
never want to do. But, it takes what it takes. And, to top it all, your business pays peanuts in
the beginning. In fact, there could be instances where you lose money because you have
to invest more than you can make, Hence, if money is your only motivation, it won't last.
You will quit sooner than you'll see results.
So, what should be the reasons for starting a business?
1. You see a problem worth solving:
If you see a problem that's worth solving, that's the BEST reason to start a business.
You will be driven to work till you solve the problem, and you'll make some REAL money
in that process too.
2.You want to make a difference in people's life:
This is another GREAT reason to start a business. If you find joy in helping people, if you
find some real happiness in making other happy, you will not only be a good business
person, you also become a business that makes money ethically.
Now, please don't get me wrong here. I don't by any means mean that money should not
be a reason to start your business. In fact, the whole point of a business unit is to make
profits. therefore, it'll be foolish of me to say that money should be a concern.
I simple mean that money should not be your only concern. As long as there is a larger
goal that you're chasing, your business will survive in the long run and you'll see some
good results with it.

BUSINESS MODELS TO CONSIDER
Okay. Time to get serious about things.
What are the different kinds of businesses that you can start? Ideally, there are 3
categories:
Large Business Units:
There are ideas like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Swiggy where they focus a LOT
of scale and aim for world domination.
Small and Medium Sized Units:
These are small business - usually under 50 employees making less than USD 50 million
per annum.
Micro Units:
Micro business units are usually one man/women show types of businesses such as
freelancing, content creation, etc. Sometimes, they may even have upto 10 employees,
but they are mainly run on the name of 1 person.
Now, is there a right or wrong option to pick among these three? No. You need to pick
what works best for you, and aligns best with your vision. Just because you don't want to
create the next Amazon should not stop you from starting out as a small freelancer. You
start a business where you think you'll be the happiest.
Now, let's dive in and have a look at the most common types of business models.
Personal One-To One Businesses:
These are businesses where you work one on one with a client. Examples: Virtual
Assistance, Content Writing, Personal Shopping, etc.
Product Based Business:
These are businesses where you seal real, physical products to people. You can sell
them using the regular brick and mortar model, or you can sell them online using
e-commerce platforms. Example: Jewellery Store, Craft Store, etc.
Info-Businesses:
These are business where the primary goal is to share content, knowledge, and
information. Some examples of these business would be Online Courses, Youtube
Channels, Blogging, Online Tutoring, etc.
Subscription Business:
These are businesses where you pay a monthly fee to the owners in order to use their
services on a regular basis. Example: Subscription Boxes, Apps, Website Platforms, etc.
Re-selling Business:
In these businesses, you don't sell your own product, but you re-sell others products for
a small commission. Example: Affiliate Marketing, Amway, etc.
