Refund Policy: (Programs without prep-session component)
1. Students must pay an applicable caution money for the enrollment to the Program.
This caution money will be adjustable against the total Program fee payable by the
student.
2. Once the student has made a partial or full payment of Program fee, such student can
claim a refund for this amount 10 days prior to the batch launch date by raising a
refund request through ‘My applications’ page on our website (www.upgrad.com),
stating the specific reason for the refund. The refund shall be subject to deduction of Rs.

students shall not be eligible for any refund in such case.

Deferral Policy: (Pre- Program Commencement)

cohort and requests for a deferral 10 days prior to the batch launch, we provide the
opportunity for the student to defer to another cohort.
2. To do so, the student will be required to pay 50% of the total Program fee amount
(inclusive of taxes) before the deferral can be approved. Till this is completed, the
student will be assumed to be continuing in the same cohort.
3. A student can request for a deferral to the cohort starting in the next 4 months from
the start date of the initial batch in which the student was originally enrolled for. For
the first deferral request, subject to point #2 of the Pre-Program Deferral Policy, no
additional charges shall be levied.
4. If a student wants to defer his enrolment second time, such student will have to
make an additional payment of Rs.10,000 as Deferral fee, and this amount shall be
non-refundable under any circumstances. Once this payment is done, students will be
eligible to defer to any of the cohort starting in the next 4 months from the current
cohort.
5. The student has time till 10 days prior to the current cohort launch date to make
the payment of the balance 50% Program fee, post which the deferral request will
expire. Once the deferral window expires and if such a student wants to withdraw his
or her enrolment from the said Program, the refund policy will be applicable.
6. The student shall be liable to pay the differential Program fees between the two
cohorts if any.
Deferral Policy: (Post Program Commencement)
1. There is no post program deferral policy, if a student wishes to defer, they will
withdraw from the course and receive a fail grade. When a deferral (or withdrawal)
occurs, a student is required to join a new cohort at the start of the course and
undertake the course as new.
2. The amount paid by the student in the form of fees would be forfeited.
