PROGRAM DESIGN
GENERAL INFORMATION
Program Title: BUILDING BRIDGES, ADDRESSING THE GAPS
Learning and development programs like this InSET are competency
and capability building initiative that aims for teachers’ holistic
development. Having this kind of learning opportunity is also an
avenue for teachers and other school personnel to assess and
evaluate their contribution not only in the improvement of the school
but more importantly, in providing quality education to the learners.
The conduct of this five- day Mid- Year InSET is a crucial means
that provide inputs for continued professional growth and evaluation
of the school’s educational projects and programs.
At the end of this five- day formal face- to- face training and
workshop, the teachers will be able to:
1. conduct performance mid- year review of the school’s
progress in the implementation of Education Program,
Projects and Activities (PPAs);
2. prepare instructional materials and assessment tools aligned
with the learning competencies;
3. discuss approaches pertinent to reading enhancement and
intervention; and
4. be equipped with new teaching strategies and techniques in
delivering lessons.
It is expected that after this training, each teacher-participant will
apply the knowledge gained in the workplace with coaching and
supervision of the School Head. Eventually, certification of training
is provided after completion of the training.

Delivery Mode: The five-day teachers’ training program will be delivered by
Teacher-trainers who would have been trained and participated in
the previous Division-wide Training-Workshops.
Discussion and collaboration among the participants are needed to a
fruitful realization of the learning objectives of this training.

Monitoring and Evaluation:
The implementation of the In-Service Training will undergo Monitoring and
Evaluation. The said training will follow standard health protocols in order to ensure the
safety of the teacher-participants.
The impact of the training to the teacher participants will be monitored and assessed
by the immediate supervisors including the Teacher- In- Charge. This is to evaluate
whether the trainees will apply what they have learned and will perform their duties,
product-based teaching and learning experiences in order to realize this training’s
objectives.
