ALFAJOR
A popular sweet treat consisting of two cookies
sandwiched together with dulce de leche (caramel)
and often coated in chocolate, powdered sugar, or
coconut flakes.
MATE
A traditional South American drink, particularly popular in
Argentina, prepared by steeping dried leaves of the yerba
mate plant. It's often enjoyed socially, with friends passing
around a hollowed-out gourd and sipping the tea-like
infusion through a metal straw called a bombilla.
FACTURAS
Sweet pastries that come in various shapes and flavors, often
enjoyed for breakfast or as a snack. They can include
medialunas (croissants), bolas de fraile (fried dough balls),
and more.
PASTELITOS:
Small, sweet pastries filled with quince jam, sweet potato,
