Recruitment of Trainee Officers & Assistanta Rajbhasha Officer through UGC NET
Dec-2023 and CLAT (PG)-2024 score

records to join the organization as Trainee Officers (HR/PR/Law) (at E-2 level) and Assistant Rajbhasha Officer
(at E-1 level) through UGC-NET, December 2023 and CLAT (PG)-2024 score examination

The induction will take place in the pay scale of ₹ 50,000 - 1, 60,000/- (for E-2 Grade) and ₹ 40,000 -
1,40,000/- (for E-1 Grade) with an increment of 3% per annum. Besides Basic Pay, the employee is entitled
to allowances @ 35% of Basic Pay under Cafeteria Approach, Dearness Allowance, HRA/ Company
Accommodation, Contributory Provident Fund, Conveyance Maintenance, Substantial Performance Related
Pay (PRP), Medical Facility for self and dependents, Gratuity, Post Retirement Benefit Schemes as per
Company rules.
The recruitment to the posts of Trainee Officer (HR), Trainee Officer (PR), Trainee Officer (Law) and Assistant
Rajbhasha Officer will be based on the marks obtained in the UGC-NET December 2023 and CLAT (PG)-2024
score and other selection methods which will be notified in the detailed advertisement which will issued
after declaration of result of UGC-NET exam of December 2023 and CLAT (PG)-2024 examination. Therefore,
interested candidates must apply and appear for the UGC-NET exam of December 2023 and CLAT (PG)-2024
examination.

2. Utilization of Score of UGC-NET December 2023 examination and CLAT (PG)-2024 examination:
a.) UGC – NET, December 2023/ CLAT(PG)-2024 score of the relevant subjects will be taken into
consideration for the purpose of selection alongwith other mode of selection criteria to be notified in
detailed advertisement. Scores from previous UGC – NET examination/ CLAT(PG) will not be valid for the
existing recruitment exercise. The desirous candidates applying for the posts in NHPC should qualify in their
respective subjects in UGC – NET, December 2023/ CLAT (PG)-2024 exam. The post wise relevant subjects
are mapped as follows:

b.) The eligibility criteria (age, qualification and minimum percentage of marks) for applying to UGC - NET,
December 2023/ CLAT (PG)-2024 exam may be different than that of NHPC Limited but for this recruitment
exercise the age, qualification criteria etc. of NHPC Limited will prevail.
Note:
i.) The courses offered by Institutes / Universities through the regular mode should be approved / recognized
by the relevant statutory bodies for employment to posts and services under the Central Government like
Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/ UGC/ AICTE etc.
ii.) Calculation of percentage of marks in the qualifying degree will be as per University / Institution rules
iii.) Wherever CGPA/ OGPA/ CPI/ DGPA or letter grade in degree is awarded, equivalent % of marks will be
considered as per norms adopted by concerned University/ Institute. If University/ Institute does not have
the provision for conversion of CGPA/ OGPA/ CPI/ DGPA or letter grade into percentage then the
equivalence will be established by dividing the candidate’s relative grade with maximum possible
corresponding scale and multiplying the result with 100.
iv.) Age and other relaxations for reserved category and PwBD category shall be as per the Govt. guidelines.
3. Important Note :
i. Eligible and desirous candidates meeting age and minimum eligibility criteria of NHPC enumerated above
will be required to appear in UGC-NET December 2023 / CLAT(PG)-2024 examination.
ii. Candidates will be considered on the basis of UGC-NET December 2023 / CLAT(PG)-2024 score and as per
the selection criteria and mode decided by the NHPC Management for further selection process subject to
their meeting the eligibility criteria with regard to age, qualification etc.

v. NHPC will publish detailed advertisement with vacancy for each post, eligibility, selection criteria etc to
invite applications from eligible candidates who have appeared & qualified in the UGC-NET December 2023
examination and CLAT(PG)-2024 examination separately . The exact date and period of Go Live of online
application registration site will be intimated by a notification on the website of NHPC (www.nhpcindia.com)
after declaration of result of UGC-NET December 2023 / CLAT(PG)-2024 examination. Candidates are
required to visit www.nhpcindia.com regularly to get updates.
vi.) NHPC reserves the right to cancel/modify/restrict/enlarge/alter the above recruitment process, without
issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereof.

5. General Instructions:
a. All the candidates must ful fill the essential requirements of the post and other conditions stipulated in the
advertisement.
b. Candidates are advised to go through the detailed instructions for UGC-NET December 2023 examination
and CLAT (PG)-2024 examination and the detailed advertisement of NHPC very carefully. On few of the
parameters like the cut-off date for maximum age, relaxation in age extended to PWBD category candidates
etc., the criteria of UGC-NET/ CLAT and NHPC are not the same. The eligibility of candidates taking the UGC-
NET December 2023/ CLAT (PG)-2024 examination for recruitment in NHPC will be governed by the
eligibility criteria of NHPC.
c. Disputes, if any, are subject to Competent Court of Faridabad/ Hon’ble high Court of Punjab & Haryana at
Chandigarh shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
