Our tacks this year with simple definitions about every track
NOTE THAT: the definition does not show the content or the instructor's ideas, it’s just for defining the
meaning of every track
1. Human Resources (HR)
The division of a business that is charged with finding, screening, recruiting, and training job
applicants, as well as administering employee-benefit programs. HR plays a key role in helping
companies deal with a fast-changing business environment and a greater demand for quality
employees in the 21st century.
2. Business writing (PR)
A professional communication tool (also known as business communication or professional
writing) corporations and other professional entities use to communicate with either an internal or
external audience. Memorandums, reports, proposals, emails, and a variety of other business-
related written materials are all forms of business writing.
3. Graphic design
“The art and practice of planning and projecting ideas and experiences with visual and textual
content.” In other terms, the graphic design visually communicates certain ideas or messages.
These visuals can be as simple as a business logo, or as complex as page layouts on a website.
4. Digital marketing
Also called online marketing, is the promotion of brands to connect with potential customers
using the internet and other forms of digital communication. This includes not only email, social
media, and web-based advertising, but also text and multimedia messages as a marketing channel.
Essentially, if a marketing campaign involves digital communication, it's a digital marketing
5. Business development (BD)
Business development (BD) is essentially any activity or idea that aims to make a business better
over time.
This means making use of customers, implementing strategic partnerships, using your markets,
and building your company's reputation.

6. Train Of the Trainers (TOT)
Train-the-Trainer is a framework for training potential instructors or subject matter experts to
enable them to train other people in their organizations.
7. Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is the act of creating a business or business while building and scaling it to
generate a profit.
8. Supply chain & logistics
Involves collaboration between firms to connect suppliers, customers, and other partners as a
means of boosting efficiency and producing value for the end consumer. The textbook considers
supply chain management activities as strategic decisions and sets up “the operational framework
within which logistics is performed.”
9. Event management
Event management includes a variety of functions for executing large-scale events, which might
include conferences, conventions, concerts, trade shows, festivals, and ceremonies. It involves
handling the overall logistics of the event, working with staff, and conducting project
management of the event.
Additional duties might include managing the budget and the teams of people responsible for
each function, as well as overseeing the execution of the event. Event managers also supervise the
services of all outside vendors and professionals, including event planners.
10. Project management
Project management is the use of specific knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to deliver
something of value to people. The development of software for an improved business process, the
construction of a building, the relief effort after a natural disaster, the expansion of sales into a
new geographic market—are all examples of projects.
