I. PC direct to Ethernet through USB-C connector

To connect your WAVE to a PC, the user will need an ethernet cable and a USB-
C adapter (included on WAVE’s case – see picture below).

Connect the adapter to the Wave and switch on. Plug an ethernet cable into
the adapter. In the home page, go to Settings and then Network. This step may
take a couple of minutes until the Wave gets an IP address. For further details
on each of these previous steps, find images on page 3. Once the connection
is done and an IP address is associated to the instrument, you are ready to
transfer files, applications and images between the instrument and computer.

II PC Mobile Hotspot

Connect the Wave to a network by using the ‘PC Mobile Hotspot’ feature.
Notice: Not all computers will have this feature.

Your computer must be connected to a stable network. Once connected to a

network, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile Hotspot (see images
below). On the Mobile Hotspot page, activate the option ‘Share my internet
connection to other devices’ (On). Once selected, your computer will create a
private network that’s able to connect to the instrument.

Now, return to the Wave and open settings, then network. Before continuing,
please make sure Wi-Fi is activated. The Wave will list all the Wi-Fi networks
available on its range, find and select the network name you set in the previous
step and enter your password. Once connection has been established the
instrument will be listed under connected devices on your computer.

Open settings on the Wave’s home screen. Select Network settings and check
if Wi-Fi is activated. If Wi-Fi is not activated, slide the icon to the right position
to enable the feature. The Wave will list all the Wi-Fi networks available on its
range. Select the network name that corresponds to the network set in the
previous step and type the password. See the pictures below for further

To make sure the instrument is connected to the network, an IP address must

be assigned to the instrument in the end of this procedure

IV To an Ethernet local network

Connect the USB-C network adapter (RJ45) to the USB-C connector on the
Wave (up left side). Once the connector is attached to the instrument, connect
a network cable to the RJ45 connector. A light will start to flash on the side of
the connector while the instrument is trying to join a network.

Now, while the connector is flashing, go to Settings on the Wave home screen
(up right corner) and then to Network. Wi-Fi must be disabled and an IP
address assigned to the instrument. See picture below.
