History of the Big Five (the OCEAN Model)
Personality refers to an individual's distinct way of thinking,
feeling, and acting. These patterns are usually persistent over
time.
Openness
After decades of research on personality, the general taxonomy
of personality traits emerged in 1980s, i.e., the Big Five
personality dimensions, also known as the “Big Five” or the
Neuroticism Conscientiousness
‘OCEAN Model’ - Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion,
Agreeableness & Neuroticism. Personality
These dimensions are highly broad in nature. Each of the
dimensions encapsulates a wide range of distinct, more
specific personality traits.
Agreeableness Extraversion
While there is no single instrument that represents the gold
standard of Personality measurement, Costa and McCrae's
NEO-PI is the most comprehensive measure (1985), which is
also the base for the TTPI Instrument.

TTPI Instrument Overview
TTPI is a self-rated assessment designed as an ipsative (forced-choice) questionnaire. It takes about 15-20 minutes to
complete the TTPI assessment.
The participant is presented with 120 statements – divided in 30 sets. Each set contains four statements. For each set, the
participant is required to choose which statement is the most true for them and which statement is the least true for them.
They must choose ‘one most’ and ‘one least’ in every set even if, in some cases, there is not a very strong preference.
Upon completion of the assessment, the individual report can be accessed by the participant, the coach or the HR
manager immediately.
