Lesson Plan in English V

I. Objective
At the end of the lesson the pupils are expected to:
1. Distinguish among various types of viewing materials. EN5VC-ld-6.
II. Subject Matter

Powerpoint, strips, chart, pictures
III. Procedure
A. Preparation
The teacher will establish the classroom rules before starting the lesson.
B. Motivation
The teacher will view some pictures and movie clips.

Let pupils identify the picture and say something about it.
C. Presentation
This afternoon we are going to learn among various types of viewing materials.
D. Discussing the new concepts and practicing new skills
The teacher will show various types of viewing materials.Viewing Materials- are materials
which contain information that can be viewed and require an ability to interpret the meaning of
visual images.

 Non - Print Viewing Materials
Examples of Print Viewing Material
1. MAGAZINES. A type of large thin book with a paper cover that you can buy every week or month,
containing articles, photographs often on a particular topic.
2. NEWSPAPER. Is a publication that is issued daily or weekly that includes local and international news,
stories, advertisement, announcements, opinions, cartoons, sports news and listing.
Examples of Print Viewing Material
1. VIDEOS. These refer to recordings of moving visual images made
digitally or on videotape. You can watch videos on TV, at the cinema,on a computer,
or even on your own mobile phone.
2. MOVIES. These refer to recordings of moving pictures that tell a story and present
characters, whether real or imaginary. Movies can now be watched on screen, on
television, and on the phone.
3. NEWS REPORTS. These refer to various news events and other information that
are presented via television or through the internet.
4. DOCUMENTARIES. These are films or videos examining an event or person
based on facts. Documentaries are TV reports that contain interviews with people
involved in real events.
5. WEBINARS. These are interactive online events where speakers or small groups of
speakers deliver a presentation to a large audience who participates by submitting
questions, responding to polls, and using other available interactive tools.

Viewing Materials- are materials which contain information that can be viewed and require
an ability to interpret the meaning of visual images.
