Blender for dental training teaching material

IBAR

Movement in blender > rotate on the mouse


scroll axis move the mesh mouse scroll + shift
To import the mesh that will be made into the bar, you
must follow the steps in the figure above.

After importing the mesh, we must orient it, clicking


on the model module in the tab on the right side of the
program, with the model module open, we must select the
secondary module, ALIGNING TO CENTER.

1- With this module selected, we must mark the


model's orientation, following the steps below.
2- right-click + shift (this command marks where we
will define a function)
3- Click with the P key
4- Now let's make a copy of the selection, to do this
we must move the mouse cursor where we want to make a
new mark and click with the right mouse button + Shift,
then Shift + D, and click with the left button to define the
mark.
You must do it in 4 points as in the figure below.

After marking the orientation, we must click on


ALIGN, as in the figure.
Click on the Z axis, on the upper right side, if the
alignment is correct, the occlusal part of the piece must be
facing the operator.

IBAR MODULE
After orienting the mesh, we must move on to the IBAR
module, the first secondary module of this module is the
IBAR MODULE, in this we will just activate the hybrid
module, clicking on the START AND NAME HIBRID
button.

If the piece changes color as in the photo, it means we


can move on to the next secondary module.
TUBES AND CONES

In this module, we will create the protection tubes,


protect the screw channel, screw stop and connection with
the implant.
Position the mesh to make the screw channel as
parallel as possible.

After positioning, right-click + shift, we will change


the selection to the location we want, right after clicking the
MAKE TUBES button.
After creating the protection tube, we must move it to
leave only a small part at the bottom of our piece, so that
when creating the bubbles, one does not interfere with the
other.
We must repeat this operation on all implants.

The next step is to edit these tubes, we must click on


the EDIT TUBES button.
In the tube editing part we will edit the middle part and
the bottom part.

In the middle part, we will bring the blue dot very close
to the screw stop, always using the blue arrow, so as not to
change the protection axis
At the bottom, we will click on the blue dot and then
Ctrl + A, leave a space between the blue dot and the mouse
cursor, after this command, create the protection bubble
until the connection between the part and the implant is
protected.
Repeat this operation on all implants, after doing so on
all implants, click on EDIT TUBES to exit editing.

Next step, click on the MAKE CONES button, to


create the lower protection cone.
The next button is to activate the protective mask by
clicking on CREATE MASK.
DRAW BASIC DESIGN

In the next module, we will draw the bar, by clicking


with the right mouse button and SHIFT, in the place where
we draw, start drawing the bar, right after clicking on
EXTRUDE, then we can click and draw the bar, when we
get close To finish the drawing, we cannot close it with a
double click, we must click on the FUSE button to close the
drawing.
Next step click on the MAKE BASIC button

DESIGN, the figure below will appear, then we will do the


initial extraction of the bar, detail the part must be with the
occlusion facing the operator, and then click the button

EXTRUDE DESIGN.

After clicking on EXTRUDE, we can angle or move


the size of the bar, to angle it we must press the R key.
The next step in this secondary module is to give the
bar more passivity, moving the top of it.
With these buttons we can angle the top of the bar and
also the height of the bar.

CREATE CUTTER
In this module we will just create the cutting knife for our
bar by clicking on the button REMESH DESIGN INTO
CUTTER

ADD SAFETY ZONE

In this module we will create the safety zone for the


material that the protocol will be made by clicking on the
ADD SAFETY ZONE button and ACCEPT.
And to finish this module, click on CORRECT
THICKNESS OF HIBRID.

SEPARATE HYBRID

In this last module we will define the cementation


space by clicking on ADJUST CEMENT and finally, on
SEPARATE HIBRID.
To save the project, we must leave one of the parts visible,
go to export, click on the selected object and save.
