 His name is Mario Vargas Llosa. He is a


famous Peruvian writer.
He is 85 years old.

Born in Arequipa on march 28, 1936


He was a cheerful person of not very tall
stature who liked to write
 He was an advocate of liberal ideas ,
and candidate for the presidency of
Peru by FREDEMO.
 His parents are: Ernesto Vargas Llosa
Maldonado and Dora Llosa Ureta.
 His secondary studied at the Leoncio
Prado Military school of Callao.
 He married at 19 years of age, Julia
Urquidi , who was ten years older than
He.
Years later married with his cousin
Patricia Llosa with who he had three
children Alvaro, Gonzalo and Margona
Llosa.
 He had numerous awards:

1. Prince of Asturias prize for letters


in 1986
2. Nobel prize for literature in

3. Cervantes Prize in 1994.
4. Planet Prize in 1993.
5. Biblioteca Breve Prize in 1963.
