PRACTICAL CONNECTION ASSIGNMENT 2

In this course, the information and knowledge I gained are important for my both

personal and career growth. The first thing I have learned is basics and foundations of the

Analyzing and Visualizing Data in the organization. This course made me comprehend the

significance of IT in the organization along with Business. Especially, from Analyzing Data part

I have learnt to differentiate the misleading information and passing the information to the

authorized individuals as I work in Health care industry where information is sensitive. I have

slowly started implementing these ideas in my workplace and could find some difference in the

progress of the work.

From Brief formatting I have learned planning and execution of the strategy for a new

project to be successful and in our new PIFORT reporting project I have decided to plan each day

as each point and gave points depending on the tasks assigned to me and with the beforehand

planning I can say work got lot easier without any pressure and delivered on time. I have learned

some valuable points like graphical visualization of the data. In the meetings with Business I had

a better understanding of their data and comparisons of the insurance claim with past years and

had a basic understanding of the how the Business functions hand in hand with IT.

The most important and my favorite part is the security policies for the transfer of the

data between the Business and IT. To be honest, the relations between IT and Business in our

organization is not that great on these security policies and both teams do not respect each other

efforts for the growth of the organization and had some heated arguments in the meetings with

them. Now, I kind of changed my mind set regarding the Business people and may be start

appreciating their effort and will try to explain the security issues and make sure to apply

password protected policy for the transfer of the data between the two teams.

PRACTICAL CONNECTION ASSIGNMENT 3

Another area is about the “R” Programming, the importance of the R Programming is

such that it changed the way that I analyze and visualize the data. As “R” is an open tool it is

helping me to analyze the data with the graphs and was able to get a clear picture of the data. In

the latest CSBD project, I had to analyze the recovery and prevention claims data for the

reporting purpose. The use of “R” studio and study of the different perspectives of the data

representation made my life easier as I have to deal with the guys with less experience and make

them understand the requirement was quite challenging but working as a team gave a complete

satisfaction on my side and I had a transparent process while addressing data issues. Now I have

adjusted my schedule so that I could touch base with the team on daily basis which helped the

team to improve the pace of the work and it would help us in validating the data analysis before

deploying the project.

I conclude that all the information I have learned from the course would be useful for my

ongoing and future projects to implement for the better results.
