SILICON EPOXY CERAMIC BASED FIRE RETARDANT GI DUCT & STEEL COATING
Fire Retardant Silicon Epoxy ceramic Based GI Duct & Steel coating are vital to
ensure the safety and fire resistance of all type of GI Duct & Steel surfaces, it’s also
essential to meet Indian and British safety standards, when it comes to fire
regulations for domestic and commercial buildings. Fire Retardant Silicon Epoxy GI
Duct & steel coating contains selected mineral fillers in a low permeability
elastomeric binder to a nominal thickness of 500-600 microns to give a finished to
GI Duct & steel , Fire rated paint can be the difference between people surviving a
fire or not being able to evacuate in time, as it gives a time delay between a fire
starting and spreading.
This coating can stand for 2 Hours in case of fire , this coating is as per CBRI BS 476 part 6,7 & 24

As Per International standards All ventilation GI Duct are Require to stand against Fire For 2 hr At 250*C
It is one step system, consist of silicon epoxy based fire Retardant, anti-corrosive, thermal
insulator coat. In case of normal fire Retardant properties, it require, only one coat, however to
increase time duration , multi-layer of coatings are important , they can stand for more time in
case of fire .

Application Process - Clean the surface , it should be dust, Rust , Oil free, than apply
coat of fire Retardant solvent based , all in regular 4-6 hr. interval.
Storage - Upto 12 months as long as the sealed containers are kept under cover in a dry
place under normal temperature conditions.
USES- All type of GI Ducting, air conditioning, ventilation , pressure GI Ducts , Steel structure ,
stairs etc. For Commercial and Residential applications along with ships, boats etc For Interior and
Exterior Use.
APPLICATION--
Brush / Roller: Apply without thinning. If required during application add maximum up to
5% FR thinner in F R coat
NOTE:-
1. The mixed Silicon epoxy based coating should be used within the stipulated pot
life period.
2. Don't apply when temperature falls below 2°C or rises above 50°C and when
relative humidity rises above 90%.
3. Do not apply during rain, fog or mist.
4. To avoid any undue damage to the Paint and Spray equipment’s clean them with
thinner.
5. No Inflammable activity should be carried out when application of coat is under
process.
