1) Make sure the main breakers and “PUSH ON-OFF switch “are in the OFF.
1. Close the AC Output Breaker, DC Input Breaker, Bypass Input Breaker, and AC Input
Breaker of each UPS. Press “PUSH ON-OFF switch” (SW4) to the position “ON”. The
LED of “Input LED ” and “Bypass LED ” should light up simultaneously. “LCD

5. Re-supply AC utility power, “Input LED ” will light up again, then the initial start
up procedure is completed.
6. After connecting the load to UPS, press the LCD display control switch to transfer
to the load percent display. If the value is over 100%, it means that the UPS is
overload. Please reduce the load capacity to the display load percent value is below
90%.

5.2 The Operation of the Maintenance Bypass Breaker (SW6)
Only for the UPS who matching the maintenance bypass breaker.
Only when the UPS need to be repaired or maintained, the Maintenance Bypass
breaker can be closed. Please follow the operation procedure listed below.
1. Press “PUSH ON-OFF Switch (SW4)” to turn off the inverter, then the load is
Now the electric power doesn’t exist in the UPS except the terminals, the maintenance
can be carried out safely. When the UPS maintenance is complete, then the load
resumes power via inverter. Please follow the operation procedure listed below.
6. Press “PUSH ON-OFF Switch (SW4)” to turn on the inverter, then the load is
Warning: Don’t close the Maintenance Bypass Breaker when UPS is normal operating.

5.3 Maintenance
1. If the users interrupting one UPS unit of parallel redundant system for maintenance,
without stopping the power supply to the load, please follow the steps below.
① Under the Normal Operation Mode, Press “PUSH ON-OFF Switch” of each UPS to
④ Remove the input cable, output cable, battery cable, ground connection and DB9
Now the user can carry out the safe maintenance work.
Warning: It's strictly forbidden to parallel the units without DB9 communication
cable connected.
2. After finishing the maintenance work, the parallel redundant system can resume
running under the normal operation mode without interrupting the AC output by
① Connect the input cable, output cable, battery cable, ground connection and DB9
② Close AC Output Breaker, DC Input Breaker, Bypass Input Breaker and AC Input
25
③ Set each UPS units in parallel position.
④ Press “PUSH ON-OFF Switch” of each UPS to set the parallel redundant system
26
6. OPERATION MODES OF THE UPS
Under the normal operation mode, the AC output power comes from AC utility input
and passes through AC/DC rectifier; DC/AC inverter and static transfer switch to supply
27
6.2.2 Static Bypass Mode
When the inverter is under the abnormal conditions, such as over temperature, short
circuit or overloaded and exceed the inverter’s limit, the UPS will automatically switch
to bypass mode. The load is supplied by standby source via bypass without any
interruption.
When the AC utility power or the rectifier fails, the battery system immediately feed the
inverter instead of the rectifier. During this course, the output will continue to supply
the load without any interruption. Therefore, the load connected to the output is
protected.
28
6.2.4 Maintenance Bypass Mode
Only for the UPS who matching the maintenance bypass breaker.
During the maintenance and repair work, the user can switch the UPS to operate under
the “Maintenance Bypass Mode”. The AC output will not be interrupted during the
switch procedure. And the maintenance bypass loop can insure the continuously power
A hot-standby UPS system basically consists of two (or more) single UPS units which
operate independently of each other. Any one unit can be feeding the load at any time.
All units are continuously in operation; but only one is supplying the load, but only
In case of a failure in the unit currently supplying the load, another unit is ready to
take over the load without an interruption on the output side. The load is still
The load is supplied by the static bypass, only if there is no inverter ready in the

6.4 Parallel Redundant System (Option)
N + X is the most reliable power supply structure, N on behalf of the total UPS load
minimum required number, X represents the number of redundant UPS, that is, the
system can withstand the failure at the same time the number of UPS. N + X is the best
way to the use of high reliability for the occasion. This ensures clean and conditioned
power supply to the connected load even during the failure of any one UPS unit. The
electronic parallel operation device integrated in each individual standard unit ensures
uniform distribution of the connected load to the individual units at any time and
Parallel redundant system uses the advanced mode, and has more reliability and
stability
Two host units will be distributed 50% of the connected load under the normal
operation mode.
The users can first start-up any one of the two units without any complicated
The UPS has intelligence procedure; therefore any operational mistake made by the
