Science Argumentative Essay Topics

Crafting an essay on the subject of "Science Argumentative Essay Topics" can be both challenging
and intellectually stimulating. The difficulty lies not only in presenting a well-researched and
coherent argument but also in selecting a topic that is both engaging and allows for a thorough
exploration of scientific concepts.

To begin with, one must delve into the vast realm of scientific knowledge to identify a topic that
sparks interest and controversy. This involves sifting through various branches of science, from
physics and chemistry to biology and environmental science. The challenge is to find a topic that not
only aligns with personal interests but also resonates with a broader audience.

Once a suitable topic is chosen, the essay demands a meticulous examination of existing literature
and research. This involves navigating through scientific journals, articles, and scholarly publications
to gather relevant and up-to-date information. The writer must critically evaluate the credibility of
sources, ensuring that the information presented is accurate and supported by reliable evidence.

The process of constructing a persuasive argument further adds to the complexity. It requires the
synthesis of scientific data, logical reasoning, and effective communication skills. Striking a balance
between technical detail and accessibility for a non-specialist audience is essential. The writer must
carefully structure the essay, presenting a clear introduction, a well-developed body, and a
compelling conclusion.

Additionally, addressing counterarguments and potential objections adds another layer of complexity
to the task. A successful science argumentative essay acknowledges opposing viewpoints and
provides a robust defense of the chosen stance. This requires the ability to anticipate and counter
potential challenges, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.

In conclusion, writing an essay on "Science Argumentative Essay Topics" demands a combination of

research skills, critical thinking, and effective communication. It is a challenging yet rewarding
process that not only enhances one's understanding of scientific concepts but also hones one's ability

My Experience With A Bicycle
I was seven years old, playing on my chalk board in my room when my dad came in and
told me he had a surprise for me outside. Baffled and excited as to what it could be I
wasted no time and ran outside. Was it an animal? A toy jeep? Or even a bicycle
maybe? I had no idea. I got outside and I did not see anything. What is it daddy?! He
just smiled and went around the corner. My mom came outside smiling as well. I was
bursting with anticipation and wonder; I could not wait to see what it was. Finally, he
came around the corner. A bicycle!! I screamed. He said no, a dirt bike! Confused to why
it looked like a bicycle and why it had training wheels I wondered why he called it that. I
had never even heard of the word dirt bike at seven... Show more content on

I got up and tried again. I got better and better and I rode that dirt bike every single day
after school. Eventually, I outgrew that dirt bike and we sold it and got a bigger one. My
love for dirt bikes continued and I started going to tracks and racing. I was always one
out of two girls that would race against the boys. I was intimidated at first and did not
know how I was going to beat them because they were boys. My daddy did not let that
stay in my mind too long. You can do anything a boy can, Hannah. If not better, if you
put your mind to it. my parents always told me. My first race I came in fifth place out of
twenty five boys and one girl. I even got my first trophy! So excited I felt like I
accomplished the world. I was hooked. And I never wanted to let go. At sixteen, I had a
the worst wreck of my dirt bike experience. My dad had just put air in my back tire and I
took of riding down a dirt road by my house. Out of nowhere, somehow I lost control and
the next thing I knew I was laying on the ground. My dirt bike was about eight feet away
from me. My helmet was broke, I was bleeding, I was in pain, my dirt bike was scratched
up and bent, and I did not know what had happened. I had no phone at the time, and I
was a good ways from my house. I had no choice but to get back on my dirt bike and ride
back home. When I got there I ran inside crying, screaming bloody murder. My parents
were freaking out. I had road rash really bad and if I
Japanese Business Norms And Customs, Culture, And...
As one may know, cultural aspects differ between a myriad of countries. In particular,
Japan is a traditional yet historical society that is worlds apart from the familiar United
States. Specifically, Geert Hofstede and Edward T. Hall conducted a study based on
cultural influences in relation to the workplace as well as characteristics of a high
context society. However, it is vital to recognize Japan s business norms and customs,
culture, and etiquettebefore one s journey begins.
Japanese Business Norms and Customs:
Geert Hofstede studied that Japanese business culture has much influence from the
power distance aspect. This element deals with the equality of the Japanese from a
hierarchy standpoint. Japanese society has a somewhat ... Show more content on

The business aspect is taken very seriously in Japan. A few tips within the business
world are provided.
If one needs to schedule an appointment, it is important to give several weeks notice by
communicating by telephone.
One should be prepared to meet with a group of professionals for fellow opinions.
Create quality business cards. They are exchanged very frequently within the business
culture. When received, one must study and read the card thoroughly.
Japanese Culture:
Culture in Japan is so pristine that it cannot be compared to American society. Most of
the Japanese practice one of two religions, Shinto and Buddhist, whereas in the United
States, hundreds of religions are practiced. The linguistic aspect of Japan is spoken so
beautifully that rarely does one hear the language being broken. There are several
values within Japanese culture, yet harmony is their main fortune. This thinking has
guided all civilization to work as one instead of focusing on a single individual. The
Japanese are aware of the age and status on fellow citizens to show respect. It is believed
that everyone must value those who are older with a higher status.
Japanese Etiquette:
The Japanese are known for being extremely polite and refined. If one is not familiar
with Japanese foreign etiquette, one could reflect as being offensive. When meeting a
Japanese civilian, most would think to shake hands. However, it is known that one does
not shake hands but bows. The
What Is Wikipedia Inaccurate
It is an age of the online encyclopedia. Wikipedia, the largest online encyclopedia in
today s world, has already changed the way people access information to some extent.
The online encyclopedia is not only just the digital edition of traditional encyclopedia but
also every user of it can contribute materials (Murgia). This collaborative modification
feature of Wikipediahas already been widely accepted by many people. Every month,
Wikipedia has more than 18 billion page views on average and nearly 500 million
unique visitors. (Anderson, Hitlin and Atkinson). Roughly 75,000 volunteers edit and
write articles on Wikipedia every month (Cohen). However, the prosperity of the online
encyclopedia has been accompanied with a decline of traditional... Show more content on

Many people claim that information on online encyclopedias such as Wikipedia may be
inaccurate because the contributors are anonymous (Seigenthaler). Many anonymous
writers may lack the required academic background or related experience to write
credible articles. Articles that are written by non academic writers may contain factual
errors or unverified information. Moreover, articles that are edited by unprofessional
editors may not present the intended ideas clearly or the articles may not to be structured
properly. Furthermore, the free editing also reduces the information accuracy. Because
any user can edit content, some articles may not hold a neutral point of view. Articles
may contain the author s personal political beliefs, religious beliefs and bias. Also,
because every user can edit content, hackers and amoral users may use this opportunity to
create false information to deceive people. Compared with the online encyclopedia, the
accuracy of traditional printed encyclopedia seems to be much higher. For example, the
articles in the encyclopedia Britannica were written by a staff of about 100 full time
editors and more than 4,000 expert contributors (Simonson). Not everyone has the chance
to write on the traditional printed encyclopedia; hence, the information on it is much more

Critique of Fist Stick Knife Gun
The Book Fist Stick Knife Gun by Geoffrey Canada is a biographical account of his
childhood in the south Bronx. He and his 4 brothers were raised by only their mother.
She would survive on no more than ten dollars a week. He moved several times as a
child until finally landing on union avenue, the place were many of his life lessons
were learned and at times applied. He learned about the ranking process of kids on
union Ave. and how the only way to improve your status was to use your fists to fight
your way up the chain. Looking back Geoffrey Canada notices the major shift in attitudes
concerning the rules of the streets. What once was ... Show more content on

The lower categories were the early teens and the pre teens. The early teens were just
learning the rules whereas the pre teens couldn t go off of the sidewalk. Geoffrey
belonged to the lowest rung, the sidewalk group. As time went on he got in many fights,
sometimes with friends just to dig himself out of the bottom group. He soon became the
kid not to challenge because he learned how to fight.
The next was Stick . Their wasn t much mention of this phase in his life, but he does
mention the fact that in certain circumstances, a broken bottle or a stick can be used in
self defense when the opponent uses a weapon. The place where this would happen is at
school. The rules of the streets still applied but the problem was many different gangs
associated and congregated at his junior high. So everyone their follows different
rules, some gangs might think the use of weapons is acceptable, so Union Ave. people
have to adjust these circumstances and use a stick or a broken bottle to defend
themselves. As he grew even older he began to notice other gangs tendencies of
carrying knives. He realized that this fact changed the code of conduct. No longer
would be a good fist fighter keep you from confrontation. Even the most unskilled
fighter could win a fight and be on top if they knew how to swing a blade. One day
Geoffrey lucked out, because he found an old
Building and Using Good Teams in the Workplace Essay
At the MIT Human Dynamics Laboratory a research study was conducted in an attempt
to find out what factors make an effective team. Researcher Alex Sandy Pentland (2012)
first sought out companies with multiple teams that were comparable, but had fluctuating
performance. He then outfitted these teams with socio metric badges. These badges,
which are also known as sociometers, automatically measure face to face interaction,
body motion, and vocal features among other things. Through multiple studies and the
analysis of this data Pentland suggests that communication is the single most important
factor of an effective team.
The study goes on to detail some of the observable communicative characteristics of these
successful teams. Active ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Inevitably these efforts will cost an organization money and time. The monetary cost
range from teambuilding exercises to bringing in a speaker. Time costs could include
anything from planning the engagement to the potential time employees may be away
from working. Company leaders want to know what will be the return on investment of
these exercises.
Currently as much as 70% of workers in the United States are not engaged in their jobs,
(EHStoday.com). This staggering statistic indicates that without teambuilding activities,
which help employees to buy into the company s focus and directives as well as work
more productively with one another, workers are typically performing less effectively
than they are truly capable of.
Teambuilding activities, as evidenced from the info graphic below, are one tool that
employers can use in order to increase collaboration, help to build trust within the team,
and reduce conflict in the work place. All of these factors will help to improve employee
productivity within any given workplace.
Using Teams
Building a team and using a team are uniquely different from one another. Team building
focuses on the formation of the team, while team use concentrates on the function of the
team. Perhaps the most difficult aspect of using a team is first developing a culture of
teamwork within the team. From childhood to adults, Americans have been pushed to be
the best, to compete against one another for the
Warren Bennett Believes That The Old Waiter Is A Materialist
Warren Bennett believes that the Older Waiter is a materialist. I agree that the Old
Waiter is a materialist and his views of the world as having nothing. According to
Bennett s claim that the Old waiter is a Materialist, the older waiter is unable to master
such faith or confidence, and beyond material there is nothing (Bennett 75). The
definition reads the emphasis on material objects, comforts, and considerations, with a
disinterest in or rejection of spiritual, intellectual or cultural values (dictionary.com). But,
I think that the Old Waiter feels this ways because he has nothing in his life I have never
had confidence and I am not young. (Hemmingway). The Old waiter fits the definition
seeking comfort and is hesitant to close up... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Old Man is used as a conversation for the two waiters to contrast their views of the
world. I agree with Bennett that the Old Man is used as a topic of discussion. The two
waiters are able to discuss what they think of the old man. The old man and the young
waiter both have nothingness in their lives. In comparison to the younger waiter who
actually has a wife and wants to go home every night I m not lonely. I have a wife
waiting in bed for me (Hemmingway). The Old man is out drinking because he has no
wife and has nothing in his life. Later we see the reflective human condition in that the
Older Waiter goes out drinking for himself, he relfects because he has nothing too. I
agree with Bennett that the younger waiter is in a hurry, he actually has something,
but unlike the two older men they prefer to stay out drinking to be away from the
darkness of their homes. I think that the importance of this getting old people seem to
lose their function. The young waiter is fresh and the life is waiting for him. In
comparison to the old men who are now old and reflect on their lives. They wished
they could have done something different or had a better life. It is important to have
something and people around to be happy. It is easy to look at others and judge that
they do not belong. But like the old man who lost his wife, the younger waiter had a
wife and companionship. Hemmingway is getting at gloomy part of life, in the end we
are all lonely individuals when we die. That is what I think Hemmingway wanted to
make this
