Ereader Case Study Essay
Data is an important component used by all technology and businesses to gain insights
and refine their marketing techniques to improve customer experience. Through the use
of data analysis companies can capture a large amount of data, and retrieve information
regarding the company s trends. In Richard s case using data analytics allows him to
gain better insights on customer behaviors, in which he was able to determine which
factors influence a user to purchase the eReader early. These factors will allow the team
to develop new businessmodels and improve their marketingstrategies to capture these
individuals ( Big Data Analytics , 2017). For example, if most of the early users are from
California, it would be beneficial to promote the eReader... Show more content on

Additionally, I was able to learn how to use RapidMiner to clean and analyze the data
to determine the confidence level that a user would purchase a eReader. For example,
for the user ID of 19889, we can say with a confidence score of 0.410 that the user
would be an early adopter of the product. Moreover, I have learned the importance of
cleaning data and the impact dirty data has on the analysis of a situation. Any outliers,
missing, and empty data can skew and impact the creation of a model that best fits the
organization s strategy and question. This analysis provides the company with the
information as to how to improve their marketing strategies to attract certain customers
to purchase the eReader early. As a data engineer, I focus on extracting and loading the
data into a useable format for the data scientists and analyst to use and perform data
models. I hope to use the knowledge learned in this course to determine if the data
being loaded is usable for the teams and the methods I can take to present a clean
dataset. Presenting an accurate model can be the difference between a company s success
and failure for attracting new
Analysis Of Blade Runner And Frankenstein
The question of what makes something truly alive and human has been hotly disputed
for an incredibly long time. Different viewpoints have different criteria, but all roads
eventually lead to the same conclusion. Humanism is, at it s most basic form, the ability
to objectively think and make decisions based upon one s past experiences and moral
compass. Blade Runnerand Frankenstein both confront the issue of non humans
displaying humancharacteristics. Replicants and the Monster both are on the very
outskirts of humanity, but they are capable of rational thought and compassion, along
with the pursuit of happiness. This has created a sort of creepy feeling, with our modern
perspective of humanism encroaching on the progressive views of the two stories in
question. Blade Runner and Frankenstein have a warped concept of human life in the
way of the place of science in the creation of life, the prejudice of xenophobia, and an
uncomfortableness with one s values of true humanism. Shelley s Frankenstein
demonstrates the uneasiness that comes with creating life through unnatural means.
Blade Runner also confronts the inner conflict of Deckard as he wrestles with his
feelings for Rachael and his mission to terminate the other replicants. Tying the two
together, both artificial humans in the stories are very similar. The beings are
amalgamations of parts, human flesh in Frankenstein and mechanical parts in Blade
Runner. The semi humans are both interested in blending in, along
The Effect Of Effective Technology On British Land...
In this essay I will be talking about how effective technology was in British land
campaigns during the First World War and the Second World War. The first source we
are presented with is source E. It is an interpretation of the effectiveness of British
generals during the First World War, written by Gary Sheffield in 2001. It s purpose is
to show consensus of the interpretations of the generals in the First World War, and to
also show his personal interpretation. He is doing this since he is a revisionist. Source E
supports the statement because Sheffield uses the word Donkeys to describe the
ineffectiveness of the generals during the First World War and to show that the generals
may have made mistakes. However, the second part of the... Show more content on

However, there are also some limitations to this source. For example, it misses out a lot
of other technology which was used is the First World War, since this is only an
extract we can not see all. Another limitation is that the extract is from a book, this
means the author (Sheffield) may have deliberately controversial in order for people to
interested in is book and ultimately get more sales. Overall, this source gives us a bit of
information, which both support and dispute the statement. The first part talks about the
mistakes made during the First World War, however the second part talks about how
weapons were used successfully, this shows that the source is objective. Source F is a
primary source of a painting, which was created in WW1 by John Sargent. Sargent was
paid by the British government to document the war, so it could be shown to future
generations what happened during the First World War. Its purpose it so make the
viewer question the morality of using gas and the possible affect it could have on
thousands of men. The source supports the statement, by showing the sun setting in the
background it symbolises the sacrifice of the wasted life of the men. The source also
shows a group of soldiers playing football in the background, this shows us that gas
attacks were a frequent thing during the First World War, this shows us that technology
was not me to prevent gas attack, overall, supporting the statement. However, the source
also disproves the statement,
