1. The gradation and other specification for Semi Dense Bituminous Concrete adopted for the said job have
been given below:-
Minimum Marshal stability (75 blows) at 600C = 820 Kg
Marshal Flow value at 600C = 2-4 mm
Air Void (%) = 3-5
Percentage Void Filled with Bitumen = 65-78
Number of compaction blow on each on the Marshal Specimen = 75
2. Aggregate Gradation

The aggregates 11.2mm, 5.6mm, Stone Dust and Lime Dust are mixed in the ratio 42 : 32 : 24 : 02 to arrive at
the combined grading.
3. Suitability of Bitumen (VG30) sample as supplied to the undersigned was tested following IS: 73-2013 and
the result has been given in the following table.

5. Bituminous Mix Design was carried out for Semi Dense Bituminous Concrete following Marshal method .
Three specimen were taken for a specific binder content for each category of mix and the average of the values
thus obtained for different parameters have been taken into consideration for final analysis . The test results
thus obtained are given in the following table.
