Scope of Recruitment & Selection


It is a process of screening, sourcing, shortlisting, and. selecting the right candidates
for the vacant positions.

Purpose:

Purpose of Recruitment & Selection is to hire the right person for the vacant
positions

Business Rules Governing Process :

 No recruitment without Manpower Requisition Form by HOD.


 No advertisement/consultancy to fill up the vacancy unless and until its
hot recruitment.
 Don’t allot work to new employee without proper induction.
 No any external relation with consultancy firm.

Title: SOP for Human Resource_Recruitment & Selection

Procedure explaining the details of the process :

1. In order to recruit a candidate in a systematic & desired manner the


HOD/concerned superior needs to provide MRF (Manpower Requisition
Form) approved by MD/GVP to HR department. (Note: No vacancy can
be processed without approved MRF)
2. After receiving the MRF, HR will start Recruitment process.
3. HR with the help of Core Management will find whether to promote any
employee within the company. If NO then find out from employee
reference, bio data bank or Job Portals.
4. If HR is not able to find candidate from above sources, then after taking
approval of Management, he can give advertisement in newspaper or
can take help from Consultancy firm. (Note: This process can also be
used in case of HOT vacancies)
5. After getting the no of CV’s HR has to short list the few candidates and
finalizes the candidate by following methods:
 Personal Round
 Technical/Panel Round (By department head/GVP & HR; an
interview feedback form should be filled by interviewer and
submitted it to HR )
 Personal interaction with MD (only in case of AGM & Above level)

6. Before finalizing the candidate, HR has to check last few months’ salary
slips, bank statement as well as Reference check (at least 2 reference).
7. Once all formalities are done then provide the offer letter to candidate.
8. Before candidate joins kindly make arrangement of his sitting and
amenities which are required like Desktop/Laptop, chair etc.
9. On the day of joining of new candidate, arrange induction and introduce
him/her with company employees.
10.Provide Appointment letter and keep photocopy of same in his personal
file.
11.Ask the candidate to fill the Joining Form & Collect the Qualification
docs, photographs, appointment letter & experience letter from past
employer, ID proof, Address proof and file it in personal file.
12.Once employee finish his probation period, get filled the Probation
Evaluation Form by his immediate Supervisor as well as HOD. If HOD
satisfied with his performance then provide Confirmation letter to
employee and prepare his/her PMS.
