Exercise:
1. How do you call a document developed after requirement analysis phase?
The document developed after the requirement analysis phase is called Requirement
Specialization Document.
2. Describe the following requirements:
Functional requirements: these are wanted operations of a program/system as described in
software development and systems engineering. They are also part of requirement analysis.
Technical requirements: these are technical issues that must be considered to successfully
complete a project.
Organizational requirements: these formulate rules about how users are to perform their tasks.
3 Discuss about types of feasibility at analysis phase
Feasibility analysis is an evaluation of a proposed project or system to determine if it is technically
feasible, feasible within the estimated cost, and profitable. It's an important part of the analysis phase in
project management and software development. Here are some types of feasibility analysis:
Technical Feasibility: This estimates whether the current resources (both hardware and software)
along with the required technology are available to develop the project. It also analyzes the technical
skills and capabilities of the team, whether existing technology can be used or not, and if
maintenance and up-gradation is easy for the chosen technology.
Operational Feasibility: These measures show how well the solution will work in the organization.
It also assesses how easy the product will be to operate and maintain after deployment.
Economic Feasibility: This study analyzes the cost and benefit of the project. It includes all
required costs for final development like hardware and software resources required, design and
development cost, operational cost, etc. Then it analyzes whether the project will be financially
beneficial for the organization or not.
Legal Feasibility: This study analyzes the project from a legal point of view. It includes analyzing
barriers of legal implementation of the project, data protection acts or social media laws, project
certificate, license, copyright etc.
Schedule Feasibility: This study mainly analyzes timelines/deadlines for the proposed project
which includes how much time teams will take to complete the final project.
