SUBJECT: Division Training on Campus Journalism
PARTICULARS
1. Pursuant to Republic Act (RA) No. 7079, also known as Campus Journalism
Act of 1991, a Division Training on Campus Journalism for school paper advisers
from both the elementary and secondary levels, public and private schools, will be
held on November 2-4, 2022 at CB Mall, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan
2, The following are the objectives of the said training:
> to capacitate school paper advisers and relevant field personnel with the
understanding of the importance of journalism by expressing it through different,
journalistic endeavors and approaches;
> "sustain advocacy on social consciousness and environmental awareness;
promote responsible journalism and fair and ethical use of social media; and
> prepare for the different levels of press conferences (Division, Region and
National Press Conferences) and consequently train campus journalists in the

school level.
3. The training shall have the following events or categories:

__[42-Photojournalism 7 4. The participants shall pay a registration fee of two hundred pesos (200.00) to
cover the expenses on speakers’ honoraria, food, accommodation, travel expenses of
the technical working group and other incidental expenses. The said registration fee
will be charged to their school’s MOOE or school paper or local school funds.
5. __ Since only the school paper advisers will participate in the said training, it is
expected that these advisers shall consequently train their potential writers in the
school level. The school head, the school paper adviser and all subject area teachers
shall cooperate in the training of the student writers by excusing them in their
classes during their writeshop and other related journalism activities.
