• DIY (Do It Yourself) is an idea, a philosophy, a lifestyle. UClean strives to drive “human
change” and develop “Self Operated or DIY” laundromats at a global level starting with
India. By reducing the dependence on external stakeholders (house help or not-so-
effective washing machines), UClean strives to promote a culture of DIY where DIY
becomes a way of life.

• “Free time or me-time” is becoming scarce. In metro cities and tier 1 cities of the
country, density of nuclear and DINK (Double Income No Kids) families and bachelors is
increasing who are always struggling to find some “me-time” for the family, away from
all the worldly distractions.

• UClean is targeting to introduce this DIY culture in India and build it from scratch by
leveraging franchising, technology and hard core analytics in laundry systems

About the Founder

• Arunabh is the Founder and CEO at UClean. Having seen the


huge success of laundromat in US, Europe and South East Asia,
Arunabh has decided to take up the cudgels for the concept in
the country and bring about the “Laundry Revolution” in India.
• Arunabh strongly believes that timing is ripe for laundry
concepts in India and that the Indian customer is smart and
mature to embrace outsourced laundry. Laundry concepts
would work very well in India if it is well executed and is driven
at the back end by Technology and analytics.
• An IIT Bombay graduate, Arunabh brings forth good amount of
experience in the Franchising and Start-up space. He has
previously worked with Franchise India where he set-up the
entire international business practice for the company. Very
recently, he was hired by Venture Capital firm Matrix Partners
to build from scratch the North India business for one of their
portfolio brands –Treebo Hotels. In his 12 months at Treebo,
Arunabh developed ~36 co-branded Treebo hotels across 6 cities
in North India
