Crochet Baby Blanquet

1st row: (RS). Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc.
GAUGE *1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Ch 1. Skip
10.5 sts and 11 rows = 4" [10 cm] next sc. Rep from * to last 2 sts. 1 sc
in Linen St Pat. in next ch-1 sp. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first sc. *Ch 1.
INSTRUCTIONS Skip next sc. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp.
Stripe Pat Rep from * to last 2 sc. Ch 1. Skip
With A, work 2 rows. next sc. 1 sc in last sc. Turn.
MATERIALS With C, work 2 rows. These 2 rows form Linen St Pat.
Bernat® Forever Fleece™ (9.9 oz/280 g; 194 yds/177 m) With A, work 2 rows.
Contrast A White Noise (61004) 4 balls With B, work 2 rows. Cont in Linen St Pat, keeping cont
Contrast B Branch (61047) 2 balls These 8 rows form Stripe Pat. of Stripe Pat, until work from beg

Contrast C Beech (61046) 2 balls BLANKET ending after 8th row of Stripe Pat.
Size U.S. M/13 [9 mm] crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge. With A, ch 116. Work 2 rows in A. Fasten off.
Yarn needle. 7" [18 cm] wide piece of cardboard for tassels. Set up row: (WS). 1 sc in 2nd ch
from hook. *Ch 1. Skip next ch.
1 sc in next ch. Rep from * to end
of chain. Turn. 115 sts.
First row of Stripe Pat is now
complete.

Border: With RS facing, join A with


sl st to any corner sp.
1st rnd: Ch 2 (does not count as
st). Work 1 rnd of dc evenly around
perimeter of Blanket, working 3 dc
into each corner sp. Join with sl st
to first dc.
Fasten off.

Tassels: (make 4). Wrap B around


a 7" [18 cm] piece of cardboard
30 times. Tie securely at one end.
Cut across other end. Wrap yarn
6 times around tassel 1½" [4 cm]
from tied end and fasten securely.
Attach Tassels to each corner of
Blanket.
