Course Objectives:
● Knowledge: To understand concepts of entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship
● Skills: To be able to take up the process for getting patent.
● Attitude: To develop entrepreneurial mindset.

Course Outcomes:

After completion of this course, students will be able to:


1. To explain and Define the concept of Entrepreneurship
2. Apply Idea generation process for developing new business ideas
3. Analyse the businesses models of various businesses
4. Critically Assess Business Plans
5. Develop own Business Plan for starting new venture
Course Contents:

Unit 1: Entrepreneurship (6 Sessions)


· Definition of Entrepreneur and Innovation, Entrepreneurial Skills, Role of
Entrepreneurs, Qualities and Traits of an Entrepreneur.
· Intrapreneur-Meaning of Intrapreneur, Intrapreneur and Entrepreneurship as a Career.
· Preparing to be an entrepreneur.

Unit 2: Entrepreneurial Process (6 Sessions)


· Entrepreneurial Process-Developing an Effective Business Model.
· Factors affecting Entrepreneurial growth.

Unit 3: Idea Generation & Implementation (6 Sessions)


· Identifying Business Opportunities
· Idea Generation Process -Criteria to select a product, SWOT of a product.
· How to Create and Protect Intellectual Property

Unit 4: Business Plan for New Ventures (6 Sessions)


· Meaning and Importance of Business Plan.
· Elements, Critical Assessment and preparing of a Business Plan.

Unit 5: Assignments and Case Studies (6Sessions)


· Business Model of -New generation of entrepreneur’s viz. social entrepreneurship,
serial entrepreneurship, transnational entrepreneurship, Health entrepreneurship, Tourism
entrepreneurship, Rural entrepreneurship, Women entrepreneurship etc.
· Case studies - (of successful / unsuccessful Indian and International entrepreneurs
(Startups/ Family Business).
