Community Action``
- a manifestation of a collective control and ownership of a situation that generally infl

There are different appropriate levels of community engagement depending on the issue in the co

Different appropriate levels of community engagement
1. A one- way relationship on disseminating information, to community members can be do
traditional, mass media and social media.
2. Consultation – involves obtaining stakeholder approval for an initiative, wherein the purp
interaction is to get feedback on policies, programmers or services that affect the genera
community directly or in which they may have a significant interest.
3. Involvement- refers to engaging community stakeholders as volunteers or consumers of
visualized service learning or community outreach project and its associated services.
4. Active Participation- allows the involvement of the community members in the planning,
implementation and the overall assessment of development initiatives, which emphasize
community knowledge, agency, control and ownership that is defined by the ideal outcom
drivers of community- centered development.
Different Modalities of Community Engagement
1. Transactional modality- a one way community project or activity from the service provide
community.
2. Transitional modality- a two-way community projects done through the process of consu

3. Transformational Modality- also a two-way community project accomplished through an
