What is
Graffiti Art?
The term graphite originally referred to
ancient inscriptions. These can be words
or images found on the walls of ancient
tombs, public buildings, or ruins. Graphite
is visible from Kombe Roman writing or
the ruins of Pompeii. The term graphite is
synonymous with vandalism. Graphite as
vandalism is now increasingly recognized
as a type of work of art.
Graphite is a form of visual
communication created in public places.
Where does grafitti
come from?
In the late sixties, graffiti reached New York. This
new art form began to develop in the 1970s,
when people began writing names, or labels, on
buildings throughout the city. In the mid-
seventies, it was difficult to see out the window
of a subway car, as the trains were entirely
covered in spray paintings known as vomit,
letters, masterpieces. In the early days, taggers
were part of street gangs whose aim was to
mark their territory. They work in groups called
'crews'. The term 'graffiti' was first used by The
New York Times and novelist Norman Mailer. Art
galleries in New York started buying graffiti in
the early seventies.
What is Mural
Art?
Mural art is usually are paintings on
walls or buildings that are no longer
in use. drawing or painting on
permanent walls, tables and walls.
So, if you draw anything on a
medium that is permanent or
permanent in nature, it is called a
mural.
The term mural comes from Latin,
namely from the word "MURUS"
which means wall.
Where does Mural
come from?
In prehistoric times, the country that
had the most wall paintings or murals
was none other than France. One of
the most famous murals or wall
paintings at that time was the mural
by Pablo Picasso.
Pablo Picasso created a mural called
Guernica or Guernica y Luno. This
mural art was created during the civil
war in Spain in 1937.
The purpose of making this mural is
to commemorate the bombing by
German troops which occurred in a
small village where most of them
were Spanish.

In the Big Indonesian Dictionary, vandalism is the act of
damaging and destroying works of art and their beauty.

territory in North Africa. From that
incident, the Vandal tribe became
legendary in European history due to
the acts of violence they committed.

"vandalism" was first used in English
to refer to destructive acts carried
out by people or groups who have no
moral or ethical values. Since then,
acts of vandalism have become a
common social problem throughout
the world.
